Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-CF motherboard. Manual (found here gigabyte.com
What browser is the least intensive on your pc?
>windows 8.1
For all that is holy, install 10.
Also why is your 3TB drive showing as 3GB?
As for the beeping, see if it still does it after your upgrade to 10.
I think Edge.
Most people have enough RAM nowadays so I don't think it's been looked at for a while.
I'm working with an existing codebase. It's massive and I need to figure out the relevant code that inserts some data into a MySQL database. How can I do this? It's PHP.
Well firstly I would never use edge because I'm not scum, secondly I'm on linux sooooooo
I want to buy ebooks in EPUB format. Where should I shop?
I really have no intention of installing Win10. The 3TB showing up that way is another mystery I have yet to solve, but I haven't really bothered much. I assumed that when I put it and the other two HDDs in this new computer from the last one that a cable wasn't connected well and that's what's causing the 3GB thing. Like I said, I just haven't bothered looking into that issue. The beeping did start after attaching those three HDDs though so perhaps I really should find that out. Only just realized that the two coincided.
Posted on the other thread, but it ded.
Basically, I got a new GPU (1070TI AMP!) for mining, but while I wait for the rest of my setup, I decided to plug it on my PC to gayme or something.
My only monitor available is a DVI/VGA one, and I'm using a DVI single link cable to connect to it.
It booted correctly the first time, but as soon as the Nvidia drivers were installed the screen turned black. If I try restarting, the screen will show stuff up to the windows loading logo, then it disappears. Using the HDMI or safemode+base video works, which makes me believe the problem is the Nvidia driver itself. It doesn't detect the monitor at all (I checked using HDMI+my tv).
What should I do? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, but that didn't help. Not sure what else to do
I had the same problem with a 1080ti and it was the drivers, does the screen register anything when you boot the pc?
>If I try restarting, the screen will show stuff up to the windows loading logo
If it's doing that but isn't showing up in your display settings that's a driver.
Well then everything works perfect, now doesn't it?
>has hardware that is only partially initialized
>wonders why his computer is complaining
Yeah, it might have something to do with it.
For all that is holy, do NOT install 10.
the screen shows the bios (which I can edit), grub and the windows loading screen (the one with logo and a spinning wheel - not the one with some cool pic on the background) and then it turns black. If I then connect the HDMI, the monitor considers itself innactive (aka receiving no signal)
What's the version of the driver you're currently running?
I imagined it'd be so. What can I do to solve it, besides uninstall and reinstall?
Are there tools that scan someone's device to make sure it is safe when they join a network? We get engineers and randies at our office and I'm worried some retard will show up with an infected machine.
You should install it to get your 8.1 key upgraded at the very least. You can go back to 8.1 if you want after. It would be stupid to wait until they're no longer taking old keys to find out you need to upgrade for something.
You have gone to display settings and clicked "detect" right?
You probably have but have you updated the actual 1070 driver? Under display adapters.
Other than that if the screen is being shown under monitors in your device manager idk what it could be, possibly the screen is too old?
>possibly the screen is too old?
Scratch that I highly doubt that is the cause.
Okay so I decided to look into initializing that HDD. But it seems that doing so will erase the data on it? How is it that this disk worked just fine in my old machine but now can't be recognized without deleting the contents?
it isn't being shown under monitors when I'm running with the nvidia drivers+hdmi to my TV. It's working fine with no nvidia driver tho, and I'm witing this post from my shitty DVI monitor
Shut it down, unplug the drive, and plug it back in.
Damn. That's going to be annoying because I don't know which drive is which. But I'll try it.
That's weird.
You could try going to view in device manager and clicking show hidden devices, then updating all that are shown or just the monitor if you know its name.
My driver is version 23.21.13.8813, updated on 27/10/17.
It'll be the one that's slightly different than the other two...
Sauce?
HDDs all look pretty damn physically similar to me, user. Especially when they're set in a case so all I can see are the ports.
Is there a way to check if Windows 10 was activated legitimately?
Games won't recognize my Nvidia GPU and I can't open the Nvidia control panel.
I've already tried uninstalling my drivers with DDU in safe mode.
Just noticed my SD card is displaying as this. It used to just be called 'external storage" should I be worried?
You've been compromised
pretty weird results desu. The monitor shows when connected with no nvidia driver, but as soon as it is installed it turns to disconnected
look for anything that uses the mysqli.so extension?
no, you need to secure your network first, or give them a secondary, less secure network to use
should be in your about computer.. unless you mean an illegitimate would look the same I don't know the answer to that
I'd take it out and look at it under a microscope. not literally

