Oh wait, ahahahahaha

>americans will unironically vote for this for the second time.

>that file name

i more like American version

When facing a staircase, do you call the floor "first step" too, retard?

they actually teach british kids that their little island country invented english

wtf i hate bongland now

>americans use two different numbering systems depending on whether they are above or below ground

Hmmm, we do it the same way as the Brits.

>Americans don't know where the ground is

It's a European thing.

what? explain

It's like this

Floor 3
Floor 2
Floor 1
Floor 0
Floor -1
Floor -2
Floor -3

Whereas Americans have no Floor 0, so their above ground floors are always one off.

Avoiding the hard questions, are we?

Behold, the American 5-step staircase.

The ground is the zeroth floor in this analogy.

You're Muslim. You have an excuse for being backwards.

>calling the 0th floor the 1st floor
>calling the 1st floor the 2nd floor

it's the same as the british in Spain.

Apparently, yes. I understand why they think it's weird though

>says the dude who measures height and length in body parts

im willing to sacrifice negative numbers for below ground to have the ground floor be floor 1, however i can see why you like the european one better

And?

Your country used some Muslim measurement system before it switched metric.

why would the ground floor count as one?
it's

>...
>floor 1
>floor 0 - lobby
>floor -1
>...

As much as I hate bongs american english is gibberish comparing to british english.

My 'country' didn't exist when we supposedly used Muslim measurements, so I don't know what your point is. Maybe you're just stupid.

stop embarrassing us faggot

Prefer American way

It's the first fucking floor unless you live in a hut with dirt.

>Meter
>Meter

Americans will defend this.

Yea you used a Muslim system.

Oh, so we used a Turkish measurement unit when we were conquered by Turkey?

Really makes you think....

does it really matter?

So are you now conquered by France?

No we're not, this time we agreed to it, as did other Europeans.

I trully don't understand the point you're trying to make here....

...

the floor is not even a part of the stairs

blame the eternal honhonhon

You forgot there might be an "entre-sol"

Marginally better than Bush, 2bh.

Greatest ally

Why would there be a Floor 0? That kind of indexing isn't really used anywhere else in everyday situations

What would you call a house with 2 floors or a ground floor and an up stairs? Here I always call them 2 storey houses.
Though I agree with the UK version in OP's pic.

2 storey house = house

1 storey house = bungalow

>not calling a 2 storey house a bungahigh
missed opportunity, desu.

Would you say it has 2 floors though? Or just 1?

>same threads
>same responses

We /wsb/ nao

>all these (You)'s
good lad

The only time when Americans were right at being special snowflakes.

We use the british way, and it's fucking stupid.

>britshariahs unironically call basements "underfloor root storage chambers"

It's fucking mixed here, some buildings have a ground level and others start from 1st.

Can be pretty confusing.
>"yeah bud, it's on the third floor"
>go up three flights of stairs
>I'm on the 4th floor
God damn it.

...

Which is the best version color/humor or colour/humour?

What floor is this for americans

Wtf I hate Brits now

I vote for the british version since we do the same.

>Floor is a part of stairs
t. Alberto Barbosa

um

1,000 × 1,000,000 = 1 BILLION IN AMERICA!

1-st ones. 2-nd ones have no etymologic justification.

Yes it is, but in Geology such a timespan is referred to as "Gya" (Giga years ago) to avoid confusion.
