Does anyone else fucking love Duster? They're literally all I've been listening to for about 3 months now. I can't get enough.
Where do I go outside of the main releases? I know they have a lot of unreleased stuff that's out there. Is On The Dodge the most obvious place to start?
Are there any chances of Stratosphere and CM being repressed? I don't want to go through discogs.
Wyatt Rogers
i would say that that is among the least likely things to ever happen
Juan Wright
what's the best drug to do while listening to duster?
Samuel Young
Why?
Parker Phillips
lack of demand
Easton Thompson
Jason Albertini's been pretty active in Built to Spill and Helvetia lately. Surely he must know about the recent influx of interest in Duster.
Jordan Harris
yeah but he's like the least relevant member of duster
Jace Price
Clay has apparently said no several times, though I don't even know if he owns the rights to do so. It would fall to whoever owns Up Records now.
Ouch. He's easily the most technically proficient on his instrument, not to mention the only one that returns more than two results on Google.
Brody Martin
yeah i just meant as far as directing what the band would do
Chase Flores
Yoooo!
What's everyone's favorite Duster song?
Gavin Young
Constellations gives me a nostalgic feeling of sneaking out of my house on a warm night, walking to my old elementary school and stargazing for a few hours.
Hudson Diaz
Topical Solution
Gavin Rivera
Echo, Bravo
Noah Cooper
WANT NO LIGHT TO SHINE.
Caleb Powell

Lucas Perez

Bentley Lee

Carter Cruz
Echo Bravo is such a banger
Luis Lewis
echo bravo for sure
Cooper King
I was the guy who compiled the /dust/ downloads page, and I just want to say that everyone should listen to all three Calm releases, the EP and both LP's. Not all of them are in the downloads atm, but I may add them later. They sound kind of like the missing link between Slint, Unwound and Duster. Really cool stuff, the ambient intros and outros on the LP are fantastic
Grayson Bailey
Seconding this. My favorite Duster side-project.
The S/T LP was recorded live during a thunderstorm, and you can heavy rain and huge thunderclaps throughout. Sounds phenomenal.
Ayden Green
We're getting a reunion, right?
Cameron Harris
The heart says yes, but the brain says no.
Brandon Sanders
:(
David Morgan
I remember when we had that huge Duster thread and some user talked to one of the members and they mentioned a reunion
Daniel Price
yeah but that was a few months ago i think
you can always dream i suppose
Brandon Harris
It's not fair, user. I just want Duster to give me nostalgia feels in person
Matthew Foster
Written by Clay himself.
Benjamin Hernandez
Does anyone have a high-quality photo of the Duster logo?
Sebastian Barnes
o shit
Sebastian Miller
Yeah, I started that thread.
For clarity, some guy said another guy said that Jason said that Duster were talking about playing together again.
All three of them probably work, and are involved in small, just-for-fun projects with friends on the side. (Minus Jason, who tours with some bigger names.) Coupled with the fact that they're in their 40's and have families, I'm not holding my breath.
I don't doubt that they still talk though. They're friends on Facebook, for one.
Okay, had not seen this before. Probably talking extremely hypothetically.
Christopher Jenkins
The font is Futura Light, which I got free from some website. If you just type "duster" and maybe stretch it a tiny, tiny amount, it's identical.
Brody Richardson

Dylan Carter
lol
Zachary Russell
What are the titles of these LPs/EPs? I'm having a little trouble locating it because Calm is such a common band name.
Thank you. Only seeing vinyl rips of their stuff on What. Kind of crazy this stuff never made it to digital.
Brayden Edwards
I don't get it. Someone explain pls
All the songs sound the same and it's very drone-y (and not in a good way)
Easton Howard
Explain what? You didn't enjoy it, it happens.
Gavin Lewis
people who love duster are my favorite group of people in the world. i've never met a more chill, agreeable, and otherwise non-egotistic group.
Landon Martin
Someone said it's because Duster fans smoke copious amounts of weed, but I've never been high in my life.
Luke Ross
Stoners and sad people a good mix I suppose
Noah Sanchez
>put Stratosphere on >"but user, why all their song are always the same?"
Charles Brown
neither have i. but stratosphere would be what i listen to.
Cameron Collins
I love them, they have such a comfy (really no other word for it) atmosphere that not even the other slowcore bands can match. Just simple stuff done very well and uniquely. I love Stratosphere and CM about equally but have listened to Stratosphere more because I like the toaster-tier production. Valium Aggelein are great too, I'd almost say that the highs of Hier Kommt are higher than those from Duster albums.
Only one of their releases I wasn't crazy about was On the Air, they sounded very shaky in their performance.
Earth Moon Transit for me. Should have been the last song on the album, would have tied everything together since it's the closest thing they have to an explosive song.
Which of their side-projects are the best? I've downloaded the ones from the pastebin but haven't gotten around to listening yet
Thomas Harris
I like everything Helvetia has done, but their first two albums are their best (and most Duster-like).
Christian Green
Check out Two Boys Alright
Andrew Williams
The Phantom Facing Me
Landon Hill
holy shit i literally just opened mu for the first time in a month to post about this album, i'm stoked now. Has everyone listened to 1975? potentially their best
Lucas Fisher
rrrrr
Austin Martinez
I wish I could always post about Duster there was a 1975 vinyl posted on discogs yesterday for 100 USD which is already gone and i was never prepared to pay that. I really hope everything could get repressed.
Eli Torres
yeah i need some of their stuff on record, they've got that comfy sit-down-and-look-at-the-art vibe, like the Microphones
Cooper Ward
yes!
Jason Wood
1975 contains my favorite Duster song, and it's an astronomically underrated release.
Jose Roberts
Memphis Sophisticate, Heading For the Door and Echo Bravo probably tied 1st, Orbitron is a strong second
Colton Clark
which track?
Chase Taylor
I'm this dude. And Things (Are Mostly Ghosts) being just behind it.
Benjamin Rodriguez
The piano at the end of want no light to shine is so gorgeous, feels like being comfy in a car on a cold night Can i also just say that Memphis Sophisticate is one of the strangely composed songs ever, the melodies don't seem to even have a key some of the time yet they don't sound dissonant at all, its literally fucking amazing
Brody Murphy
Heading for the door
>IT'S THE WAY HOME SHOULD BE
I love on the air, though I admit they were pretty shaky. Helvetia is great and I highly suggest you listen to them
Bentley Myers
On The Air is great you guys. I Am The King is one of their best songs, and that's the only recording in existence.
Kayden Howard
the landing
Jordan Edwards
I have their entire discography on vinyl, and I was able to track them all down for less than $100. You just have to keep a lookout on all the usual websites, it's just the wait that's agonizing.

anyone who likes Duster should check out Southpacific.
