/IDM/ is for: >Discussion of IDM albums, songs, and artists, from well-known to unknown >Posting of IDM that you find remarkable in some way via Youtube, Soundcloud, or Bandcamp >Discovering new IDM
/IDM/ is not for: >Pointless arguments about the meaning of IDM
If you are confused about IDM, want to get into the genre, or don't know who the "big 4" are please see these artists:
>Aphex Twin >Autechre >Boards of Canada >Squarepusher
Get your ears round that with some decent headphones on. The coda will make you cum, guaranteed.

I need some recs for fresh IDM, aside from the big names in the genre.

Thanks for posting, I've been looking for this.
Very fuzzy and noisy for Autechre, but that just shows how their styles change so much. I loved it, it was so textured while having a throbbing bass in the back the whole time; reminds me of Chiastic Slide in the best of ways. It changes so subtly over the course of the track but enough to keep it interesting. However, it feels like a closing track.
Not heard of Dual Purpose before now, but it sounds like his sound from the get-go. Either way I like what I'm hearing.

Pic related is amazing. It took hearing Sui Shop for Mouse On Mars to click for me and suddenly Iaora Tahiti makes sense and doesn't feel like a waste of time either.
