God awful.
Most of the album is a shit gospel rap album and the actual rap tracks, hes mimicking the features. In No Problems, he imitates lil wayne and its awful and in Mixtapes, he imitates young thug and yet again, awful. This album is tryna be a trap album and a gospel rap album all at the same time. All Night is a track about drinking and clubbing and talks about uber and stupid shit then the moment the track ends, How Great just starts yelling HOW GREAT IS GOD at you. Worst track sequence in rap since Poetic Justice's intro
It's a great album that Sup Forums and only Sup Forums is hating.
I love Chance but I agree that this album was a bit off. It was like a combination of Surf/Acid Rap/Gospel. But there are songs that I do like, there are also some I don't like and I didnt have that with Acid Rap. Some of the songs just don't flow correctly to me
>his album is tryna be a trap album and a gospel rap album all at the same time. All Night is a track about drinking and clubbing and talks about uber and stupid shit then the moment the track ends, How Great just starts yelling HOW GREAT IS GOD at you
So he's Kanye?
Acid Rap use to be one of my favourite albums so I feel your struggle. I went into this hoping the best and was just let down.
I hate Kanye and I hate this so probably.
7 out 10
Too much gospel, and the features were shit. Had a few good tracks and overall Chance's verses were okay.
I liked all we got, no problem, and mixtape, the rest are boring gospel tracks
Yeah, I don't really think of this as a rap album. Its more of a project like Surf to me. Not a lot of really good verses. I mean Acid Rap had tons.
5/10 super disappointed
feels like I'm surrounded by niggers in a church
What dumb fuck would wear a hat that says 3 on it
This
I like Kanye but his Christianity annoys me as well. It's obviously bullshit but he seems like he believes it. Like you could be a Christian in any way while simultaneously being a hedonistic narcissistic
chance the rapper
>Like you could be a Christian in any way while simultaneously being a hedonistic narcissistic
you could. it just means you're not a "good christian"
I listened to the official mix, not the shitty leak, and it only got me to a 6/10 up from 5/10 desu.
Really disappointing. Bad features, some of the songs are just plain old boring and evoke no emotion whatsoever. Not really any standout tracks but some of them are pretty likeable. I like Kanye but you can tell he had too much influence on this project.
Better in every way than The Life of Pablo
anyone got a DL link?
i dont like apple music and it's gone from datpiff
underwhelming. it feels like he picked out all his features to try and formulate a "breakout" album but all he did was alienate his fans. there are a few great tracks but it's like a 5/10 for me so far.
>you could. it just means you're not a "good christian"
he doesn't seem to be trying
DUDE NANANANA LMAO
ACH ACH ACH ACH
It dissapoints me and now I am sad. I expected so much.
BUT IS IT LEGIT THO
>Kanye couldn't deliver
>Flatbush Zombies couldn't deliver
>Drake couldn't deliver
>Chance couldn't deliver
Who will save hip-hop in 2016?

4.5/10
not very hard to do that.
TLOP 2.0
It was already saved last year.
lmao acid rap was garbage kiddie virgin rap and ya'll saying this is worse? dear god.
seconding this
eh
Mack La More
It feels like chance isn't really being himself on this and I'm disappointed. Couple of good tracks but it didn't have the fun, sincere vibe of Acid Rap or even Surf and the features don't groove with the songs. I don't think I will listen to any of these songs again
kill yourself my man
Drake has another project coming in the summer. He got a 2nd chance
Kendrick did back in march with some B-sides
this times infinity
I liked it. It's sweet, it's gentle, the production is smooth and layered and gospel/soul inspired, the features are all pretty solid and don't seem too out of place (never thought 2chainz, Thugger, Lil Boat, and Future would work on a Chance project) and don't over stay their welcome. My complaints would be that the tracks kinda melt together, but that might change after a couple more listens. Also, Chance's lyrics aren't really as quotable or fun as AR. Not saying they're shit on this, they've actually matured quite a bit, he's just consistently upbeat to the point where it gets redundant. I'd say low-mid 7 out of 10 atm.
>chance couldn't deliver
you're wrong
you're gonna regret these hasty opinions senpai
acid rap was a much more high energy album than this one
I was legit thinking it was garbage first time I heard coloring book
but yall sleeping
I aint even religious
but fuck me this shit slaps hard
and them features, like fuck me
if he had the features he wasted on surf, and put them on this as well, it'd be mixtape of the fucking decade
it's not exactly a 9/10
but it's gotta be aproached calmly, not with acid rap mk.2-tier hype.
>tl;dr
it's good, really good
would be better without kanye prod tho
I put all my hopes and dreams into that lil pink haired nigga, bless his nautical soul
Loved the gospel portions, but the project fell apart with certain weaker tracks, especially on the 2nd half of the album (it ended well though). I did really like 'Mixtape' with the trappers on it, but it probably should've been left off this tape. After the first half of it I was feeling a 7-7.5 range, but it's ultimately a 6 for me.
This is the worst trash going by hip hop to be ever created in the face of the earth
Is that mega link a better mix than the DatPiff one?
it's ok quality
this desu-fampai
4/10
has that annoying auto tune mumble bullshit
it surprises me that Sup Forums doesn't like this
i mean you guys love feels...this is deeply introspective and based on a trying past...
is the only thing you guys hate that he turns to God to "solve" problems? if anything the positivity and love on this album should make you guys wish you had what he had...faith. i know that's how I felt, and it seriously made me happy in the end.
