Net Neutrality

>is going to hurt greedy companies like Google and Netflix
>literally less laws, the government is trying to control you less. this is a good thing unless you are a "nothing to hide" fag
did I mention Google is literally going to take a massive dent from this? the company we're all supposed to hate?
come on, how is this not a win? when did you become a bunch of bleeding heart liberals? should we make regulations against porn too?
in my book, anything that fucks the government and fucks google is okay.

I hate Comcast more than I hate Google.

>should we make regulations against porn too?
yes

Net Neutrality is nothing more than a tug of war between corporations who want to screw you over. Pro-NN means everyone can censor you for wrongthink, while anti-NN means ISPs can start charging you even more, while making more money for doing absolutely nothing. Neither side addresses the issue of there essentially being giant monopolies in the USA, which makes it impossible to start up your own ISP, so 4 big assholes can control the majority of the landlines and collude with eachother to keep prices high.

>b-but that's illegal
A couple million dollars thrown in the direction of the FCC says that it's now "healthy competition". A few million more dollars say that it doesn't count as bribery.

I don't see why people would hate google that much.
In general they don't do anything that people with at least basic level of competence can't circumvent and the normie botnet benefits the market.

This is classical attempt to mischaracterize your opponent as something your crowd hates in order to convince the crowd, but net neutrality supporters aren't liberals or statists. Net neutrality isn't a heavy-handed regulation and doesn't hurt competition. It's pretty much a bipartisan issue and a majority of the American population, support it, both politically in the left as well as in the right. Now stop trying to politicize a technical issue.

Sage and report paid ISP shills.

>if you let ISPs extort more money from you, that money will eventually trickle down back to you
>if you let ISPs extort more money from content providers, that money will eventually trickle down to you
>if you let ISPs control speech online, your speech on the Internet will be even freer
>if you let ISPs slow your Internet down, your Internet will be even faster

This is what ISP shills are actually suggesting.

If you put out the fire, it wins.

Max wouldn't cut off his nose to spite his face.

>government will control you less
This is completely false. They have the same rights against you (individual) they always did. They only won't affect ISPs (companies) much now, which only means you can get more fucked. US ISPs pretty much have local monopolies so the entire "competition ensures better quality service" does not apply.
I'm more against ISPs than I am against Google. Regulated internet is a mistake to begin with so I want ISPs to be completely removed from the picture.

Does Comcast affect me if I'm not a Burger?

>uses MS paint to edit pictures
>calls others tech illliterate
lol

go back to Sup Forums

>let's trust the former Verizon executive

But abortions are frowned upon and mentally unstable people can buy guns so there's that I guess.

GTFO Adobe shill

Yes. Companies watch other companies how far they can fuck the customers over. Then they copy it. Source: macroeconomics class

>uses a program that quickly suits his needs without bloat
>somehow tech illiterate

Someone who use vim or emacs instead of visual studio is probably tech illiterate in your eyes too

Censorship can happen independent of whether NN is applied or not.

Adding text to an image without photoshop? t.tech illiterate

Google if any company is actually fucking fine, they have so much fire power if someone is going to throttle them. Google is company that can kill an ISP.
What kind of smoke are you shitting?

The actual term 'Net Neutrality' was coined by a literal employee of the DoJ who advocated the need for regulating the internet to prevent scamming, CP, and revenge porn.

This is the perfect example of how elites are able to set agendas and frame the debate so that they always win.

that guy is full of shit but so are you

What does NN have to do with google?

The majority of supporters may not think of themselves as statist, but consider for a moment that George Soros's 'Open Society' was massively influential in making this an issue, to the point that he had organisations created\funded by Open Society in other countries trying to promote Net Neutrality. The actions of these powerful political organisations to dishonestly represent the degree of popular support at the very least suggests that those who do support it may have been unduly influenced by propaganda.

t. P. Ajit

Kinda ironic how with NN only helps scamming, CP and revenge porn to stay online and requires legal intervention, isn't it?

zombo.com
websites can be made to anything

The only proven dishonest actions to fake popular support were Ajit Pai's.

Reminder that just one year ago, Sup Forums and Sup Forums was fully in favor of net neutrality. What changed? Our board has been flooded by paid shills, that's what changed. That's a proven fact, we know for a fact that the FCC has done these things.
i too edit my pictures with MS paint
but c'mon look at his retarded font and arrow

>Don't like Google
>Don't use Google or their services

>Don't like Comcast or Century Link
>They're the only ISP in my town and so I have no choice.

Nah, fuck you.

Also, Google isn't hijacking my nxdomain responses to serve me ads.

You're reactively defending Net Neutrality, which does confirms what I said about the supporters. George Soros' 'Open Society' foundation literally goes around the world creating political organisations dedicated to being part of a network of pressure which can be used to promote whatever he likes and give the public the impression that there is 'grass roots' support - which helps to feed those who might legitimately support the policy. This is dishonest activism. It's propaganda. Whether you're left or right or whatever - surely you can see that it's dishonest? For those on the left it usurps the issues they might genuinely support - in favour of political goals set by a billionaire. For those on the right - they are forced to content with a gigantic fake rent-a-crowd. Soros did the same thing with the women's marches in Washington. There are plenty of roasties out there willing to march on behalf of women but in those cases they were entirely co-opted by Soros in a dishonest way.

Do you deny this?

>Pro-NN means everyone can censor you for wrongthink
if you think this, then your definition of net neutrality is fucked up and utterly wrong

So I'm supposed to fuck over myself, so a corporation I don't give a shit about can get fucked over? Why do you Sup Forumstards treat politics like a sport?

Nice - non argument and projections
(You) tried. .

"lol how do I economics"

>break into neighbors to steal tv
calls it how to make money .101
nigger

>bleeding heart liberals
collinsdictionary.com/us/dictionary/english/bleeding-heart-liberal -> "a person of left-wing or liberal views who is deemed to be excessively soft-hearted"
How does that term even work in this context? Net neutrality is about not being fucked by isps, it isn't about being moralistic.

they know more about you than you do yourself simply by surveilling practically everybody you have ever met, tracking their moves, parsing their email, choosing their search results, the next youtube videos they're going to watch etc

>less regulation is good
Tell that to the retirees who lost all thier 401k plans to the GFC.

>Hey lets prevent robber barons from putting tolls on the internet.
>LOL WTF GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE JUST LET THE CUNTS THIEVE FROM YOU LEL

technically having a legal system and law and order is also government interference.

Can I come to your house and deprive you of your property?
Remember no government interference allowed.

>just one year ago, Sup Forums and Sup Forums was fully in favor of net neutrality. What changed?
nothing. we still do...
however, upon inspecting the proposed regulations, we discovered that they did absolutely nothing.
NO regulation > SHIT regulation that explicitly allows the stuff it was supposed to stop
