THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN

...

I'm a noob what is? Raid 0 is for disk stripping and there's no redundancy right?

raid zero is for whatever you want it for
there is no redundancy

...

raid0, never again

You should really put those in RAID 5 or something. You'll still have 24tb and you won't lose all your data when a drive fails.

I want to share a info about game i like, but just a few people play:

Red Eclipse

A FREE (not P2W) and open source fast paced arena FPS. Has a parkour system (i heard that it was similar to Titanfall, but i haven't played it). Every weapon has two different shot attacks (you can even use a sword).

The game is like 7 years old and it's currently in 1.6.0 version, but developers are working in version 2.0 with a new engine and better graphics.

It has a small but nice community. But right now, almost a lot of people left and just play every now and then. So i think it's the best time to start playing for new people.

Gameplay:

Fun fact. Microsoft used it to showcase a technology they were working on:

Are there any third party filesystem filter drivers? Someone was working on a btrfs driver for NT not too long ago....

>Seagate
>RAID 0
I can already see tears streaming down your face like a tidal wave of fear and pain

>btrfs driver for NT not too long ago....
Considering the state of btrfs that had to be an absolute abortion. I don't know of any third party options for Windows.

>Someone was working on a btrfs driver for NT not too long ago....
Jesus christ.
Just run linux man.
Save yourself the grief.

Forget raid0 on 4tb drives
Pull out those 3tb Seagate drives and put them in raid. See how long it lasts

eh, not even me.
>t. already use BSD.

what bout just reading zfs on win ?... use nix but still want files readable on a win dual boot , not over the network

4*8TB is just over 29TiB.

ZFS only exists on Linux and Unix.

That said, if you want to run ZFS you can run Windows in a VM. You'll need a spare card so you can do passthrough.

tl; dr: any of those drives dies, you've lost all the data

OMFG. Did this guy not work for microsoft? I don't mean that's a sign of intelligence, but he fucking know about backups.

and why are people doing RAID0? Especially OP, that only has 25% utilized.

RAID0 should only be for non critical data. Might be important data, which maybe should be transferred fast. BUT NON-CRITICAL, so backups, secondary RAID, tons of option.

But why do single persons do a fucking RAID0... Got damn it.

its for my collection of hentai

critical data
