Hey Sup Forums. I have to go on a road trip tomorrow and need some albums to keep me company. I like electronic/techno type stuff. Pic related is one of my favorite albums (Andy Stott - We Stay Together), I like Andy's style in general too. Also open to ambient, I've only listened to Hecker and a bit of Basinski so far but I liked it, so anything similar in that style is cool too. Basically just give me recs with your favorite stuff that you think would sound good on a car ride.

I've enjoyed listening to James Blake on a road trip. Nice spacious, lonely sounds. Earth- The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull is also great hypnotic music.
The Caretaker - An empty bliss beyond this world

Man, sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who really, really likes this album. It's groundbreaking stuff to me, like tectonic plates colliding and somehow making techno rhythms. I absolutely love the title track and how the sample just gets mercilessly looped over and over again. Definitely a masterpiece in hauntological music.

Fishmans - Long Season
(not memeing)
it's a great album for driving
Thanks user, gonna check it out. Haven't listened to Blake before even though he's pretty known around here, this will be a good opportunity to give his stuff a go.
Somehow I've had this bookmarked but haven't listened to it yet, thanks! About to start downloading
Looks good, downloading! Thank you!
Dude, I know. I love Andy's sound on We Stay Together/Passed Me By. (We Stay Together Part 2 is especially good, in case your copy of the album might not have it cause it's an extra track). I'm kinda sad those releases were overshadowed by other artists like Actress back then, cause I think what Andy had there is special but now he's only gonna get recognition of the style on Luxury Problems and Faith in Strangers
Pretty much anything on the modern love label Andy stott is on is great.
Rainer Veil , Miles , Demdike stare etc..
you should upload the (2?) bonus tracks kind user n_n
Yeah give me a minute I'll get We Stay Together Part2 up for you (part1 is just on the album), or I can .zip whole album for you if you want?
Will check out, thanks! Already know of Demdike but I'm only really into their first, Symbiosis. Any Miles solo stuff to be aware of?
I know of the part 2 track. I like how it adds a lighter touch to the song but I still prefer the original. Also you're wrong about his EP's being overshadowed. Especially Passed Me By got a lot of attention when it was released and We Stay Together is still his most acclaimed if you go by sites like RYM.
do you happen to have the 4 bonus tracks from the passed me by/we stay together compilation release? i've been looking for ages trynna get them
>stitch house
>love nothing
>work gate
>we stay together (pt. 2)
if not i'm totally cool with just the one track n_n

Ahh, ok, that makes sense. Could've been wrong about it, was just thinking I haven't seen that much attention for him on here but I'm happy he got appreciation in other places. How did you like Faith and that Millie & Andrea release?

Woah good stuff, checking it out! Can't believe you got Porter Ricks on there too haha, they're great! Biokinesis was really good
yes!
that miles track is one of my all-time favorites as well, you should check out all his stuff if you haven't already. he's terribly underrated.
I know this is an overrated album from an overhyped music scene, but Massive Attack - Mezzanine is one of the best driving at night albums ever made. Especially in the rain.
Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole is a good time.
you guys should listen to his Stairway to The Stars album. No one ever talks about him besides an empty bliss.
