When I'll get some toaster with 2gb ram and C2D processor, or when I'll play around with embedded linux, I'll look for an alternative, but as of now, I stopped caring.

If you uncheck "install recommended packages" in YaST using the NetInstall iso, the damn thing will install even less packages than Debian without dependencies.

My main issue with it is it screwed up my uefi booting by setting some flag to legacy uefi and I could no longer boot normal uefi OSes. My minor issue is I personally don't like Yast2, if they were to give that a major overhaul and make it less archaic it might be good.
