3 years of mandatory service, in which officers and higher ups treat the soldiers like trash. I've personally expiricned many digusting situations where higher ups throw trash on the floor and make people clean it and stuff like that. Dare to say anything other than "Yes commander" and they will humiliate you and lock you up

Sorry, it's one year and 3 mounths, 12 weeks of training and the rest working inside, if you are lucky they send you to gun deposity or radio commander, but most of the soldiers fuck thenselves during the role service

6am wake up every day, we had to go for morning jogging 3 minutes after waking up. very busy schedule most of the time and when camping in woods, we had pretty much fire under our arse 24/7.
officers won't spit on your face or force you to do push ups (anymore). we are not allowed to complain about anything and if someone with higher rank orders you to do something, then you have to do it without complaining.
every day we had to clean the barracks from floor to ceiling pretty much.

You are not treated like a dog but you can be pushed to your limit. It used to be worse but now it's more comradery thing more than just pissing on you if you fuck up.
Everyone I know of has at least some fond memories of their service no matter how harsh it was. It's kind of a thing that bonds most finnish men.
Those two week, two hours a night sleep combat camps are a joy now, no matter how much they sucked then
