APOLOGIZE
Where were you when (((Intel))) JUSTed themselves enough for AMD to get back on track?

This is not a bad thing at all. This is good for both Intel and AMD customers. AMD gaining ground will make Intel feel a sense of urgency and force them to stop reclining in their chairs and instead get back on their feet and compete, which is just what they need.

I guess they should be thankful the cryptoniggers are gobbling up every radeon they can get their hands on.

2nd gen EPYC gonna rekt intel hard.

thank you miners. also intel and brian for being fuckups

This is my mother (and lover). Say something nice about her.

>The days of AMD releasing the Athlon will be back
>The days when Netburst JUSTd Intel, forcing them to turn to the Pentium M and release the Core series
>x86 will have one final hurrah in the age of GPU distributed computing and ARM mobile dominance

I am excited anons.

What will Intlel's reaction be?
Ala AMD64, just license their tech?
Should we expect IntLeL InterCoreā„¢ ProcessorGlueĀ® CPUs?

Amd shills are fucking obnoxious though

They're gonna copy what AMD is doing right, throw tons of money at the problem, and come out ahead of AMD, as they always do.

They've hit a performance wall with their architecture that basically has been the same since Haswell. As a result, they've been pumping up clock speeds on everything.

They probably have something fast in the chute, hopefully. IPC has been stagnating for a good four years now.

It seems that intel never stopped releasing netbursts.
Half a year ago the ME shit surfaced for the whole icore family, then the meltdown flaws found for theur whole OoO ss lineup.
Did they manage to get something right?
Yeah, those atoms.

Based mammy

no.

I'd Mine her Doge, if you know what I mean

>engineer CEO
>makes AMD great again

>Bachelor of chemistry process managing pencil pusher
>JUST

x86 is just a compatibility shell that don't affect performance or use too much space.
Is just a feature to sell computers to people that depends on old software.
ARM probably will follow the same path someday.

B-BUT VEGA DIDNT SOLD
V-VEGA IS A FAILURE

nvidiots on suicide watch

That's just not true at all.
Both companies were neck and neck most of the time and the biggest performance differences always happened when one of the companies shot themselves in the foot (Netburst, Itanium, Phenom, Bulldozer).
I have the feeling you're too young to know any of that, though.

> AMD RETURNS TO FULL-YEAR PROFITABILITY
> previous year: $400mln losses
> this year: $40mln gains
Yeah, solid.

TL;DR
ITS BONER TIME FOR CPU TECH

vega is a failure. people want it for all the wrong reasons.

>let me tell you this one true arbitrary reason I just made up

ubuy.za.com/catalog/product/view/id/2722749/s/hp-z420-workstation-quad-core-xeon-cpu-upto-38ghz-cpu-16gb-ddr3-ra?gclid=CjwKCAiAksvTBRBFEiwADSBZfDRl3GeVhAVSWqHzjzCcG3SHDCX-X2K7E0eMGsyhGaIXyLOA3DNVphoCusQQAvD_BwE
So that net income(loss) shit is just them covering their loan/debts and what not ey?

Vega sold better than any GPU AMD ever made, actually.

That's why their Q4 earnings was so good.

>ywn dring her milgies

Why even live

I've only ever bought intel and I'm looking forward to AMD crushing them. I do have an AMD GPU which is currently worth more than what I paid for it 2 years ago.

sauce please I'm begging you

>throw tons of money at the problem, and come out ahead of AMD,
Just like they did with their graphics division?

Vega sells very well, and is present in every OEM product worth mentioning.
What's wrong with it?

>x86 will have one final hurrah in the age of GPU distributed computing and ARM mobile dominance
Datacenter will still be 98% x86 for the next 10 years.

I hope they can start ramping up radeon development even more to catch up with nivida

>radeon development even more to catch up with nivida
That's mostly software though.

>Datacenter will still be 98% x86 for the next 10 years.
*blocks your path*

Useless piece of shit that had it chance before Naples went public?
ARM servers are literally JUST right now.

*blocks your path*

AMD should mention K12 being alive for once to spook every ARM vendor to near-death.
Useless piece of shit (no coherency and castrated platform in 2015+3, what the fuck).

Enjoy your infrastructure and software support.

Whatever happened to AMD's ARM server chips?

K12 passed the tapeout (on 16FF, even) and was shelved.
They have no market.
Ah yes, and Skybridge was also canned (personally by Dr. Su).

Centriq has cache and IO coherency. Stop spreading lies.

By "coherency" I mean ccNUMA.
Centriq has no socket-socket links.

Shelved

I can't image AMD releasing it unless the ARM market starts taking off. AMD would rather there be an x86 duopoly

>implying Intel is doing bad

>AMD would rather there be an x86 duopoly
Wouldn't be any different in ARM world.
AMD has waaaaaaaay more IP and waaaaaaaay better relationships in datacenter space.
Besides, K12 was ~10% in perf/watt than Zen IIRC.

The hell was that drop in 2000? .com bubble bursting?

What else.

Yeah, that's a feature of most tech companies' all time stock charts.

Every clueless boomer retard bought any stock that sounds even remotely tech-related in 1999. That steep drop in 2000 was them losing all their money.

Keller was said to be lukeworm on K12 prospects and favorured Zen instead. First socket compatibility then all of it was shelved

High-performance ARM cores are niche beyond niche (unless you're a phone SoC vendor, but, alas, AMD is not one), and everyone knows that.
It will be used in at least one semi-custom design that's for sure.

Grandma*

Grandpa*

>Implying a cute tranny grandma like that would be a bad thing.
I bet she would be happy when you told her you also wanted to be a little girl.

stfu nigger

>He doesn't want to be a little girl.
Why are you even on Sup Forums, onii-chan?

what happened to tilera?

Who the fuck cares about Tilera.

any lewd pictures of this hot lady?
