Who HYPE for the S9 phones?

venturebeat.com/2018/01/26/these-are-the-samsung-galaxy-s9-and-s9/

idiots are

My Honor 7x has been serving me well the past 2 weeks. Only $200

Ehhh I can't say I'm all that excited. Won't be nearly as big of jump from the S7-S8. Also there's a good chance the Snapdragon845 won't out perform the iPhone's bionic chip, so nothing to look forward to on the hardware side of things either.

I'm still using a LG Nexus 5 from 2013

This. Not really anything special except for dual speaker. Which is really tempting me.
Note8 here.

...

Why aren't the screens edge to edge, like the S8?

>$1000 phone
lol no thank you

>both devices are said to feature variable aperture on their primary 12-megapixel cameras. It’s a mechanical adjustment that switches between f/2.4 and smallest-in-class f/1.5.
Oh baby.
Mechanical aperture in a standard smartphone camera? Things are getting serious.

Don't talk to me or my son ever again :^)

memes are becoming real life

You mean the S8S

Only 12mp is disappointing. The S8 is 16mp.

why do people waste so much money on these things
$1000 and most of them are still locked down and run like shit

i smiled

>no headphone jack
Lol

No one really cares about the megapixel count.
Bigger imaging pixels lead to better performance, which is why Apple has stayed at 12mp as well.

Most leaks for the S9 so far say the headphone jack is staying.

Now we just need Samsung to start being more open about rooting. Have them release an open OS we can flash officially.

Not interested unless it's 4k.

So they can sell edge version again later

I guess it's the equivalent of others buying desktop PCs. They spend so much time on them that they don't care about paying extra for the 'latest and greatest' phone.
