>think of the manchild

_chuckles_

My parole officer told me not to.

Well, hypotheticaly, if bitcoin is dead, we will find so many gfx cards second hand. Year of Sup Forums?

>Fry's will go under in your life time

Nope. The price of crypto lowering only reduces difficulty in mining and makes it more profitable. Bitcoin isn't mined by GPUs, it's mined by specialised ASIC miners.

Fuck yes, I love sales tax!

Just get a cheap low power gpus and call it a day.
I got an rx550 for 80€ and it works just great.
Also fuck childen

1080 for a thousand dollars.

All cards are sold out man, had one gamer come in and lament with me about not buying his cards earlier.

Oh yeah boy. I wish that happens. Then I'll finally get a 1080.

Buying a used graphics card in this shitcoin market is like buying a used condom

I bought a GTX 970 for $260 and it has a 2 year warranty.
>used EVGA 970 ACX 2 currently $440 on Amazon used
HAHAHAHAHAH

HOW DO AMERICuCKS COPE

Wat? They are so dumb lol

Dubs dont lie. This is our year.

>used card of the same model costs more than a new one
always a top lel

>ordered vega 64 on launch day at msrp
feelsgoodman

>buy 1060 6gb OC for $300 two months ago
>1060 3gb is now $450
Absolute shite

>new one

>4GB
Teehee

>4GB
Sad!

I love miners because they're getting involved in cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies are definitely here to stay anyway, the only issue is miners probably sell their cards way sooner than gamers so AMD and nVidia don't want to make more cards because of fear.
I think cards should stop being advertised as "gaming" cards when they are basically just modular processors but with a different design better suited for other stuff like mining, AI, anything doing heavy maths/encryption and graphics.

Nobody is buying them for these prices. The bots that buy those things only buy at around MSRP

I got my 1060 6gb Mini for $239 and felt like it was too much about a year ago. Now, the same fucking thing goes for twice as much.

Thinking of selling it and then getting a Vega FE for the VRAM+undervolt at normal-ish price, or getting a Titan XP.

You lucky bastard, if only we could have predicted this...

...

Will raven ridge be suitable for mining?

Return of the daughter board?

...

DELET THIS RIGHT NOW BONG

How is this not posted yet?

better than it going under while you're still stuck working there. kill me now.

new GPUs when

Because it's stupid and le edgy humor xD

I got you all beat, I got a 1060 6GB for $175.

Someone keeps hacking Ebay accounts

ebay.co.uk/itm/ASUS-ROG-Strix-GeForce-GTX-1080-Ti-OC-Graphics-Chip-11GB-GDDR5X-Genuine-New/132492735668?epid=2254445089&hash=item1ed92eb4b4:g:WjkAAOSwtKVadX48

>gpu i bought 6 months ago is now worth twice as much

what a fucking shitshow

Maybe u fags will stop playing vidya gaymes and do something productive for once. Grown men should not play vidya

175 is nothing, spent 310€ for a 1070 ACX3.0

I know it's bait but fuck you.

>The price of crypto lowering only reduces difficulty in mining
Are you retarded?

>Nope. The price of crypto lowering only reduces difficulty in mining and makes it more profitable.
you must be retarded

I'm laughing so hard at the morons who took out second and third mortgages to clean out Microcenter's GPU section over the last few months. There's going to be a glut of used cards on the market here soon ad they try in vain to not go bankrupt.

Notice the stack of boxes in the top left.
Same as the picture above.

...

Yeah the fatal flaw in crypto is that the difficulty isn't tied to the market value. It's pegged to the number of idiots mining for it. It's created this perfect storm where processor cycles now are worth a tiny fraction of what they were just a few months ago and so is the value of the currency itself.

Little timmy will be happy with the latest playstation box 360 or whatever

Do you know how crypto or any economy works?

t. cryptocuck

I thought GPU mining had been surpassed by ASICs like a year or two ago and was no longer viable. I'm a bit surprised GPUs are still in short supply because of miners. Is anyone even making a profit GPU mining? I refuse to believe most of these people are getting free electricity.

