- Is there a way to properly view Dropbox file history? Since they fucked up the web interface, I can only click the retarded "load more", and it's a chore. I also figured out you can add a &load=500 into the url, but that still sucks.
- Where can I rent a Windows Samba/Network share, like Hetzner Storage Box? Hetzner is good at read speeds, but writes are capped at 4MB/s, copying up shit takes forever.

Soooo Changed phone recently Been a while since i had an updated android phone (my last one was on 4.4.4) Now i must bind my phone with a google acount in order to call someone ? Is there any way to avoid that ?
Brayden Scott
>Now i must bind my phone with a google acount in order to call someone No? It literally prompts you at setup if you want a google account. But how else would you keep your apps updated? Should have went with Apple or a feature-phone if you are so anti-Google.
Caleb Lewis
is there any future in a hardware start-up?
Chase Kelly
I was using Chromium (from Woolyss) but they recently disabled my non-Chrome Store extensions.
Is there a different fork of Chromium that wont fuck me over like that?
Christopher Sanders
Vivaldi is a fork of Chromium, and I like the browser. You could try with it.
David Butler
So I get this error when trying to use my SD card (microSD with adapter) with my laptop. What is the issue? Is it a physical problem or a software one?
Carson Howard
I'm installing Windows 10 on an SSD, the installation completes fine but when I try to boot from the SSD the BIOS says it cannot see any bootable device.
Colton Reed
Forgot image.

Yeah on random APK mirrors. It's hell of a lot more risky than Google stealing your anime porn.
yeah, if you actually have the talent and money to pull it off?
^
Well, try it in other hardware. Try to clean it with "diskpart". But chances are that it's dead. SD cards die real quick. There ARE quality ones on the market, but most shops don't sell them because people don't want to pay the extra.
Boot order maybe wrong? Check your UEFI settings, boot order, and such. Check AHCI, etc.

Been using google docs >inb4 hurr googlebotnet to do my homework assignments. but honestly the listing system and trying to write math functions on it is a pain. we're required to write these things digitally though. anyone know of a better program?
Carter Jones
use latex for good formatting or maple or mathlab or mathcad or mathematica
Carson Jenkins
Quick dumb one:
boolean a = inputA[i];
I don't remember how Java works. If I change inputA later on, will a be affected? Is a set to what's currently at inputA[i] or does it bind the two together? I don't remember what pass by reference or whatever means
Elijah Evans
the boolean is stored on the stack and is not a pointer to the array element so it wont change later
Nicholas Watson
latex is great, you can find an online environment to write it in if you don't want to learn it
Carter Evans
>on random APK mirrors. no. the apps' website
you don't need google to update your apps if they're alright they'd have .apk on their site ()

I want in kinda blind so i didn't expect it to be this bad Also i use f-droid
Aiden Myers
> app website Yeah, most devs don't bother putting up a mirror... but yeah, up to you mate.
there is a safe mode where you choose which driver to load, or not to load. I mean, windows had this since XP... how to get this on 10, is a good question. but hey, just put in a pendrive/CD and refresh your install. worst thing that can happen is you have to refresh your grub. big stuff, 5 minutes of work.
Either learn Latex, or use Word + equation editor, it works very well IMO. Maybe the online Word also have that feature.
I did manage to affect my array somehow in Java, I still don't know how to this day. It was some work project, and one function used the array. And it was able to affect the array declared outside - passed to the function. I know C# can pass by ref, but Java?
still, you will cripple your device basically. apps are that make or break an Android or iOS device. without the full blown app world, they are just gimmicks you cannot use anything for. (I mean a 50$ chinkdroid can also run anything from F-Droid, the apps there are so simple)

Am I still okay with an i5 2000K if I simply overclock it? I'm getting sub 50FPS in games like WoW on mid-high settings and I want to fix that.

I tried using the youtube dl GUI thing but for some retarded reason it won't let me chose a custom quality for the URL to be downloaded, always defaults to max size and greys out the size option. What are some alternatives?
Anthony Collins
Oh and also apparently the videos it pulls are mute because it can't even merge the m4a audio file with the mp4 kek
I bought a prebuilt 'custom' computer that I selected the parts for and added Windows 10 Pro retail to. I've got it now and 3rd party AV I installed detected KMS so I checked Windows Defender and it has an exception added for KMS. They gave me DVD with 10 pro written with a sharpy. What's my best course of action? Obviously they've screwed me over hard here. Is there some big legal issues they face with MS?
Cooper Murphy
It's not the windows key, it's separate.
Dominic Phillips
yes, of course! I told you that the first time.
well I removed my plastic key thingie below the key from my keyboard, lol. hardware fix y'all.
hmm then you should have that. when you press F8 and have that boot menu, you can pick "with questions", and it will ask which driver to load or not load. 2 things: - I may remember wrong and its an XP, maybe Vista feature only - You can also do this "refresh install" on 7. worked since XP.
Josiah Gomez
Boot from your Windows install disk, if you even have that, and do a repair install. It sounds like you have a serious case of the bit rot going on though.

