>Assembly
are you a fucking retard?, there are lot of assemblies, for different architectures , notations etc, who ever just claims to know "assembly" without more details is a fucking lamer.

...

Z80 assembly
Learned on the internet, used it to make a procedural map generator, but i would not like the game i was making so i dropped it.

yes I have laps, whats the problem cunt?

I once wrote a C++ compiler in Haskell that used deep neural networks in it's optimizers. I sold it to NSA, they said they would use it for compiling programs that factorize RSA keys. I had no prior experience in Haskell or C++ before then. You don't believe me? Everything is in the Snowden files.

>Haskell
>deep neural networks

Rashid you have not talent for lying btfo.

looks like caverns of KROZ. Which was simply a govt program to justify the lesser used ascii characters.

t. Sam, the 9-5 office programmer who thinks each language has one purpose and you can't use it for anything else

The idea was to make more of a wizardry like thing.
But the gameboy tiles etc weren't good enough to show the map deep enough to work with those maps.

Ok, i will start:

show us the source code rashid.

Do you even realize what would happen if I gave you the code? The program can be used to compile huge-number-factorizers. The implications are huge. It could collapse the global economy and start World War III. The NSA has it. You can check the Snowden files. That's all.

No, I meant that its DNN optimizer makes the program really fast. Sure, anyone can write a factorizer, but for RSA-2048, it's not going to find the answer until it runs for like, 150 years. My compiler produces extremely fast programs.

We live the same life user.

if you know register management, stack frames, etc. you can learn any architecture in a couple days.

Dumb. Just tell them I've programmed every relevant language and can master any one language in less than a week.

x86 assembly, NASM (just some custom libc functions, overall suck at it), can also write state machines bitches
C - text editor, Lisp interpreter (very primitive), static web server, key storage database, unixy shell, window manager, recently started small kernel - name a meme beginner project and I've probably done that
C++ - currently learning it, 2D gamedev with SFML
Rust - learned before C++ which was a good choice, didn't stick with it
Go - RSS reader, IRC client, reop-like file encryptor, looking forward to using it more
Java - schooled in it
Erlang, Elixir - few months of learning without opportunity to actually use it
Lua - learned C bindings before learning Lua properly, learned Lua afterwards, threw it in trash because it sucks
Python - monitoring server for some measuring device
Matlab, scientific Python libraries, R - had some statistics, signal processing and machine learning courses using these, R toolchain is my weapon of choice for crafting documents
JavaScript - simple front-ends with AJAX calls
Scheme - did SICP exercises, that's all
posix shell, bash, awk, wide range of unix utilities, not perl - everyday bread
PHP - had some school assignments, did the same thing in BCHS stack in parallel to keep my sanity

Some others maybe, nothing of interesting, I'm a physicist not a programmer, not much time for big projects

c# - Currently making an offline inventory management program just to help myself learn
- made a text based rpg through the console, full with inventory and whatnot, never finished it though couldnt think of the story.

php - only dabbled slightly a few years back never liked it

and nothing from anything else

thank you

Python (not necessarily the one I think is best, but the one I like using more).

Several algorithms for sorting, and I'm developing a cloud storage program that uses SSH authentication and works with nodes instead of server-client.

is this the game you made in assembly ?
still impressive.
good profile, PHP does not fit in
no scripting languages ?
Your post motivated me to do more side projects
pretty impressive and motivational

I will give you my kidney if you produce evidence of this.

i know python but I dont do shit with it anymore

I was one of those people who went into CS without prior knowledge of programming. Caught up quickly and found a passion for it like never before. All I want right now is to get a time machine and introduce programming to the very young myself.

Python

>Damn, same thing brother.

And then there's the bits and pieces of other code I tried to teach myself waaay before I got into classes and after classes-
Torquescript
Lua
SQF(Arma 3)

I've been thinking about coding a Faction Creator system for ARMA 3 using C++ or Python.

But have you had sex (with a woman)?

C - for writing performant system daemons. Basically the only language I dedicate all my time to but I can get any senior C job I want and also do LKD.
Python - for fun and making money on side (web projects and data science)

Nothing else, I specialized. Oh well.

