Need to buy a laptop for university

Need to buy a laptop for university.
I have a asus gaming laptop but that shit is too heavy.
I see all the guys in my class flipping their screens taking snapshots of the board and then writing over the pictures.
But they all use fucking macs or the hp 2000$ tab.

Is there anything that can run cadding softwares, programming softwares, while being light, and i can write on screen ?

Any recommendations ?

XPS 15. I don't have the touch version but it exists. My 9560 can run GTA V in high and VS so it surely can run cadding software, the screen is excellent, it's relatively light and has no real defect.

By the way,
- powerful, light, touchscreen
- under $2000
pick one.

How much u buy it for ?
Canadian dollar ?

€1800 for the Full HD non-touch version.
You have to put the price but I hear the latest models have fixed the very slight coil whine from mine, so I guess they are perfect now.

I don't know the price in Canada$, go see on Dell's website.

Instead of taking pictures and writing notes, pay attention to the lecture.
That way you will actually learn something instead of just pretending to be busy.

The world is advamcing to fast, i have many things to do at the same time, some classes are obsolete, but im forced to go to, i cant use my pgone since its also obsolete...
So i need it i would spend my money on something i dont need

I wouldnt*

You need to pay attention to the lecture if you want to take notes right

Not OP but I literally just need something light and somewhat modern for somewhat cheap

ASUS is good for that, just don't expect very good software support. It should be less of a problem now that Windows is stuck on 10, but I got several issues updating from 8.1 on my older laptop, and the touchpad driver often went into an infinite loop that forced me to reboot.

That's not what science says.

Students who take many notes perform worse on tests.

I use a Thinkpad x230 when I go on work trips and stuff. It will never let me down.

Video tape your lectures and rewatch it.

Yes autism speaks

Everyone learns differently. Some people remember it when the hear it, others when the write it, and the lucky ones can remember it just by looking at it.
