>motherboard has absolutely no display, not even to BIOS
Anyone else ever have this problem? Are Asrock boards just trash?

You probably fucked up
Are you even sure you turned it on?
Yes I'm sure I turned it on. All the fans began to spin, including those connected to the mobo.
Is that a Pro4 AB350M? Yeah they are fucking shit mate. Bought one and it didnt work, send it back and get another one.
Love my taichi
One of those ram sticks doesn't even look fully seated, you are probably just a retard.
What cpu did you use?
Battery and cmos jumper is in place?
But, again, are you using a ryzen?
Check your CPU power connection and if your memory sticks are inserted
Boot with one stick at a time to check those
Check your display cable and switch it for another if possible
Leave the PC running and come back in 30 minutes, sometimes that works.
Lol. Close. It's the b250 pro 4 , which is essentially the same board but the Intel version. Looks like that is what I'll have to do.
Yeah, they're shite mate sorry. Pissed me off lad, was building my first pc with a pro4, piece of shit was broken.
sure your even using compatable ram with the cpu or board even? i have an asrock z67 or z87 (forgot) its been fine for 6 years
Every company has some DOA boards, which is just a fact of life.
They're seated. Even tried it with no RAM to see if BIOS would display.
I7 6700 non k. Battery is there, not sure about the CMOS
I have the AM4 pro4 and it just werkz.
You forgot to put cooler on CPU.
you probably bought a Z270 board for your coffee lake processor. (Even though they use the exact same socket (with the same name (LGA 1151))) Intel made the decision for them to not be compatible because they get more money if you have to buy new motherboard aswell
It's a B250 but yeah, the same applies.
In which case OP is a retard.
You cant get into your bios with no ram installed.
happened with the only assrock mb i ever bought a few months ago
total fucking garbage
Why would letting it run 30 minutes work? I'll check the CPU power and everything, just curious why that might help
100% sure. It's 2133 which is compatible. Theres a CPU cooler that's a pic I took before I was done.
Is your display cable going into the card or into the motherboard?
Just refund that hot thrash my friend.
It's a 6700. Skylake. This is not an overclocking mobo and my CPU isn't either.
this OP
Gpu at the moment but I've tried it both ways.
Could also be a faulty PSU.
first of all you don't install everything in your case and then test it
Works on my machine. Any brand is going to have a number of failures but overwhelmingly positive reception is a clear indicator that its not the common case.
It was the CPU power connection. Thank you sir.
>muh DOA
point at this retard and laugh
>connect all plugs
>it was the plug i didn't connect.
>6700
>non k
>6th gen
>Intel
Laugh all you want faggots. It wasn't that obvious. I got the processor from another computer that apparently only had a 4 pin power connector. I was using an 8 pin on this mobo and when I realized that and split off the 4 I didn't need, it fixed it. It wasn't that obvious.
It's usually obvious if you've rtfm.
>mocking a free processor
>buying intel
AHGAHAHHAHAHAHHA
>being this poor
>AMD fags this buttblasted
pathetic
>He bought an asscock mobo
that's an attractive bios
Don't feel bad OP.
After my first build, I spent a day freaking out until I realized I didn't plug the DisplayPort all the way into the monitor.
I second this.
Bought this board a week ago and now it doesnt recognize the drive as bootable anymore.
meant for
Mine seems to be working fine
>Asrock
>Ever
You're an idiot
OP again. It seems to be working fine now. I've got all drives, all 24 GB of RAM, both 1050 tis, and my 1070 ti installed. Here's hoping this mobo holds up.
I bought an Asrock Z77 Pro3 for my first ever build. It hasn't failed me in 4 years, and gone through a lot of other hardware upgrades.
...
I just built a new rig last week and I had this happen until I realized I forgot to plug the DVI cable into my monitor. Most of the time it's something retarded like that and not a DOA.
you absolute spanner I have this board you've pulled the heat sink off the CPU vrms at the top of the board I'm hoping you didn't try and turn it on as the board will be fucked
What? I dont understand
Do I need spanner tool to remove the heatsink?
i dont think he did. this board doesnt seem to have a big heatsink on the vrms like the taichi does
I really like my AsRock motherboard
Don't see why people call them bad
probably people just parroting stuff they heard others say. my x370 taichi is pretty great
People that call asrock boards bad are retards like OP.
I didn't take anything off the board and it's working perfectly now.
