Tuk - Shallow Water Blackout
Hapshash & The Coloured Coat - Featuring The Human Host...
...
hi
I need to listen to Kingston Wall sometime. I see them sometimes lumped in the same category as Ozric Tentacles so you might enjoy the albums by them on my chart.
Nice Gentle Giant pick, you listened to any of their other albums yet?
Try Bo Hansson - Sagan om ringen
If there is a band you're guaranteed to love it's Kingston Wall. Start with II
and a little sample for you
youtube.com
made a new chart last night
I still need to add the pinkish purple background colour I use in my older charts though
hi, how are you
hi guys
>black up
listen to live at KEXP by shabazz. p good, def better than lese majesty. lots of people find it hard to expand beyond black up.
>liquid swords
aceyalone - a book of human language
it's the opposite but seriously give it a shot. it's a reaction against both g-funk AND wu tang. This album is really the crux of 90s rap.
try rock bottom dude
madame gag :3
Wait a sec, topsters.net is just bugged as fuck only for me? :((
Sure, there's some weird crap on there, but is that Louvin Brothers album worth a listen?
You seem like a prog-wizard, but try out Cathedral - Stain Glass Stories
youtube.com
I think it looks better with that black background, but it's less recognizable.

Novos Baianos - Acabou Chorare
>miles smiles
>orbits
I play that on trumpet in the morning sometimes. good wakeup call for everyone in my building :-)
Thanks for the recs as always
Kajo seems a little too dissonant for my mood right now but Opera is pretty lovely so far
Piano Magic - A Trick Of The Sea
Tetuzi Akiyama & Toshimaru Nakamura - Semi-Impressionism
Teiji Ito - King Ubu
I bet it feels so good to play a trumpet. Love to learn one someday.
orbits is easy to play dude just buy a cheap one. beat up old trumpets sound better anyway
I rec you all listen to tortoise.
Yeah I was just looking around after I posted that and was suprised how affordable they are. Why do beat up old ones sound better and should I get one over a decent new one?
sounds unique. if you have the money go for a new one I guess but honestly it doesn't make a difference.
I like p much all of your jazz picks.
Fugazi is neat
ATCQ is comfy af
I don't like tortoise so much
Bill Evans bores me
Listen to Blue Mitchell's The thing to do, Sam Jones's The Chant, Chet Baker's Chet's Choice, Cannonball's live stuff
+Ornette
>hi, how are you
feeling good
slept like 14 hours today lmao
>aceyalone - a book of human language
sure senpai, after i finish the essential hip-hop albums floating in my backlog
how is that davis live album? is it an original improv or a new look at some of his earlier music?
Topsters still hasn't worked recently so here's my shit chart. Recs would be appreciated.
Black Uhuruh - Red
Gandalf - s/t
>That Ka album
Capone-N-Noreaga - The War Report
Also try Chico Buarque and Tim Maia if you haven't already
This layout is freaking me out a bit, not gonna lie
live evil?
just listen to this whistle and decide for yourself dude: youtube.com
Thanks user
>layout is freaking me out
yeah lots of eyes there
You're welcome, senpai. Be sure to check 'The Chant', it blew my mind, i bet you'll love it.
thanks senpai you've made my summer
The Chant is dank af, what's your favorite song on it?
Really cool chart
Estradasphere - it's understood
Electric Prunes - Mass in D minor
What's your favourite track on the Nuggets compilation?
Heh Mother Death - Highway
They're a cool ambient dub/ spoken word duo, very atmospheric and cool and I wanna support them
Big Black - Atomizer
Also Blind Idiot God -s/t if you like the pop group
Meant to ask you about your opinion on roxy music a couple of threads ago but the reply fucked up. Also do you rate the Mars Volta? I like your taste
Anthony Philips - Wise after the Event
Yonin Bayashi - Golden Picnics (this one is great)9
This is one of my favourite charts on here
>Big Black - Atomizer
no shit
>Blind Idiot God -s/t
added to backlog
listen to BEAK> - >> or smthn idk
>what's your favorite song on it?
I wouldn't pick one since the album works so good played altogether, but if you want one so much, I'd say Four, Sonny Boy and Over The Rainbow interpretation... gorgeous
I rec Carrie & Lowell ~ Sufjan Stevens and Come, Now ~ Gregory and the Hawk for the both of you.
