I have received today James Donkey 112s. This is a great mouse for the claw grip. I'm pretty satisfied with it. The only problem i have that the sensor is still working when computer is off. Does somebody have the same problem?

Aiek M5 came in. Left it in the mailbox overnight when it was -25 so it was a frozen brick this morning. Weighs next to nothing and fits in the coin pocket of my jeans. Interestingly enough, there is only really one peice of solid plastic used in it's construction (the back plate/case). The front "plate" is just a really stiff sticker. Dimensions are exactly that of a credit card aside from thickness, which is 5mm. Came with a tiny noodle cable. Lighter than my vphone S8. I wonder if it even has a battery lol

I almost pulled the trigger on a few ones by checking their community support etc on 4pda (russian). The only thing keeping me from ordering though, is the taxation of imports. I don't want to pay 20% VAT for a cheap ass phone (kind of defeath the idea of getting a cheap chink phone).

It took more than two months of waiting for all the parts but today I finally replaced the broken screen on my Nexus 5.
I got the screen from ebay and the suction cup tool, heat gun, glue and double-sided tape from aliexpress. I might've managed without the heat gun and suction cup but it's probably significantly easier to pry off the screen when it's heated and with the tool. Only got slightly chinked on with the screen; it didn't have a speaker grill. I broke off the grill part from the old screen and glued it on the new one. I lost the grill mesh in the process.
The heat gun has a really short power cord which is annoying but it's worked fine so far. The heat gun can find use in the future with soldering. For the suction cup I can't imagine any future use right now except removing phone screens again. I've already used the glue for some little stuff and the tape could get used somewhere else too.

I got a couple of dog toys off of Aliexpress. The ball one looks and feels just like ones you see in pet stores, seems pretty sturdy. It's about $5 less than the ones in pet stores. It smells pretty strong though, I don't care though it's a dog toy. The cog thing is made of a much more flexible rubber, and I haven't found a similar one in pet stores around here. The cogs don't come off but they do spin in place. I lead tested them both, both came back negative, and I boiled them before giving them to my dog. They surprisingly held up pretty well.

I just had a Thunderobot St-Plus delivered to me.
It's a chink laptop with top tier hardware priced very competitively for its league. I got it for 999 EUR from amazon but if you don't care about delivery speed then it can also be ordered from China for cheaper.
My experience trying to order wasn't the best. The company has a European branch but only delivers to a handful of countries. People in their call center didn't know that the eu website listed all countries in the world available for delivery.
Surprisingly amazon had delivery in my country so I got it from there. It came from the UK, I think, even though I ordered from the German amazon store.
The listing said English QWERTY keyboard but it's a UK instead of a US one.
Now, for the built quality. Its base is very sturdy, and the keyboard has a great response. It is great for typing. The keys are supported by very thin scissor switches, so I'm not sure if that's something most gamers would be after in spite of this laptop being recommended for games.
The IPS monitor is very thin and has very much flex in its base but I don't think there's reason to poke at it.
When setting up was that the print manual wasn't very helpful. It tried to address all three models in the st line of the brand and would get pretty confusing. It was apparent that the guide was written prior to their marketing names because models are addressed by "a, b and c"...
On drivers. It's not made clear by the guide that drivers are already installed. The bookled hints of a cd rom included in the package while the st-plus doesn't even have a cd/dvd driver...
I tried to download drivers from the website and they were packed in cd rom format. Each driver was a separate download but all packed in the same format. Moreover, running the executable would come up with an installer that had an awful GUI and character that were gibberish.
Thankfully, this procedure is only required for optional drivers if you want to get any of them...

18650's are like ~$6 where I live. Haven't really found anyone selling butchered laptop batteries tho.. I guess you can find old laptop batteries at the dump some times and salvage the decent cells. Just today I picked apart an old laptop battery I had lying around. was a 4 cell one and the one that made it stop working properly was at ~2.1V Charging it atm with my bench power supply. the other 3 was at around 3V. I was about to pull the trigger on the Nitecore TIP meme about a month ago, but I stumbled on the MATEMINCO CSF-01. On paper it seems a bit better all-around than the TIP.
The XPG3 has some nice output on max. It's kinda impressive since it comes out of something not bigger than a car key. On the left it has a 365nm LED, not much to say about it other than it works (tested it on bills and a CAC). Perfect addition to my EDC autism.
Only negative I have to say about the CSF-01 is that it has no lock.

I find my ATE-S fine without EQ. They have a very comfortable, warm sound without excesses. Metal sounds amazing on them, as instrument separation is very good and the bloated midbass of most harder metal genres does not muddy the mids, and the generally "sibilant" cymbals are not tiring.
