youre all that is wrong with mu
I'm inclined to agree
All time favorite
not all time but one of my top favorites
I'm suprised ween isn't discussed more on this board the mollusk is supreme
Something about TOCCC makes it really stand out among most of the Moodies' other works, for me. It's probably their most focused work since Days of Future Passed, and probably one of their darkest ever, second only to Seventh Soujourn. There's a real sense of despair, isolation, and helplessness on tracks like Out and In, Gypsy, Eternity Road, and Candle of Life -- all of which are in their respective order on the album, as well as tracks like Eyes of a Child, or Watching and Waiting. Other tracks, like Higher and Higher, and Floating, obviously acknowledge the recent Apollo missions (as this was an album released at the end of 1969), with the former being a sort of irony to Man's achievements and the latter being the strange feeling of weightlessness.
Overall, just a really solid album with few low points. Definitely deserves more recognition in my mind.
During a certain period of time in my life that I'm not too proud of, Xasthur was the only artist who I'd listen to because his music made me feel a certain way. Telepathic with the Deceased is my favorite album from him and I consider it perfect. I'd listen to it on repeat since the atmosphere it created resonated with how I was feeling at the time. And now whenever I listen to it, I go back to how I felt back then.
I guess I mostly just have an emotional connection to this album.
This album, Chocolate and Cheese and The Mollusk are all god tier.
What's your favorite song off Quebec? I think mine would have to be If You Could Save Yourself or maybe Happy Colored Marbles
Best rock album of the 00's if you ask me
>I understand it
>but I don't want it
My neguses
I agree.
This album is literally pissing me off. Like 30% of the beats are insane, but all the rest is boring lazy ass trash.
How can anyone have so much potential without actually seeing it?
great album but i personally prefer mollusk, it flows better imo
One of the only albums to make me get genuinely emotional.
too real
I understand why people don't like it but to me it's easily their best record. There's not a single moment on this album I don't love.
That outro on Luciforms is just ridiculously good.
With Twilight As My Guide is probably the most haunting song I've ever heard in my life. I think it people go into this album not expecting the Mars Volta they already know, they could really appreciate it, but I get that going from The Bedlam In Goliath to Octahedron was probably way too big a change in sound for most older fans to get into.
just personal experiences that I've had with this album makes it a 10 to me. it's definitely not perfect but it just kinda brings me back to a good time when I listen to it.
I googled this and found zombies/mutants having sex, but the soundtrack was good.
I have lots of 10's but I never see this discussed on Sup Forums
Perfect songcraft, amazing musicianship, pretty diverse set of songs
good production and sound quality or whatever too
DUDE THIS GIRL LEFT ME LMAO: the album
yeah there's some misogyny going on that I can get down on
Better than Fresh Fruit, but not as amazing as PSD imo
I love DK. Frankenchrist and Bedtime for Democracy are both better than Fresh Fruit. I agree that PSD is the best, specifically with Religious Vomit tagged on the second half
Too bad punk rock bands aren't creative/can't play anymore
any stronger
Quebec stands out to me because it came so late in their career and is still so fuckin good. My favorite tracks are def Happy Colored Marbles and Hey There Fancypants.
My personal favorite Ween album is Chocolate and Cheese, but they are all good. Ween just knows what's up
Seeing em live soon as well
How little time was spent making this album and how interchangeable all of these songs are
It really shows how content they were in making it, just letting it all come together as it's own
Im not sure how describe the texture of this thing but it's the best shit i've heard
Yes
Everyone else feel ashamed for an hour
nice OP! i fucking love this album
okay
>it's the best shit i've heard
Sorry, user. I'm sure it'll get better.
...
I love this album :(
I really should have posted the cover with no content

Shitty pop music. Started the trend of dumbing down music in pop culture. Literally for 15 year olds trying to look well versed in music
Not discussed because it is A)
redundant
B) known by most everyone
I'm 33. You kids on Sup Forums talk about SPIN magazine teen model shit. I am well versed in music and this album is miles ahead of the status quo on this board
Every song on this album is perfect.
>33
>still on Sup Forums

: Royal Trux - Twin Infinitives
Deconstruction of rock n roll. At first it's a tripped out noise album, but with multiple listens the details seep through and reveal the genius of their concepts. I got harrrdcore into this album. Anyone else into Trux?
>new friend doesn't know that calling someone is a newfag is a guarantee they themselves are new
I've been on Sup Forums since it was a spot of moisture on the tip of something awful's dick. You're the kids on an old person's website. And Elvis Costello is too mainstream for you but 75 percent of the posts on this board at any given time are Radiohead (U2) posts

You're 33 grandpa. You should drop the snowflake attitude, its the reason you're still a virgin. Costello is known by literally everyone that knows elvis or hendrix, which again, is everyone.
10/10 for me too
>people posting Sup Forums core
>grandpa
Best way to spot a redditor
No. and Scaruffi is cancer.
fwiw I never claimed Elvis Costello was underground.
I am sure you've heard of him but I doubt you've ever listened to him. This board loves Pinkerton and records like that wouldn't exist if it weren't for Elvis Costello. Show some respect. Also not a virgin, I was in a touring band I probably fucked your big sister.
kek this is pathetic as fuck dude.
Tony Kaye's Hammond and Chris Squire's Bass get me hard everytime.
>give me that Z-O-L-O-F-T
>give me a grip
>make me love me
...
is that album about avoiding aids in a gay sex dense enviroment?
Just wanna add to the circlejerk here: I love this album so much. One of my favorites of all time. I have no clue how an album can have so much variety and so much consistency at the same time.
