Does anyone here have one of these?

Does anyone here have one of these?
Been thinking about getting one.

Pros/Cons ?

you're better off getting something like an x1 carbon than a macbook clone with winDOZE

The specs are nice and so is the price.
What's not to like?

>everything soldered
>No chance for warranty support

The pro model is nice though but fuck a 1080p screen.

I am aware of the warranty support.
That's about the only thing that concerns me.

xiaomi

Are you being biased now?

I have the air 13 (2017).
It's pretty good, you can install a 2nd M.2 SSD if you like and the specs are fine.
I feel like it wasn't THAT good of a deal though, there are a lot of locally trading brands that have sales for similar or better prices.

Still it's basically a Macbook for cheaper and with more ports.

I agree with you there.
Was also looking at the HP Specter and a few other slim models as well, but something about the Xiaomi keeps bringing me back.

Granted, it is a Mac clone but it's very well made, and the port selection is also good.
Best bang for the buck I could get I think.

Pros:
Prestigio SmartBook 133s exists
Cons:
Prestigio SmartBook 133s is better

I mean I'm satisfied, I like the clean look with no logo and it performs well, just don't expect it to completely shit on the big boys.
It's just a good all round ultrabook that takes inspiration from macbooks.

>13"
>no thanks

Oh not at all.
I don't regard it as a show stopper, nor do I need it for gayming, but for everyday things it's perfect

My colleague has one, it's pretty nice but view angles suck and keyboard is shitty. Hard to complain about it with that price though...

Hardware-level backdoor.

>muh intel me boogeyman

power button is a keyboard button and it sits where delete used to sit.

you can turn it off in windows though

>intel
Chinks botnet is no joke

There is no evidence of a hardware backdoor in Mi Notebooks from my searching

It comes down to whether you prefer chinks or the NSA spying on you

Personally I'd prefer the chinks

Not OP but lack of warranty support worries for something this expensive (to me it is at least)
