>Unfair Versailles treaty because frog butthurt > rise of hitler >
No, Versailles treaty was too lenient, which allowed the remilitarisation of Germany. Foch predicted the treaty would be only an armistice for 20 years. The only mistake made there was listening to the other allies.

True, Germany deserved a Trianon/St Germain tier treaty.

90% of Hitler rhetoric was about Versailles shithead
Anyone who posts Ben Garrison should be gased
Germany wouldn't have had the to power to do anything if the Allies listened to Foch
Another Hitler would have arise and Weimar Republic was virtually unable to do shit when they respected the treaty
Hitler violated Versailles time after time, lied to politicians everywhere with virtually no consequences, neither Chamberlain or Daladier wanted to get into fights (as evidenced by their """neutrality"""" in the Spanish war). An harsher treaty would have served no purpose since Hitler would have violated anyway and the Allies would have let him.
Worse, even with normal Versailles Hitler hated France so much he wanted to see Paris burn at the end of the war - with an harsher treaty Paris would have burned as soon as he captured it, Soviet style.
"Versailles wasn't hard enough" is straight bad history, Trianon was also a mistake

>90% of Hitler rhetoric was about Versailles shithead
How is it making him wrong ?
Hitler and the Germans would have found another thing to sperg and be angry about if the Versailles treaty didn't happen.
Their own country
Yep, but the "generals/elites backstabbed us" was crucial to the development of fascism.
So we basically should have done nothing to Germany after they laid waste most of Europe because they don't respect anything ?
>crucial
I don't think so, Versailles was a pretext.
They would have find something else if the jew thing rhetoric wasn't enough.
Not have done nothing, just enforce and protect Weimar Republic
Every country was more or less guilty in this war, from Serbs to Russians to Austrians and Germans
Yes but Germany had more responsibilities than other for the devastation of eastern France.

Revolution.
Versailles wasn't really harsh at all. Most ill effects were due to Germany crippling itself economically following WW1 (after expecting to win), and due to the Great Depression. Almost directly after the war people were blaming others for the stab-in-the-back myth and would use that to fuel their nationalistic interests. If Foch had his way, Germany would have had it's industry in the west annexed and would have never posed a threat to France ever again, even if they wanted to invade it would have been impossible.
If Versailles had been more lenient on the Germans, then they would have started the Second World War anyway and still go on to murder and rape millions because they would have still been affected by the Depression and wartime and a dictator would have risen to power nonetheless, and rearmament would be started even sooner.
Also people crying about the treaty of versailles must keep in mind Prussia humiliated us the same if not more in 1870 when they proclamated themselves Idon'tknowwhat in the palace of Versailles.
1789, 1830, 1848, three Revolutions for 3 Monarchies
Constitutional monarchy has been tried and doesn't work
>Annex West Germany
France would have lost it the same way Poland, Czechy or other regions gave their German minorities to the Reich. Nobody but the Germans wanted to fight, and they only wanted to fight because of the lost territories.
If they were powerless, then they would have no means of doing so

I dont care what happens to the rest of the world, but leave Bohemian historical borders alone.
Austrians already fucked up with giving rightful Bohemian Silesia to Prussia.
No revolution, I went the No National Unity road.
Yes.
alright, czech and austria should have been unchanged, still don't know why we'd give clay to switzerland. were they secretly funding us?
Austria had to be contained and there is nobody less imposing than Switzerland I guess.
more like France hadn't modernized their army before the WW2 while the nazis were using De Gaulle's war strategies... goddamn France