It's a manga that had an anime adaptation of a few of its firirst chapters. Dunno the chapter and page of pic though.
is your monitor plugged into the graphics card, or your motherboard?
Also sometimes your BIOS settings will default to the intergrated GPU and not the external one, check those settings as well (but it should autodetect if your monitor is in the external graphics card)
I'm using a laptop. How do I check the BIOS settings?
What would be the best way to set up an rss client to have a non google youtube? bascially just a feed of my susbscribed channels most recent upload that plays through mpv when i click on it
(somehow also loading the related videos so i can choose which to watch afterwards would be great, also idk how selection the video quality would play into this) I am on linux btw (idk if i should be asking this on fglt tho)
just go back too 7 8.1 and 8 is retarded.
usually F2 or F10 when booting up, but it's probably something else if it's a laptop, I'd just ask your manufacturer instead
it seems like the TV is shown as "generic pnp monitor". while the monitor is shown as "generic non-pnp monitor". Could this mean something?
>I am on linux btw (idk if i should be asking this on fglt tho)
you should
still, youtube-dl should do this with youtube-dl :ytsubscriptions --netrc --playlist-end 20 according to github.com
How does Sup Forums like to hide lewd pictures on their phones?
So amazon doesn't specify what SSD/HDD they're selling this with.

Best VM software for loonix?

I can't help you (nor am I tech-savvy enough to comfortably say I belong on Sup Forums) but I feel like a phone has so much personal information, like everyone must have their gmail signed in, private message history intact etc., so how often really do people sub-encrypt things on their phone when access to the phone itself is already granted?
I don't, because I pw lock my phone and am a fucking adult whose parents don't look for porn
what if you use multiple e-mails + TOR to grind on Swagbucks?
Then you have my pity.
What ftp app should I use on android?

To answer a better question, libgen.io (mirror: gen.lib.rus.ec). You can google "convert to epub" if libgen only gives you results in .mobi or .pdf.
I'm just trying to keep my anime tiddies from popping up when I insert a photo into certain apps
I have "python2-scandir" installed but this python script cant find "scandir" when it executes

is it possible to post a picture on Sup Forums without having the pic saved to your computer, direct from the internet?
You might have asked the wrong person. I only know how to stingily avoid paying for books and articles, not programming.
yes, use 4chanX and it's in the quick reply box

Plenty of people on this board aren't, just shitpost and be free, people are going to call you a faggot anyway
AndFTP? Can't hurt to try a few out and see what you like
I am well aware. Sometimes, however, I want a particular version of a text that Library Genesis, or some other site like it, doesn't have or the quality of the text is poor. So I asked for shop because it increases my chances of finding what I want.
I know that feel (still can't help you btw), however when it was really a concern for me, I would create a new folder via QuickPic, then copy a few images I'd be ok with accidentally uploading to the new folder. Then copy the one I want to upload last, so it shows as most recent when choosing one.
It sounds convoluted, but half the time the image is in a random spot anyway, and locating and selecting it might refresh the browser and require I locate and select it again. So I make a habit to copy what I will upload to a new folder anyway.
What came in to replace Daz's boot loader, Ideally I want to run win7ult again on my desktop. I like the nostalgia.
Daz is still the way to go for 7.
I used Daz loader years ago and I'm using the same install. Should I expect my install to bork one day or something? Not sure what you're implying here.
Trying to install Eclipse for Java class in school. It says I need a JVM, so i need either a JDK or a JRE. Kinda confused by this installation tutorial on the Eclipse wiki though:
>If you intend to use Eclipse for Java development, then you should install a JDK. If you aren't planning to use Eclipse for Java development and want to save some disk space, install a JRE.
Isn't the point of using Eclipse to write code, hence "Java development"? Or am I missing something here?
I have a few python scripts im trying to run.
When i execute them they return illegal hardware instruction (core dumped)
It is only these certain scripts, other scripts work fine.
What could cause this?
Okay I did that and to the best of my knowledge made sure all the connections were secure. I just ordered an enclosure and am gonna try connecting it that way to see if that changes things.
DAZ Loader is the shit man for Windows Vista/7/Server 2008/R2. Been working fine for a several years now (since 2010). But damn I kinda hate torrents. Start and then things are happy downloading then when they get to 98-99%, wham, shit falls off a cliff down to zero, nothing. Restarting/Forcing it to download don't do shit. Try to hunt for high seeder ratio and even those don't mean much anymore. Load up multiple copies of the same torrent and try to copy the partially complete file to the one that's moving and run "recheck". Shit still don't work (gets overwrote maybe?). So fuck man. I've found that Rarbag is pretty reliable, but damn even those still suck sometimes.
>Or am I missing something here?
Eclipse supports multiple languages. It needs the JRE to run, but it only needs an installed JDK if you're coding in Java. Since you're doing this for a Java class, go with the JDK. Ij you were using it to write in any other language you could get by with just the JRE and that languages dev. tools.
Any Ausfags here?
I need a new external HDD, let's say a WD Passport, 2TB. Is JB a bad place to buy such things? They have them for around $100, and I hadn't seen them any cheaper at places like MSY.
Why is 404 redirection broken now? Reinstalling the script hasn't done anything for me. Is the ad for Hiro's monopoly money doing shit?
$100 AUS isn't too bad for 2tb.
What pattern are the beeps in? Can you sleep it from a live Linux USB and see if it still beeps? It could bee Windows beeping at you and not your BIOS. After all, it doesn't POST on wake from standby.
does noscript captcha need cookies or another shit in order to work? every time I try to use it pic related happens
>could bee Windows beeping at you and not your BIOS
Holy shit really? I didn't even think of that I've been so fixated on it being the MOBO doing it. I don't have access to anything Linux at the moment and frankly am probably too dumb to figure that out. I'll have to look into that first part though. Thanks user.
I need to access a server but I can only access it through a whitelisted IP address. I don't have a static IP address and don't have a way to get one where I live so I can't send them an IP to whitelist. Is there any alternative that I could use as a go-between to connect to and then whitelist that IP address instead?
>troubleshooting 101
what do you think could be causing it? cookies? did you try enabling cookies? are they even disabled?
My main email is my name, how do I protect myself? I went on that am I pwned site and it said I was in a spamlist a few years ago, how do I defend this?
How do i, given a certain string, return every possible anagram? For example, given the string "abc" it must return ["abc","acb","bac","bca","cab","cba"]
buy a vps and tunnel?
I have cookies disabled because autism. At first I thought it was a problem with umatrix blocking something, but it still doesn't work.
Normal captcha works, but it doesn't load half of the time because my connection is shit
I'm trying to understand the blockchain technology and decentralization. From what i've understand it's impossible to stop by governmnets etc. And once something is on network, it's there forever.
Let's say someone builds a network of image/video sharing board. How are they gonna moderate illegal metarial (drug marketing, terrorist manuals, illegal porns etc)? I saw steemit for example, how do they handle this problem?
Someone posted this here the other day
Do you know where can I get these graphs?
you don't need blockchain for distributed hosting. that is literally torrents
blockchain provides proof of work to verify content
What do you non-web developers make? Command line tools? GUIs? What else is there besides web dev.
But when i'm accesing a blockchain network i have access to all data and i physically store some random portion of it on my pc, did i get it correct? I can choose what to access on torrents?
no you need all of the blockchain to verify. the real bitcoin client is 150gb of chain. if you don't have the real client then you're using someone else's server for the chain
You store the whole thing
I can't boot Parrot OS from usb on my lenovo ideapad flex 4-1130. i used rufus on windows 10 to put the .iso on the usb. the lenovo is running solus linux. i made sure to disable secure boot, and have it on uefi boot. someone help me please.