Depends. You will get more FPS of course, try it, there is nothing you can lose. Just buy a new i3/i5 when the Meltdown-fixed CPUs come out.
Just use the cli version mate, it's really simple.
And the IRS. Tell them that if you don't get the original disc and receipt and all that, you are going to contact the BSA.

microsoft.com/en-us/piracy/reporting/faq.aspx If it's some guy on eBay, consider it lesson learned, and also replace your power supply. If they have a brick & mortar store or some other kind of real assets, I would go back to the seller and start demanding free shit. Because Microsoft is going to take everything you don't sometime soon anyway.

I already did startup repair and it changed nothing really, safe mode gets stuck at Loaded: amdkmpfd.sys and normal boot/all other options get stuck at Starting Windows splash screen

I upgraded to a 1080 last March, and my 1060 has been sitting in the closet in anti-static wrapping for a whole year. To my Surprise it still works.
I've been living under a rock, mostly playing children's video games. I completely missed out on this whole crypto-mining thing going on.
I did a bit of research and I get conflicting information whether to solo mine alt coins vs using something like Nicehash?
My goal is to hold coins long-ish term maybe 5-10 years?
Also if it means anything my My electricity costs are 7.5 cents per kW/hr.
Asher Price
honestly the market isn't as stable as advertised, you'd probably make out better just selling your old card to some other miner chump
Nathaniel Campbell
Go back and complain. It's not like they can pretend they gave it to you. It would still be paired to the mobo if it was legit. A clean install straight from microsoft.com should activate the instant it's connected to the internet, no key required.
Thomas Hernandez
>I completely missed out on this whole crypto-mining thing Good. It's a foul's gold.
It's like lottery, sports betting, FOREX trading, MLM, stock trading. And in the most unsensible way you can imagine. People who fell for it, are the people who fell for FOREX or even sports betting.
"Bruh its free money, it prints money." Except it does not. - Electricity costs money. - Parts break lot faster, they cost money. - High consumption can get you in trouble at your electric company, landlord, police, etc. - The fucking noise and heat. - The coin fluctuates so much it's humanly impossible to guess which to mine or invest into. - The whole market is unstable.
The "worst": It is JUST LIKE stock trading. You have to spend a LOT of time into it. It's no idle money, and even so, the risk is just huge. Indeed people can make money out of it, but it's really only worth getting into if you have a lot of money to burn. And unless you inherited that, you may want to put that into real sensible investments, instead of just playing lottery with it.
tl;dr: It's MLM for e-retards. Except people with the most coins, hash power and power control sit on the top of pyramid.
Anthony Cox

After playing a game in windowed borderless for maybe half an hour/an hour the black shades distorts into blue in varying intensity. This distortion persists if I close the game and until I restart the monitor. The monitor is connected via a display port, and is my main one paired with 2 others running through DVI and HDMI respectively. The other monitors are not affected by this. I have updated to the latest GPU and monitor drivers. I have also googled and tried finding solutions online, but I couldn't find anyone having an issue that appeared after some time ingame, and most of the normal replies are to update drivers and about borked vga cables, which doesn't apply here. Running the game in fullscreen does not cause the colors to distort. Settings in nvidia control panel is what they should be, nothing out of the ordinary. I've also messed with monitor settings but when the distortion happens nothing I do with the monitor except turning it off and on again does anything with the issue. Monitor is a Samsung 144hz 1920x1080, GPU an old GTX770.
What's going on here?

Something strange has been happening with my windows 10 lately. About once every day, my computer completely freezes. Whether I'm playing a game, watching a video or just browsing Sup Forums or something, the screen freezes, sound stops. You cannot alt tab, you can't do anything but the picture remains completely frozen. I even left my computer sit for a few hours to see if anything would happen and it stayed frozen for the entire time.
Not sure what is causing this, but I have no idea how to figure out what is in the first place, where could I start?
Brody Jenkins
Install gentoo.
Seriously, it sounds like a driver issue. I'd do a clean install first of all.
Alexander Cruz

You can definitely develop Android with just eclipse, but you'll still need to install the Android sdk

WHERE DO I DOWNLOAD MP3 MUSIC THESE DAYS?
I got a Philips GoGear Azure for Christmas by my mother, which i was really happy about, and she was happy because she finally figured out what to get me (she gets sad/frustrated during xmas if she doesn't)
I haven't had the heart to tell her that i haven't used it yet, because i have no fucking clue where to download music these days. I used TPB, and before that Limewire. Limewire is dead, and i hear TPB is a "honeypot", whatever that means.
Is TPB actually still viable? Or did another site take it's place?

