If you think this is better than Hail To The Thief could you explain why?

If you think this is better than Hail To The Thief could you explain why?

well desu HTTT had great tracks balanced with REALLY meh ones

this is just a bunch of mostly meh

No you fucking faggot, there are 9 other threads to bitch in if you want. Fuck off.

works a lot better as an album, HTTT feels like a greatest hits album, AMSP flows beautifully

which album's songs you prefer is up to you though

consistency, better production, daydreaming

easily. httt is only just better than the bends imo (so still really good but amsp is still better)

Httt is their best album, tough competition. But AMSP is terribly consistent and there's not a single bad track.

It's more cohesive, the songs are more interesting, and its themes and lyrics elicit more emotion from me

While HTTT had higher peaks, they inevitably came with valleys. Like said, AMSP flows way better then HTTT ever could.

Still think HTTT is better tho

What were HTTT's valleys?

>better production

The sounds, textures and arrangements are amazing, but the production itself is the worst Radiohead have ever had.
Poor balance in many places, Nigel must be losing his hearing in his old age.

burn the witch

This. The production was the only thing I didn't like about it.

Are you saying it's a bad track? Because I strongly disagree. It is a little inconsistent with the rest of the album though.

puncup at a wedding, i will,
agreed

>We Suck Young Blood
>The Glaoming
>A Punchup at a Wedding
>Myxomatosis

Shit, punchup, wsyb and the gloaming are so good.

I will sucks, yeah.

>wsyb
it's great for like 30 seconds

>Go to sleep
>gloaming
>back drifts
>sit down stand up(past the first 2 minutes)
To these people saying I will, please stop being wrong

Also a lot more mediocre songs than amsp

>Sail to The Moon
>There There
>Go to Sleep
>Wolf At the Door.

You realise by valleys, we're referring to the bad songs.

>Backdrifts
triggered
>Sail to the Moon
>There There
>A Wolf at the Door
ULTRA TRIGGERED

HTTT isn't that good, scaruffi gave it a 5/10 saying the only "good" tracks are Sit Down, Stand Up, and The Gloaming.

Scaruffi's opinion is shit.

My bad senpai.

Then:

We Suck Young Blood
Scatterbrain
I Will

>>We Suck Young Blood
>>The Glaoming
>>A Punchup at a Wedding
>>Myxomatosis
Wtf. Maybe WSYB. I'd also say I Will is a big lull on the album. Punchup and Myxomatosis are fucking classics though. Essential Radiohead songs.

...

You almost got it right, I will is the only valley on HTTT.

That's more like it. I Will really should have been left off the album.

This is certainly a minority opinion but I actually see HTTT's track listing in a positive light. It's chaotic like the songs and the sounds on the album. It's definitely not as pristine and well-packaged as Kid A or Amnesiac, but I consider that its greatest attribute. To quote Gollum: it's raw and wriggling. And that's how I like it; it's a bag of chaos.

AMSP falls somewhere in the middle of a finely-packaged album and that bag of chaos. It's by far their most emotionally transparent album, but it's also not a sob story. I don't really know where it falls in my personal ranking of Radiohead's discography, but I guess if I had to choose:

OKC = Amnesiac > KA = IR > HTTT > AMSP > TKOL = TB > PH

>TKOL = TB

Chaos in quality can't be a positive attribute.

AMSP is much better than HttT for multiple reasons. Mainly because its consistent and the songs are better.

>To quote Gollum: it's raw and wriggling.
Holy shit do people like you actually exist?

I know right? To put such a masterpiece down on the same level as some 90s Alt Rock boy band album is shameful.

I know you're being sarcastic but TKOL is top 5 radiohead easily

Didn't like The Present Tense

Kill yourselves

Only person who got it right is

I can't. AMSP is top 3 Radiohead but HTTT is best Radiohead.

Agreed, top four even, but I can only listen to it when I'm happy.

>Twice as many posts as posters
>lt's just OP samefagging and baiting horribIy

Wow OP thanks for showing us how to make a shit thread!

Kind of. But yeah TKOL is massively underrated.

then you're retarded

>Chaos in quality can't be a positive attribute.
Why not?

Only in terms of my personal enjoyment/appreciation of the albums. Don't get buttmad. I love both of those albums in their own way. Hell, I even love PH.

Fuck idk. I just associate that line with HTTT for some reason. I think it's apt regardless of potential faggotness.

You can't get heavy, man. Keep it light, keep it movin'.

Did anyone notice the song titles are in alphabetical order

Wow really?? That's amazing!!!

Dunno if it is meta but this album dies feel cohesive, orderly perhaps