How much does someone else in the house watching something with Netflix impact my ability to stream video?
I don't really have any problem with YouTube or something but I've been trying to watch a cartoon on openload and it is taking an unholy long time to buffer which made me wonder if the other person streaming is responsible for that. What's the reasoning behind one site being impacted but not the other?
Every once in a while my display will freeze and become covered in green squares. Then it will go black for a few seconds before going back to normal with a "driver stopped working and recovered" message. This is on a GTX 960 that's a couple of years old. I'm running windows 7. I ran memtestcl on it and it returned 0 errors. It performs totally fine during a furmark test. Temps are fine. This hasn't happened when it was under any major load(I think I've had a youtube video open most of the times it has happened). I've made no hardware or software changes lately. I updated the drivers and did all the changes to settings that google told me to do.
I've noticed two things: if I have MSI afterburner running, then after it happens every single graph will spike to the absolute maximum, some of it returning insanely high numbers(it said it was using like 61000% power usage or something). If I run memtestcl, it takes a long time to perform the walking 0 and walking 1 tests(~300-400ms) but if I have a videogame run in the background these tests only take ~30ms. This has also never happened to me while I was playing a videogame. However, if I run furmark in the background, the test time does not improve.
What can I do about this? Is my video card dynig? If it were dying, wouldn't memtest return errors?
Netflix 1080p is between 3 and 5 megabits/s
So if you have a 5-10 megabit plan with your isp you might have some issues. If you have anything faster then 10mbit, you shouldn't have issues, it could be a peering issue between the sites you're going too, or they are throttling you
Desktop GUIs. GUIs for machines that aren't desktop computers but still interact with people, like ATMs and shit. Backend code for desktop apps that carry out what the user said to do. Embedded backend code. Talking to specialty hardware like motor controllers. Even more embedded code that runs inside that specialty hardware. Shitty Windows drivers for that hardware. Porting/partial reverse engineering those drivers to get the hardware to work with Linux or your team's preferred embedded OS. Tracking down other people's bugs. And so forth.
Openload has shitty compression, shitty servers and no adjustable resolutions.
Wifi sucks. You get maybe 20% of advertised speeds in perfect conditions.
If your wifi tops out at 3-5 mbit/s it might be time to upgrade.
