Got my small little USB soldering iron the other day. Big Clive did a video on it a while back. Super handy for basic shit like headphone repairs and basic through hole n shit. Soldered these trimpots to a breadboard easy. Grab one if you're too poor for a TS100 and you dont want to deal with the size of a hakko clone or something all the time. Don't get it as your primary iron tho.

Got my I-into i8. Really nice packaging with a cute pouch and variety of tips, even including comply like foam ones. That is, until you notice that instead of second blue L size one I got another medium. The cable is simple not replaceable but actually really nice to the touch and doesn't tend to tangle, straight plug though, I don't find those durable. Three buttons are really nice and they're easy to find and press, I guess them being on the right side cable is the norm now. Despite them being a bit leaner than KZ ZS5s, i8 actually stick out a bit more in your ears, thanks to design and a big ass 10mm driver. It does make them really easy to insert though, world of difference from ZS5. Insertion depth is p. shallow, shouldn't be that much isolation. They sound great, big dumb bass but doesn't mud mids at all. Highs are all there and p. nice but don't ride the razors edge like ZS5. I like 'em, maybe a bit more than KZs.
Still waiting for my knife (just entered the country, unless it gets stuck in customs I'll get it tomorrow) and bunch of misc shit.

As for the drones I'd like to take some pics from aerial POV or difficult to reach location, so airtime isn't an important factor, maybe 10 minutes maximum, size isn't and range isn't an issue. I ended up ignoring what everyone told me and got the Redmi 5 Plus only because I wanted to try the 18:9 screen. It's a great phone but there isnt much advantage to the extra screen if the space is taken by the virtual buttons. Xiaomi plans to add the iPhone X's gestures as an option on the next official update, thus giving you the extra screen. You can get the gestures now using the development ROM but I ain't betatesting shit. The Note 4 already has custom ROM support while the Redmi 5 Plus still doesnt. Aside from that they are pretty much the same shit.
