Total newfag needs help

Hey guys, im looking to get a somewhat high powered pre built PC. My budget is 1k. when it comes to specs what should i be looking for?

Which of these PCs are the best?

>>>/sticky/

Fair enough.
Just wanted some help but whatever.

The last one

Thank you for the imput. Why is it the best choice though? I want to know what makes a good PC a good PC!!!

GPU and CPU.

Processor-wise, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between all of those, and the RAM is identical save for the last one, so those shouldn't matter.

Disk space, the first one is only one that advertises having an SSD in addition to a standard 1TB HDD, which, assuming they loaded the OS on the SSD, would be way faster than the other ones, so there's that.

Graphics-wise, the second and third options look to be budget PCs so if you're planning on spending additional money on other things, like KB+M or monitors, you want to go with those, otherwise, if you want speed, the first choice is good and if you want power, the last choice is also good.

Thanks buddy! So processor count doesnt really matter? i want to mine crytpo eventually. is GPU is the most important aspect of mining?

I think you need to leave.

Very helpful, thank you. Would any of these be a good investment if i wanted to start mining or would i be better off buying a mining rig and a cheap pc?

The core components of a PC determine how it will run.

>Processor
>RAM and type of RAM
>Graphics Card

Buy nothing less than an i7 for intel.
Get something with a Ryzen for AMD.

Graphics cards run in tiers and versions.
a 1080 ti will be better than a 1060, because the 1060 is older.

The last one is the best deal. Because it has 16GB of DDR 4 ram and a 1060 with a ryzen.

Like i said dude, i am basically a normie from Sup Forums and want to increase my knowledge about this shit.

Awesome, thanks dude. What about the dedicated graphics card? is that going to be a hindrance if i want to mine crypto?

Well it is a 1060 so it isn't dedicated.
Laptops have dedicated graphics, in a desktop it is a huge card that attaches to the motherboard.

I would not mine crypto in this climate. If you are buying this just to mine crypto it is a waste.

If you want to mine in some downtime and can figure out how to set it up and not get your wallet stolen. Go for it.

But for the most part, mining with one 1060 won't be worth the energy costs per hash rate. Basically you might be paying money to mine coin and break even at best.

Mining crypto you would get a mobo and a basic processor and small bit of ram just to run the OS and mining programs so to speak, then strap 4 or 5 GPU cards to it and use those to mine.

Using one GPU is very inefficent and you won't make any money. People that are actually mining coins have machines that have 4 GPUs EACH attached to them.

Thank you. i truly appreciate your input.
I am buying this to both use the computer daily and mine crypto while i sleep. it will be stored at my office so i wont be paying for power so even if i make a small return i fele like it will be beneficial.

Then I would say it is worth it. It will perform great for daily tasks. Just keep in mind if you are mining it will lower your graphics card life span but in a couple years you will want to upgrade anyways.

Hope this all helps, sometimes Sup Forums can just be a bunch of people telling you to fuck off and google it.

No, i understand Sup Forums culture as i am a part of it. You have been a great help and if you are into crypto i hope that you see exponential growth.

PS get some ZCL before the fork!

> tfw buying a prebuilt is cheaper than building now a days because of miners
what a time to be alive

your lack of knowledge is almost offensive.
Try /r/BuildAPC

I browse Sup Forums /fit/ and /biz/... trying to expand my horizons nigger

I understand
Sup Forums has top tier linux dev autists. You're gonna find much friendlier help for beginner topics on either reddit, the dedicated stupid questions thread, or deep inside the barrel of a shotgun

>Processor-wise, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between all of those,

are you fucking dense? a fx 6300 and fx 8350 get DESTROYED by the the i5, the i7, and the Ryzen system linked.

The shotgun sounds tempting but i think i will just take the buttblast of Sup Forums until i too understand what a fingerbox is used for.

The last one also comes with 16 GB of ddr4

Don't even mention mining around here. It's cancer and is ruining the PC parts market towards graphics cards and processors. Go back to /biz/ if you want to make money, and don't expect much from cryptomining with that shitty budget. You're going to need like 10 graphics cards to even be profitable over your power bill.

>2. You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.

Seriously, not busting your balls, reddit would be more helpful.
Sup Forums can't come to a consensus on anything.

Tbh, I wouldn't get a computer now. Wait for mining to drop a bit, or for Nvidia to step in unless you can find a 1070 for ~ $400.
Generally speaking, pre-builts are a scam, the only reason you can consider the options in your original picture is because the hyper inflated cost of GPUs at the moment.

So yeh, build your own, look for a cheap 1070, get a 7600 or 7700 (or a ryzen chip I guess, not too familiar with those).
16 gigs of ddr4 ram. Speed and design doesn't matter. A cheap enough motherboard, cheap enough psu (with 80+ bronze certification), cheap case that isn't too ugly. 1tb HDD, about a 250gb SSD to stick your OS on if you want to spend the extra dosh, it's fine if you don't.

That's about it, plug it all in, and you have yourself a near toppa da line pc.

>and the RAM is identical save for the last one
the 1nd and 3th option have ddr3

>Well it is a 1060 so it isn't dedicated.
it is you mong, its a dedicated card as opposed to a integrated one like the hd graphic shit you find on intel cpus

just buy components and build one...

>500-650w psu
>a nice case... the s340 elete is real nice for the price right now imo
>am4 mobo... spend like 100 buckaroos
>ryzen 5 1600 - if your close to budget with a gpu, get the stock cooler. if not, get an after market ar cooler, a tube of tuniq tx-4, and some extra case fans.
>8gb of ddr4 ram, buy another 8gb in like 4 months when prices are back down.
>a gpu to take up the rest of your budget. 1070 / 570 most likely. maybe an after market 580 or an older titan x?
