Nice OP

proper playlist manager when?

must have features
-search
-browse
-edit

this script
ix.io/EJZ
finds and download subtitles but mpv does not load them because their name is not the same as the video name
what do

Not familiar with it but have you tried adding
sub-auto=fuzzy
to your config?

Windows Polaris support when?

=all did the trick thanks

Google Fuchsia support when?

why is mpv so fun to play with?

Right? This is the reason I use mpv. Configuring mpc-hc with madvr is just a pain in the butt.

I just realized that libplacebo is basically open source madvr. Is haasn the madshi of open source?

Madshi is really pissed off haasn destroyed him.

can someone tell the developers to stop fucking around with options? i have to update mpv.conf every other week with their "improvements"

>stop improving
Luddites

it's one thing to improve the code, but must you change the options around every other week?
it's one thing to add options for new features, but changing shit around, renaming options, re-renaming them to something completely different a week later, this is just shitcoding at this point

Whats changed in the last week? Nothings changed for me and I just updated. Also, no ones forcing you to update so often.

If madvr added support for mpv would anyone here use it?
Personally I'd like to see it for no other reason than having more options to play with

How can one become a poweruser in it???

Use it.

Welp, it happened, I finally got a video that shit the bed in mpchc and I had to use mpv

thankfully someone made an mpchc shell for mpv so I have a real ui not the shit they think is a ui with mpv

how to solve this?

welcome to open source faggot, leave any hopes of a good ui at the door.

>sacrificing functionality for shiny buttons

If he open sourced it, maybe.

Can mpv play full Blu-rays? If so, how? I've got a folder that contains 2 folders, "BDMV" and "CERTIFICATE".

Or is this going to be an instance of "use something else" since mpv doesn't support menus?

go into BDMV and choose the biggest file, usually first or the second file.

Has anyone done a modern performance test between default configurations of mpv and mpc-hc?

mpv bd:// --bluray-device=

Does mpc-hc have a raw throughput test?

haasn.xyz/posts/2017-10-05-how-to-benchmark-mpvs-raw-throughput.html

Solve what?

Assuming you don't mean MadVr, out of the box MPC-HC is technically faster as it uses hwdec by default
I believe mpv is faster when talking strictly sw rendering however

I don't think any player other than PowerDVD supports BD menus.

subtitle...

Check out the subtitle section in the manual? I can't help you if I don't know what's wrong with them

Thanks guys, got it working.

This is Crunchyroll RIP

you want thinner border?
sub-font-size=56
sub-font="Arial"
sub-color="#FFFFFFFF"
sub-border-color="#FF000000"
sub-border-size=2.0
is what I use

vsfilter/libass issue

What options are you using? The only thing I've had to change was opengl-hq to gpu-hq and that was ages ago.