Ah, why not..

>>Assembly
>Through uni, use it daily now.
>Most complex would be the base codes for an assembly line+arm controllers

Im interested in reverse engineering but i want to learn the fundamentals of assembly first.
I want to do this because I think it will help me with reverse engineering.
Should I start reading a x86_64 Assembly Book?
Can you recommend me a lecture or an other way to self taught it ?

>good profile, PHP does not fit in
yeah i had the misfortune of learning it when i was 12. it was one of my first "real" languages

>C++
>Can't really say specifically where I learned it
>I use it in graphics programming
>I've written some graphing software and made some games.
>I guess some of the harder stuff I've done is water and buoyancy. More recently I've been thinking about trying weather systems and some space stuff. At the moment I need to get better at math to progress.

Only before I started with programming, never since that.

What's your current knowledge of Assembly so far?
If you don't know anything yet, order some microcontrollers and start to build some ample lights and io systems.
After you get the hang of that you'll probably look into remote controlling/Hacking by yourself.
Unfortunately I can't really recommend books, at one point it's just the manufacturers manual on the controller specifics and the internet anyway.

On a side note; if you just wanna get into reversing engineering for funsies/not industrial level, you might as well get a raspberry for its diversity.

I know:
C++
JavaScript
Ruby
PHP
HTML
Python

I have done the ampel thing on a microcontroller on the school
i have some raspbery pis, what can i do with them ?

Basically everything, see pic related.
If you already got an Ampel.
You might wanna try, giving it several independent programs to run.
Giving that you said you're in school, you may wanna grab a motion sensor and make the Ampel react to it, or try to build a mouse.

Some of this shit I BARELY know

Assembly (x86 and x64)

>idk, fuck this language, its shitty

probably some other stuff I can't remember
but that Java program for event planning project is still going and its a doozy of an assignment

got any more details on that? The Wiki entry is kinda sparse and I want to hear more about it, sounds interesting.

[my own languages]
But since compilers and interpreters are atypical from every other kind of program and I don't know anything else, it's a useless skillset.

>C
self-taught.
PHP extensions for some natural language processing was probably the biggest pain in the ass.
>C#
self-taught.
Designed some RESTful APIs for a couple companies I worked for. Biggest pain in the ass was refactoring, documenting, and adding in thorough unit, integration, and regression tests to some Pajeet code which was responsible for intentionally trying to break the company website.
>C++
self-taught.
mostly used for game development. Shipped a few games. Biggest pain in the ass was porting some nonsense data analysis shit written in VBA over to C++ while maintaining cross platform compatibility so that my boss can debug (sprinkle printf everywhere in the program) on Windows 10 even though we only ever ran the program on servers running some linux distro.
>Lisp (Clojure)
self-taught.
Before some smug lisp weenie chimes in, yes, Clojure is a lisp. Get over it.
VN Dating Sim because why not.
>Lua
self-taught.
Made a game with it. Language sucks. Most complex thing was probably a WoW addon that did some questionable shenanigans to communicate with a C++ program running in the background to drive a force-feedback haptics controller.
>PHP
self-taught.
I don't use it anymore. Most complex thing actually wound up being a teaching position during the dot-com hype train. I really miss those days; I haven't had a job that payed anywhere close to that one ever since.
>Python
self-taught.
Only ever used briefly for some data scraping shit for a company I worked for.

One game

I've dabbled in a few others but I think it's stupid to say you know something if you've barely touched it, like those people on GitHub who drop a huge list of everything they "know" when really all of their projects are written in like one language

Racket
> Reading the documentation, browsing interwebs, asking IRC.
> using it for small projects and programming challenges

Big take away is it lets me write a lot of code more concisely, though it is lacking on libraries

oh... we were supposed to list off all the languages we have learned and used.........

fuck im too tired for this shit.

x86 assembly
MIPS assembly
C
C++
Java

Emacs Lisp
Python
Ruby

...goes on

It seems like a lot, but I put emphasis on studying programming languages & design more than actually building large software tools.