Also, the most money you can make out of this whole bullshit is selling that 1080. Not sure how high the price will go, but even now you can make a 1000$ easily of it.
> why trouble with police If you grow weed, same thing happens, tons of electricity is consumed. > why electricity company Using more power than usual will put you in a 'higher bracket'. Meaning, it will cost more. They can also just tell you that you have to become a business customer to use this much. Again, even more costly. > why the high risk The ROI (return of investment) is months. Anything, literally anything can happen. The coins you mined can just vanish and new ones come instead. It's unpredictable.
Oh and I forgot the best part. If you don't pay the taxman (so lose ~30-50% of your PROFIT) and ever decide to purchase anything, you will GET FUCKED. Oh boy, they will fuck you so hard. That's a whole IRS check, and you have to pay the missed tax, the penalty, everything.
tl;dr: It's an expensive hobby. Kinda how Linus just throws the "rigs" together for fun and video content.

Well, it IS your display. Send it back in warranty mate.
Well, ClamAV works I guess. There are also a few other free anti viruses for Linux, though most are outdated.
(just a tip: Google "synology upgrade drive" or something.. lol)
It's a famous Win10 driver issue. My i7 950 has the VERY SAME problem. It only happens on Win10. I updated everything, tried drivers, versions, nothing helps. On Windows 7, 8.1 there is zero freeze, it is 100% stable. The RAM, PSU, everything has been double checked. Not sure how old your PC is, but I reckon it's the same buggy driver. I think it's the motherboard's driver or maybe the CPU.
There is a "Gboard Go" now apparently. Its a non-shitty version.
^ What.cd is great, Waffles, and such. Just use a seedbox to buffer a bit and then you are good. (I usually just yank ALL the freeleech torrents, run them for the box's lifetime and boom I am good for life. Long live regular trackers. Jokes aside, no matter what I tried to download and seed, no one downloaded from me. So this was the only approach.)
Julian Rivera
Thinking of building a desktop and since my previous laptops came with windows I don't know about this but should I buy windows? If I just torrent it will I run into any issues compatibility or update-wise? I imagine microsoft has ways of messing with illegally obtained os's
Jaxson Foster
My problem with gboard isn't that it takes up too much RAM, it's that the swiping is absolutely God awful, and the old keyboard used to learn how I swiped
Wyatt Jenkins
IPT also has an incredibly generous seeding program and I've never had problems maintaining ratio there
Matthew Bailey
You don't even have to torrent mate. And it works superb! Only Windows Defender will eat the KMS tool, but you can just say 'Ignore' and it works. Just download it from web: microsoft.com/hu-hu/software-download/windows10
Then you just need a KMS tool, such as "picoKMS". forums.mydigitallife.net/ But its on TPB as well. Even Microsoft recommends using "picoKMS".
Well, Swiftkey maybe? Aside from that, I don't really know any other viable good keyboards.
I am not a member of that. Music wise I only have Waffles/What. For regular torrents there is a country-wide tracker that has tons of peers, it's one of the biggest in Europe.
Cameron Fisher
Are this pixels dead? It's weird because I know they are not stuck since I can see the spots under red, green or blue light. But they are not exactly black either, so i dont know. I tried different fixing methods for dead pixels but none worked. BTW the spot on the right came first, then the one on the left. It's a BenQ 1440p monitor.

Are surveillance/NAS drives a bad idea for a media server? The OS wouldn't be stored on the drive, just videos, some of which will be quite big.

Soulseek my man.
Private trackers are great but they require an interview process to get in, you need to have a good seed ratio and you may not give a fuck about collecting FLAC.
Soulseek is easy to use and just werks. Just aim for mp3s that are v0 or better and you'll be set. If you're anal about sound quality or afraid of recodes than download FLAC.
Caleb Gray
>v0 What does this mean?
I haven't downloaded anything since 2010 i think
Chase Hughes
It's the highest quality variable bit rate. Try to aim for the highest VBR you can find or failing that 320kbps.
Also, when you search there's a column named free which will tell you how long you have to wait in queue. 'Y' Means you can download right away, so obviously try to avoid being in 15000th place to download.

I've made my first dual-boot configuration with Linux and Windows. To be able to access Linux's files on Windows I've decided to use ext2fsd. The thing is, I have to manually flush the cache whenever I modify any file. Otherwise all changes are lost after a reboot. Also, if I don't flush it manually, I think it tries to do it during shutting down, but it seems to fail horribly as it never seems to manage to shut down.
What do I do? I'm too lazy to remember and manually flush the cache whenever I shut windows down.
