Linux can and already does support a graphical environment without any of that stuff. It only ever shows up when you open a terminal, and there's no rule that says it has to be that way.

Without Linux, GNU is useless garbage. Without GNU, Linux can go on just fine

As far as revolutionizing shit, Apple is still resting on the laurels of the Mac desktop era. Yeah iPhones and iPads sell really well, but they're not revolutionary at all. They're just flashy entertainment devices with very limited power and a limited selection productivity tools, much like their Android counterparts. Macs are still useful today but they're very neglected relative to how they were before.
