Is it me who just got lucky, or are you who's just incompetent? Legit question.
Never updated Windows, don't use any antivirus

So how does it feel. That your box is propably spreading all kinds of crap atm? wcry is possible because of people like you
Yep, it happens when you download and execute stuff from dubious sources.
Hopefully you don't need an adult telling you that fire burns, right?
Yeah sure you are secure from worms that spread on their own. Retard.
I also never got any malware. I guess it helps having a brain.
enjoy being an eternal retard
>never got any malware, virus, ...
Im curious on how you came to this conclusion ...
There aren't any funny looking pop ups telling me to gib money in exchange for a decryption key for my files.
There aren't any suspicious looking processes running. My files aren't visibly altered, nor there are strange spawns.
Network utilization is within expected ranges.
I guess it pays back to not download porn and lurking stuff from tor and funny looking sites.
Get your children vaccinated, goy. It won't turn them into a Sup Forums-browsing autist. Measles is making a comeback thanks to parents like you.
OP post HijackThis results with timestamp plz
I've never used antivirus ever in like 20 years and haven't gotten shit
It's because I don't use my computer to download random exe files. I use my desktop like I use my phone - which means I install like 5 programs, and use only those programs. There isn't even any real activity where something runs on my system to get malware because I don't use it for anything.
You fucking mutt, so sure of yourself yet so dumb. Do you seriously have no clue what malware is? Here's a hint, fuckwit, malware doesn't just spread through 1kb latestgame.exe, it spreads though vulnerabilities in your systems, as well as being injected into otherwise legitimate looking software. And it doesn't pop up saying gib money (unless it's randomware), it silently runs in the background, harvesting credentials, crypto mining, joining a botnet and spreading itself, among other things. You will have no clue any of this is happening, you are way dumber than any of the people who write malware.
what
This is bait, as OP is enough computer literate to disable all this bloat of his OS, unlike some of you disabled fucks that still believe viruses and malware exists and it's not something you have pressed or seen.
Delusionals
Don't even bother. Those passionate oldies probably learned how to use AOL from an Internet for dummies book back in the day to have such strong feelings over inexistent shit
>>never got any malware, virus, ...
You assume those have symptoms, but please continue running without AV.
They are dumbfucks. I've found more malware on kids PCs than on adult porn machines, likely because porn sites don't make money by breaking their own or others OS. Miggers think they can see or notice all malware because they think it's designed to slow their system down.
We need a brickerbot with a time delay that accesses the ME and renders the PC unbootable after spreading.
Anti-vaccine Sup Forumslack ladies and gentlemen.
Good goy, let your children die and replace them with shitskins.
If only malware was made to slow computers down only, that would be a perfect world.
:^)
still too easy to notice though if you know your system by heart and are somewhat autistic
>never get malware
you know they aren't obvious popups nowadays, right?
so many shills itt trying to get people install buggy botnet updates
It was a very straightforward request.
Run HijackThis, and post results, so we can see how much malware you ACTUALLY have.
Shit That Never Happened: The Post
>having Windows Update enabled at all
Linux Live CD master race. :)
lol this is the average brainlet Sup Forums user
inb4 this is actually malware
bump for OP cos fags didn't reply
But I bet you use a web browser that auto updates, right? That's where you would most likely be attacked.
Most if not all of the things listed by HijackThis are not actually bad, it's just "suspicious" objects that often have fucked up permissions and whatnot, making it seem like they're hijacked files etc.
If you truly want to see if you're infected, then sniff your own network data and see what's coming out and going in while you're doing nothing or very little.
First thing I would do as a malware creator was look for wireshark running and wait until it stops
When I said "I don't download every possibile executable there is available on the internet" what you didn't quite get?
No wonder you need virtual mommy to take care of you, otherwise you'd download totally_not_virus.exe
Also I very seriously doubt a standalone program contained in a couple of KBs has any accuracy at all.
Nobody asked you to "download every possibile executable there is available on the internet"
Unless you browse the web with curl you have no guarantee of being clean
Same here OP.
Haven't used AV or updates since XP. Always used Win7SP1, updates disabled, to play games or use certain programs.
I do most of my browsing in Lunix though.
t. only downloads soyboy tier software
Have fun being pwned by skids
github.com
Same here, I will never understand why people bloat their system with antivirus and system updates.
>just download this random eastern Europeans Software
Fuck off retard. You wonder why you have viruses?
Anti-viruses are the software equivalent of pic related.
You're saying that you would download&execute every single thing that's just shiny and mommy must protect you.
What exactly would you lose by installing only the security updates and then running some github script to delete the buggy ones?
Browser updates and add-ons have almost entirely replaced the need for any protection software at all. All I use is Windows Defender and (on occasion) a third-party firewall program, with no viruses on my PC ever besides a single time in 2009 on Windows Vista.
of course, Sup Forums is mostly autistic, literally
uBlock is the best AV
Unironically this. Much malware is spread my """"""""ads""""""""
by*
Detail me non-soyboy software.
