I want to know what is your favourite techno artists (also house, breackbeat, NuDisco, hardcore etc.), your favourite techno fusion with other genders (even if it doesn't exist) like technoJazz or whatever you think would be good.
Great! we've got similar taste. I'm from madrid and this dark ambient techno is really getting through very fast. Do you know any spanish djs? like miguel bastida or coyu? ' what do you think of Jordan Lieb? youtube.com/watch?v=ZjusoODMxxE

I'm not into techno all that much but like listening to stuff like Basic Channel when I study.
i know a couple oscar mulero, joton, tadeo, nx1 your stuff is a bit too tech house for my liking tho unfortunately hopefully those artists arent too pure techno for you though
Andrew Fisher
I just... I've tried, man. I don't get techno. Or House or any EDM stuff. I'm not up on the terms. I've listened to Albums and I've been to festivals. I need singers and instruments. The inhuman aspect of it makes all of it too hard for me to connect to.
yeah mulero is great with dark ambience. I know haha i really like the house hat it gives me some really good vibes while being dark at the same time. but sure man i also like your stuff, I apreciate all inds of music if it makes me feel something. So the thing is ( and excuse my poor english) i've been producing for four years (learning most of all, but also getting to know myself musically) and i was curious about what people listen to outside of my city (apart of comercial and shitty EDM and so called ""techno"" (wich name has lost it's essence a little). I would love to create some sort of "new gender" using fusions of music i like (like jazz, Calypso, tribal music etc) while giving them my personal touch of course. so tell me what do you think :/

its club music, its very repetetive and minimal and gets the crowd into a hypnosis, then by bringing and taking out elements, you create tension, release and atmosphere drugs usually help you to get in the vibe its actually quite rhythmic and tribal in a way that feels natural to dance and move to its not about any sort of meaning though, its more an aesthetic and musical exploration rather than a meaningful thing so you shouldnt be looking for that in it you probably wouldnt be willing to do it, but if you went to a good techno/house club and took some mdma or something you would instantly get it, not that you need to take that to listen to it, but it opens a completely new realm

Used to be big in the scene back in the early 2000's, listening to sneak and others.
Cant really vibe with most of the new shit though. Its become way to commercial now with MoS and DJs like Mark Knight.
Here's a couple of tracks ive been pretty obsessed with lately though.
My favourites : tiNi, Nadja Lind, Allan Fitzpatirck, Matt Sassari, Paco Maroto
Jonathan Jackson
also it might be a good idea to watch boiler room sets you can get lost in the music and see it in a club environment and watch how the people react to the different parts of the music this is one of my favourites youtube.com/watch?v=VkiJGQidnic
I did take some Molly when I went to the festival. I only took one though and I guess it wasn't enough. I didn't feel anything. But, yeah, that's why it doesn't connect for me. But it's true, I've never been to a proper EDM club. I don't know where there is one around here though...
Oliver Long
where do you live? also if you didnt feel anything then it wasnt actual mdma you will know when you get good stuff
That= The repetitive, aesthetic elements of it. I connect to music through the emotional content of it and EDM generally has none, at least in my limited experience.

theres loads of good stuff in detroit theres a website called residentadvisor which lists all the good undeground club events, just pick your city and itll give you whatever is on in the next couple of weeks id highly suggest you go to this residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?805262 one of the biggest techno clubs is having a world tour for their 25th aniversary that is a huge lineup get some mdma if you want, you could most likely find some legit stuff there if you cant get it elsewhere

and no thats the 'techno interests me' mene lol

the only emotional content in EDM is to make people see they are partying (sort of like look there is a 4/4 beat with a low quality melody let's dance), but techno involves you with the music in a completely diffrent way, you become part of the music, like it get's inside you in a way you don't even understand. i don't know it's difficut for me to explain it so I guess this is all some mystical bullshit