Ive still got a lot of catching up to do with prog actually, was only listening to a couple of bands for about a year or so before branching out, so I haven't heard much of Roxy or Mars Volta yet. Would you recc Deloused or Francis for a first time listener? Thanks for the reccs you already gave.
I listened to it awhile ago, but I dont remember it clicking with me. I should give it another listen.
>Nuggets compilation
what?
end my suffering and shit taste
I think the first side of Deloused is really awesome
I'm not actually that familiar with Francis...
But dude you have to listen to the first roxy music album. It's incredible - theres a heavy Court Of The Crimson King influence especially on the first track and If There Is Something and Virginia Plain will blow your socks off.
My nigga listen to this
>danse manatee on top 10
my nigga
you should hear hollinndagain, it's DM with all of its flaws fixed
correct swans album, wrong king crimson album
Try Mars - EP since you like swans s't
>le miles smiles
you need some don cherry desu
Don Cherry - Symphony For Improvisers
>end my suffering and shit taste
i can only end one, and its not the shit taste
This looks nice. I've only listened to Macha from this (don't remember liking it too much). Which ones you like best?
+cherry, residents, yeti, comus
Try Colin Walcott - Grazing dreams. It's another indojazz album that's nice.
+sabbath, sleep, spiderland
Egocentrics - Bright dawn, Domo - Nadi, Ape machine - war to head, and Kamni - ATOM are nice stoner albums.
Nice chart. +Blakey, silver, dolphy
I'd probably enjoy a lot of those but I'm not too good with jazz.
+Fire, Warraw, Necks
I take it you've looked at the other fire orchestra albums. Their live shows are awesome.
Listen to the Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
Cool you must like Incredible String Bnd
John Martyn - Bless the Weather
Pentangle - Sweet Child
Crime & the City Solution - Paradise Discotheque
Severed Heads - City Slab Horror
Tell me what to listen to
I like incredible string band. I don't like pentangle as much though. The rest I've never heard.
Also never listened to anything from your chart :/ Listen to Renbourn, Gaughan, or Sandy if you're into folk.
I'll give it a try. Thanks
Thanks my friend
Oh ok. Ive been intimidated by Pentangle bc i thought itd be lost on me, Gaughan seems like a good guy to dig into
Sometimes I save these charts and make an effort to listen to all the albums on them, when I'm bored and actively seeking out new music.
Is that frowned upon or what
I'd be flattered if you listened to mine
here have mine
Just made one.
Cool chart from what I've listened to, that being not much tho.
Check out Catherine Ribeiro and Alpes - Paix

PLEB COMING THROUGH, WORST TASTE ON Sup Forums LOOK OUT
looking to expand my knowledge of ambient, and also to find stuff similar to DOOM in sound
i'd rec some future to satisfy the dark hip hop vibes you've been going for lately, start with DS2 since that's his best work
might seem like a bit of an obvious question but have you tried much Wu-Tang solo stuff? There's some really good shit, try Liquid Swords for the gritty 36 Chambers sound or if you want something a bit close to ATCQ's work Sour Soul by Ghostface from last year is nice and jazzy without losing the Wu-Tang sound
Considering you like a whole lot of guitar-centred indie rock (Ride, Galaxie 500, Dinosaur Jr. etcetera) - have you heard of Broder Daniel? Créme de la créme of swedish indie rock. Very moody and angsty, but still.
If you love A Love Supreme then pretty much anything by Pharoah Sanders is a must, if you haven't heard him already. Start with his album Karma.
I recently found out about Japan's history of psychedelic rock - what a gold mine! Considering you like Hawkwind and Hendrix you oughta like White Heaven, Shinki Chen and also Acid Mothers Temple!
...
you into japanese psychedelic?
Try J.A Caesar - kokkyou junreika, jacks - vacant world, and bondage fruit
Old chart, but I haven't made a new one
>O Poan
nice
You might like Gauntlet Hair - s/t if you haven't heard it
Maybe try some steve roach
Thanks friend! Happen to have any recs for me? Either way, I appreciate the compliment haha
thank you very much!
