The best wireless headphones for 300 bucks or less?

Sony WH1000XM2

How do they compare to the Sony MDR-100ABN? Which pair is better?

1000X is better, hands down. I tried the h.ear in a shop and it just doesn't compare.

>Budget
no more than 20$

>Location
europe

>Source
huawei honor 6, the dac is quite decent

>Type of headphone
clip-on

>Open or closed
not sure, probably open

>Comfort level
doesn't matter

>Sound signature
warm perhaps

looking for some cheap and loud clip-ons, like the koss ksc75, i had them a couple of years ago and loved them, not sure what happened to them since then
now i'd like to create a simple bed-audio system and it occured to me that some clip-on headphones may just do the trick if i tape them beneath my bed and make the cable stick out, so i can plug my phone in and listen to some music comfortably before sleep
my mattress is like 15 cm tall, then comes the pillow which is like 5-10 cm thick, so my ears would be some 30 cm away from the headphones attached to the bed, therefore i need the headphones quite loud
do i just go and buy the ksc75's or is there something out there which would suit me more?
or maybe it's a retarded idea and i should rather buy some cheap portable speaker of sorts?

Thanks for the recommendation, gonna buy then tomorrow. I keep getting recommended the 1000XM2, so there must be something to it.

Wait, I just realized there is a pair called 1000X and 1000XM2, so you meant something else.
What's the difference?

>feet
>kneepits
>panties
>hips
>2x
10/10 user

do i go cheap route that i can be used everywhere or more expensive route only at home?
Cheap for portable purposes: ATH-m40x (or something else that doesn't look too bulky and can sleep with)
More expensive: HD600 + DAC/AMP?? (the sources are laptop and phone, not sure if i need this type of gear)
I like neutral headphones, i dont want to use EQ

youtube.com/watch?v=DEXfRMTRJss

KSC-75 are the best clip-ons. Just get another pair of those.

Original 1000X was made of shit plastic and cracked at the joints. New 1000XM2 doesn't have that problem. No differences in sound. Avoid the original.

>I like neutral headphones, i dont want to use EQ
HD600 are your weapon of choice then.

Anyone have experience with Spinfit tips? Should I get the dual flange cp240 or the single flange cp100?

tl;dr upfront: what are the cheapest headphones with the biggest drivers?

/hpg/ I've got a rather unusual question, I've been reading the binaural beats actually work by low power magnetic fields from the drivers, as they apparently don't work when played over acoustic tubes. So i'm looking for the best headphones to maximise this effect. I'm assuming the biggest drivers would be the best way to do this? So what are the cheapest headphones that have large drivers? (sound quality doesn't really matter)

I WANT TO CUM INSIDE A SUBMARINE!

>I've been reading the binaural beats actually work by low power magnetic fields from the drivers
sounds like stax which work by using low power high voltage electrostatic charges and large diaphrams

...

>only 1 foot each

I'll have to subtract 2 from this final score.

you have brought to light new evidence that has changed my initial critique. you are absolutely correct user. if the rest wasn't exceptional then this would be unacceptable behavior

Hi Tyll from InnerFidelity here

Just here to remind you that the HiFiMAN HE400S is the best headphone in its price range.

why do sennshits think they can meme? it's self evident that they cannot when they get buttblasted daily and keep coming back for more of that big black stax

>You will not post any of the following outside of Sup Forums: ...uncalled for catchphrases...

How the FUCK does her phone stay put? That defies the laws of physics.

The image was drawn at the moment of the phone falling out.

Electrostatic != electromagnetic.
Electrostats don't actually generate a magnetic field.

are you insinuating that one more second and this image would not have been a viable /hpg/ OP? what a ghastly thought

this is autistic

Open headphones are a meme.
Speakers are better.

off topic

why OP, why do you always insist on tempting me with cartoon booty babes

buy STAX not the hd600

I want to lick their feet so bad

Is he still using the shittiest mic he could find to record his videos?

Jack, you need to stop posting here.

