There is something morbidly amusing in the fact that before the second plane hit everyone was sure it was an accident and couldn't comprehend that it was a terror attack, as that was not something the western world at large was familiar with.
I distinctly remember the amount of Americans posting threads on Sup Forums laughing at Euros after the Paris attacks.
Also, by familiar I mean how now whenever there is something like that everyone instinctively thinks it's a terror attack, even if it's not in the end.
