Italian is really good but pales in comparison to Thai, Mexican or Indian

French food is the most overrated and overpriced food on the planet.

It's cheap here.

If we're talking about everyday cuisine and not fancy meals like foie gras, chèvre chaud etc; Nothing beats Mediterranean cuisine in general (simplicity, quality and fresh products, fish) maybe Japan and others archipelagos can compete.

Foie gras poché au vin rouge épicé.

Tbh, French gastronomy is undoubtedly the best, but not for everyday cooking.

I hate foie gras poché though, the taste becomes too strong. I'd rather make toasts with figs.

Fuck I want a Raclette so bad atm.

What are the main features of Peruvian food that distinguishes from others? What's a popular dish for a newbie to try?

It is good. I studied in Chile and the best restaurants there were Peruvian and German.

>American foot

>inb4 beans

that's australian by god given right.
you know why australians always eat outside?
because their houses are disgusting.

eating salty food with sweet is not that popular here

i mean, it kinda is, my mom and lots of other people eat fucking watermelon with sirene(pic related, type of quite salty bulgarian cheese), but ive always found it fucking weird

then again, im not a big fan of sweets in general, i cant have a breakfast with anything sweet for example, thats why i never understood how americans eat cereal every morning

Well some things just go well together, also you shouldn't take it as duality between sweet and salty.

Cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, onions are all sweet but you eat it in a salty meal.

>cucumbers are sweet
no

You've been eating the wrong cucumbers then.

Yes they are, fresh and well nourished cucumbers are sweet.

As someone brought up by Indian immigrants, let me just say that Indian cuisine varies heavily.
Let me stratify Indian cuisine for you
1. North Indian/Pahari non-veg dishes
2. Mughlai Non-Veg
......
9000. South Indian veg
900000000. Literal dogshit on a freshly cut lawn
900000000000. Bengali food
9000000000000000. Gujurati vegetarian food

We can live without these things.

caprese salad is really mild, and i would call that the penultimate tomato dish.

>Caprese salad
God tier, but if only the penultimate what is the ultimate tomato dish for you?

Also please send frankfurters

Lomo saltado is basically a beef stir fry with french fries that's emblematic of Peru, representing our diverse range of ingredients and mixed cultural heritage.

Personally, I like it with a dash of mustard and with the fries already mixed with the beef stir fry.

Oh nice, dunno if I've ever seen a German restaurant here though. Shame. I've actually been to Germany but never got around to trying some of their more traditional dishes. Just currywurst (I know), Flammkuchen with white German wine and... schnitzel.

I'll never forget my favorite beers though, Franziskaner weissbier and Schneider Weisse.

We don't have cuisine, besides sea food in some areas but that's not unique

I actually love "American" cuisine

>German hamburger
Yeah pretty good
>American hamburger
WHF

>Italian pizza
The best food ever
>American pizza
WTF

Americans can't even into decent barbecue so no surprise

wtf why do u guys hate american cuisine

Good taste in beer

What Mexican food have you tried besides tacos?

Those were the ones that really stood out for me, because damn you guys have a different beer in each city.

West Germany is really underrated I think. Everyone seems to want to go to Berlin or Frankfurt but Hamburg, Bremen and Koln really stood out for me.