>Jack
clue me in to this gossip

Stax has a horribly messy bass decay that makes them sound like absolute shit. This is often described as being an "etheral" sound but that's just audiophool for shit. I feel bad for anyone that falls for this latest stax shilling campaign.
It's almost as bad as the X2 shilling campaign but not quite.

what do you propose we buy instead?

the headphones he doesn't own, obviously

There are literally 10s of good headphones below the price of the l300le.

>L300LE is too expensive for me
>my recommendations list only include headphones that I can afford
nice try

Magnetcucks were literally getting BTFO 40 years ago and still are now.

it's only a matter of time until the crushing weight of reality comes crashing down

what are the consensus best pair of earbuds I can buy? and i dont care for wireless faggotry, I just want something that will last

>posts graph that proves messy decay true

...

post a non messy graph

I can't wait for March to come so I can listen to anime on my new headphones :3 Do you think we'll be able to hear the seiyuus shuffle their feet while they say their lines?

what a dumdum

are you waiting on a drop?

>being this out of the loop

Are you waiting on your financial aid disbursement like I am? I'm going to buy a new dac/amp, IEMs, $700 in keyboards, and a 34" 3440x1440 100hz monitor.

>3440x1440 100hz
are you gonna play VNs on that monitor?

No, I'm just waiting for the thing to be released.
I think knows what's up.

I'm going to play foobar visualizers and raid in my US 2nd WoW guild. My WoW progression makes me objectively superior to the majority of the populace.

>WoW in 2018
>superior
only in autism

>being on finaid and buying tons of crap
Is this a good idea

Which IEM would be the best for replacing DT770, On summer with the velour pads they get sweaty and uncomfortable since my room gets too hot, budget $200. Basically want something that will last and it wont hurt my ears when using it during long sessions.

>wireless
why wont you just fuck off and die?

Where's that user with the pinnacle px1? How are they?

Absolutely not.
Do I care?
Absolutely not.

tfw when even someone on welfare can afford better than an hd600 and schiit stack

Anything is better than a hd600 and a stack of shit if the goal is the enjoyment of music and not memeing on the internet over 'neutrality' (lol what is HRTF) of headphones that anyone not in the church of audiophile pebbles and cardas cables would find utterly dead sounding.

Anybody here got or listened to the Audeze LCD-2 Classic?

I've always loved the aesthetics of the audeze headphones, and the sound sig sounds like the sort of thing that I'd like, as well as enjoying planar bass (I've only ever had dynamics). What's kept me away is price and comfort, but I'm hearing a LOT of positive stuff about the new suspension headband, and the more accessible price of the classic is something I'd be willing to spend for an end-game headphone.

audeze are nice, a good amount of us here have owned one. you can't really go wrong by buying one, but skip that step and go buy the stax L300LE.

10 fucking bits of resolution

superbestaudiofriends.org/index.php?threads/audeze-lcd2c-measurements-and-impressions.5556/page-10#post-186107

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I need new pads/muffs for my m50x's
what get

Why is that? And what is the LE version? I can't find anything about that that isn't from Sup Forums.

Yeah I've read this thread. I guess I'm basically waiting for tyll's review and I'll probably go and demo them at my local store.

L700 drivers ($1400) in the L300 with L500 pads

staxaudio.com/earspeaker/sr-l300limited

Yikes

Hmm, OK, it's an option. Never listened to an electrostatic before, from what I hear they're detail and treble kings, yeah? I am very appreciate of high quality, dynamic, tight, quick bass which I understand planars are good at.

I'd also need to get a speshal snoeflake amp for them, where-as with an Audeze I can just use my 15.32

>I am very appreciate of high quality, dynamic, tight, quick bass
no, see pic related is the lcd-2c. audeze can't even out perform a 40 year old stax

>Vegan pads
What about the stock ones?

