What genre of music, as a whole, do you beautiful bastards think of ice.
I tried chillstep and chillwave, but it just wasn't cold enough.
Much like Salsa makes you think of fire, and Celtic Folk is very earthy in tone. What would you say is an Icy music?

Berlin School. Check out Klaus Schulze's Irrlicht, or Tangerine Dream's Zeit. Those are both on the more ambient end of the spectrum of the genre, though. Those are their "spaciest" albums, I'd say.

a lot of the albums make explicit references to winter and winter related stuff
and the music itself is commonly very very tinny (lo-fi) and dissonant, both of which sap all of the warmth from the sound.
i mean more often than not the best description of a good bm riff is 'icy'
whatever crystal castles second album is. Some of the speedy fucking music ever imo, other than some kinda creepy ambient