Fortunately I'm not in the market for a GPU right now but I'm just curious why this is happening.

People use GPUs for altcoins. I read that they can bring in ~$200 a month mining per unit after electricity cost. It won't take long to turn a profit.

hahahaha

these bitcoin virgin delusions

It's the last chance to make a dime for all these small online shops and brick stores before amazon kills them.

fpbp

I have an 8GB RX480 that I got for $199

At this point is it even worth selling it for the $200-300 profit made? How long would I be stuck with some shitty old graphics card?

man, should I just cash out of bitcoin now? I have 5k worth after the drop and I feel like I should just go and buy a fuckton of weed on budmail instead of holding onto it.

I remember when I got my 1070, Sup Forums told me to 'wait'.

Remember when I got my 1080 for $800 I felt I was wasting my money.

I got the 1070 for 500€ tax included here in Europe like one year ago. Thanks God

Because there's fewer competitors.

Cash into monero when appropriate.
Privacy coins are going to be important.

Fpbp

But bitcoin is not mined with gpu

/thread

I am!

>There's going to be a glut of used cards on the market here soon ad they try in vain to not go bankrupt.
Yeah im really going to buy a card that has been run at 100% for months on end. Get fucked miners.

> crypto.is here to stay

Yes, buying degenerate narcotics is always smarter than investing in the financial revolution.

It's time. It's now merely an insulting reminder of what it used to be.

Be a good Goy and pay unto Shlomo that which is Shlomo's!

lol, okay gramps. Isn't it just about time for bingo?

Pothead faggot.

So the cool kids took my comic books, anime, videogames, memes and now they're taking my graphics cards?

Watching gamers getting buttnlasted is hilarious

>I'm afraid of weed and it makes me buttmad that others don't have my problems

>crypto price has effect on the difficulty
No way you aren't retarded.

What am I looking at here?

thenextweb.com/hardfork/2018/02/02/unicef-syria-cryptocurrency-mine/

How long until some game autist loses it and takes a billy club to the Fry's and cracks some other autists for mining autistcoins?
This is getting dumb.

A GTX 760 and games that arent DX12 memes.

>crypto falls
>people exit
>gpu prices dont fall somehow
Where did the gpus go?

>Bitcoin goes from 1k to 10k
>dead

I bet you're one of those retards that finds the highest peak and lowest trough in a global heat chart and deduce the earth's surface is cooling

Generally you trade other cryptos for bitcoin, so bitcoin's value is very important.

Also, the mining difficulty is automatically set for bitcoin so no matter how much computing power is put into the system, only 20 coins will be generated per day.

So there was a bit of a crash. When will there be panic sell gpus?

>buying a 970

>and deduce the earth's surface is cooling

It's not heating either because you don't do measurements of the surface in the first place you brainlet.

so much misinformation in one post

Made me laugh, have a (you)

I bought an rx 480 when they were new and sold it for $500. Got a 1070Ti now.

>monero
KEK, gtfo. Monero's privacy is useless in terms of real world use, BCH is far superior and that's why dark net market vendors accept BCH, not XMR.

why would you sell at what could be the bottom?

I have a water cooled 1080 Ti and an aircooled 3GB 1060. They're mining in a PC that used to be a higher-end workstation, some time ago. Do you think 1100 is a good price for a very lightly used 1080Ti? I also wanna get rid of the workstation too, maybe parting it out is the best way...

I've been waiting for this since October. I think we're gonna need to see sub 4k BTC, with market dominance high (so no flippening occuring, just a hardcore bear market crash).

It is rising again, dumbweed.

Bitcoin took years to go from $950 to $250.

Past performance is not an indicator of future performance. Public awareness is at much higher levels now.

If the guy wants to sell, I'd at least target 11k+ range. It can still easily fluctuate back up there, even if the trend is downward.

Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it

I have a gtx980 and y'all niggas told be to wait when the 1080 dropped. Same fucking thing when I was buying ram. And my CPU for that matter.

I'm starting to think you guys actually never buy any new hardware yourself, and no one else should too.

Why arent they just using asics instead of our GPU's

clearly you know nothing about crypto then