If you tell me that you need tor daily either you're on some watchlist or you shouldn't be on this site. C'mon now I'm curious.
Tbh running win7 like this for 3-4 years already
Never updated anything
Always disable the services i don't use
>Comfy 700-800MB Ram usage, no suspicious processes running, network ports dead silent
Feelsgoodman.3gp
>what are remote execution vulnerabilities
Dunno why so many of you thinks that malwares have the magical power of picking computers.
Unless you buy NSA Certified Routers™ good luck going pass that.
you probably got plenty of viruses. you just didn't know it because you didn't have AV alerting you to it. I ran windows like that for a few months and installed an AV. ran a scan and it found like 2 malicious dll's.
I have 10 programs in total installed, none of which is cracked. 3 of them (Chromium, Firefox, VS) can actually connect to the internet. I do have removed internet explorer.
As I said Malware aren't going to "jump at you". Unless you voluntarily let them in, they won't magically slip into the LAN. If however you're a little special and you cannot trust yourself then go for it.
Then open ports to the internet and post your public IP if you are not scared. You have only 10 programs installed, so there is nothing you should be scared of, right?
Not an argument.
So just baiting, got it. Too bad there are retards even in IT that actually believe this shit.
>NSA IS GOING TO SPY ON ME IF I INSTALL UPDATES!!!!1!
All while being part of a real botnet.
Windows 7 is really good to me with both features and stability. Which is fortunate, because I'm tied to it with both work software and video games.
It's a shame that desktop is kind of shitty now that I know better. I would really prefer something more modern like Gome 3. Yes, I said that.
> used it intensively for almost 5 years almost 24x7 to play solitaire and minesweeper, never installed any new software
that's the only way
>using an antivirus
Hello MOM
>what are remote execution vulnerabilities
Things that never happen on updated browsers anymore
so you are telling me that the most recent and updated software is safe from NSA/CIA hardware backdoors?, thanks pham
>""""""""new software""""""""
You're the same tier of I wanna know what kind of software you need to use on daily basis that requires constant AV intervention
Being my PC just a shitty laptop I cannot run high-end software, and even the ones I run on my big rig (which still no update nor antivirus) doesn't require me to download cracks from Ivan
No, but neither is not-updated software, if we aren't talking about Windows 95. The difference between the two is that with updated one, your neighbors son can't fuck your system up by running some script he found on the internet, which was fixed 8 years ago.
Why would you have SMB enabled?
92.249.241.35
And why would I open my ports? I don't want you to have access to my home server.
I'd like to think he was just b8 to assume that IP are private.
So you realize it's important to update browsers for security but somehow don't think the same for OS updates?
no but they're safe from 10 year old milw0rm sploits that skiddies can use to pwn you
You'd best start believing in botnets, son
why bother with bloating my system when i can update my browser that takes far less space and not be a retarded .exe clicker?
Because not all viruses require you to click the .exe you retard.
Do you know how many routers are part of a botnet? Look up the 'mirai botnet' on google. Once they have control of your router they're already in your network and take a guess at how many local network vulnerabilities there are in unpatched windows.
And no, updating your router or having a strong password would not have helped because mirai was using a 0-day exploit.
>mirai
>routers
We're reaching tin hat levels here.
>Huawei
Here's your problem. Don't buy cheap chink stuff.
>huawei
Is my router considered botnet?
wired.com
It's a different botnet, but:
>The Reaper malware has pulled together a grab-bag of IoT hacking techniques that include nine attacks affecting routers from D-Link, Netgear, and Linksys
So buying cheap american stuff wont help either.
>updating system will somehow prevent me from getting raped by a router zero day
Your router is fucked, but that doesn't mean you have to let it infect your OS too.
>i have no idea how compoopers work
>>i have no idea how compoopers work
>Wired
Beside that, why the article doesn't makes names, so I know what to look after? Every single router on the planet has such vulnerabilities?
I call bullshit on bullshit pop-tech site.
>>>i have no idea how compoopers work
A more technical article:
krebsonsecurity.com
Are you literally retarded? If your router has been infected it has access to your local network. Guess how WananCry spread? Using the SMB protocol over the local network.
Can routers execute arbitrary code or send files to your computer that contains arbitrary code?
It's like the engineers who build this stuff don't even try.
>>never updated Windows, don't use any antivirus
That's a key to non-glitchy Windows.
Usually, all bugs are fixed in SP1, and after it they only add bugs
well why isn't a there a secure router that only does it's job sending/receiving packets and nothing more?
>Can routers execute arbitrary code
Aren't most router firmwares based on linux? I don't think I need to tell you whether linux can run arbitrary code or not, do I?
>send files to your computer that contains arbitrary code?
...like a file server? A feature that many routers have?
Indeed, we're over tin hat territory here.
Right I just installed W7 Ultimate, how do I install meltdown/spectre updates?
Best fix is to throw away the cpu, get AMD™