2C sounds like that? Holy shit the fazor really did do wonders. I guess it was just audiophool retardation to prefer the LCD 2.2 to the 2f 2016.

maybe. I think the one I posted is a little cherry picked. it's hard to tell with audeze's driver variance. here's a stock one from marvey... but they probably sent him a good sample since he's well known.

amazon.com/dp/B0714G9YJ2/

I use these on my M50 and it makes a world of difference in comfort but if you don't want to alter the sound too much then get pads of similar thickness and material. The pads I listed are just as good as the HM5 pads for a fraction of the cost

Maybe look at ear pads meant for the M50X or MSR7 if you want to retain more of the original sound.

Either way, the 2C seems to perform much worse than the fazor editions. Only retards would buy a 2C over the 2f (especially when they go on sale for $650 so often).

That graph was with vegan pads, which not only don't come with the 2C but audeze don't make anymore due to their fucking with the sound. Although, as rightly points out, driver variance could indeed be a partial culprit.

> schiit.com/news/news/why-we-wont-be-supporting-mqa
While they are right to not support this kind of bullcrap, one tidbit in that page sums up my thoughts about the measurements of the bifrost and their other gear and how shit they are yet still get memed to the high heavens on the internet :

> we have one of the youngest customer bases in the industry.

Schiit knows who they're exploiting and how easy they are to exploit.

I don't know why but this pic makes my dick super hard.

>Only retards would buy a 2C over the 2f
no that's more a preference thing. people buy the lcd-2 for the dark smooth sound. the 2F is shifted more neutral. the 2016 2F really should be named something else, it's basically a different headphone at this point and it's misleading
>Schiit knows who they're exploiting and how easy they are to exploit.
yup. I don't know how many times we (the audio community) have to yell that schiit doesn't care about their customers until people start figuring out they don't care about their customers. it was obvious from the get-go with their shitty customer support. big fucking red flags waving and no one seems to care

> Either wrong DACs are used or driven incorrectly in the implementation. There are DACs literally at 10% of the cost that do much better.
>Yes I know the subjectivists go by what these devices "sound like." But I want one of them with a straight face tell me how their music is better where a spray of distortion and noise is added to any single tone in their music. How can any of this be euphonic???
>I have no choice but to give the Schiit BiFrost Multibit a failing grade. NOT Recommended.
How will Schiit Schills refute this?

it's because you're seeing almost the entire length of the leg including the hips

>How will Schiit Schills refute this?
By doing this.
> subjective
> judge with the ear

even 14 bits is garbage. 19 is reference because that comes close to the maximum possible you could ever get. you start getting issues with thermodynamics preventing you from getting more bits at that point so 19 is the reference. 10 is abhorrent and I hope people realize this

i'm super broke right now. Is pic related decent for their price?

>$5.99 usd
>39.79 cad
Not a good day to be a leaf

>very quicky deleted temp account with very similar content as to what was posted here
>debacle in previous threads revealed canucklehead83 to be a redditor who also frequents here
>canucklehead83 deleted his account after getting found out last thread

Hypothesis: canucklehead is the autistic anti-schiit shitposter that spams the copypasta every thread, or at least is one of the anti-schiit shitposters.

Do not ever buy closed sennheisers.
All the higher end ones I've heard had terrible sound quality for the price and some have broken treble (momentums), can't imagine they make anything acceptable in their cheaper offerings.

Get the Koss PortaPro or KSC-75.

Well, Schiit being shit isn't exactly wrong

It's also not wrong to like BBC cuckold porn.

>canucklehead is the autistic anti-schiit shitposter that spams the copypasta every thread, or at least is one of the anti-schiit shitposters.
and he gets even more vindicated after each passing day. what's the issue here?

Wrong? No. Detestable? Surely.

fuck why the hell does this chink shit makes me so hard

Selling my Schiit shit and buying Audio-GD instead. This is unacceptable.

>autistic anti-schiit shitposter that spams the copypasta every thread
He doesn't spam nearly as much as the hd600 shit posters.

>look at hillary, she's not nearly as evil as stalin!

>HD600
Best headphones in the world.
