>Weeb shit must go
the one thing I'll agree with Montie on
i need more albums like this

What do you guys think of the new Posture & The Grizzly album?

decided to give this ep a listen for once since everyone usually posts it
at first i thought it would be lame but its actually great, cant believe i didnt listen to it sooner
tfw snowing did a reunion show in your city like a month ago but it sold out before you found out about it
how do i live with myself
>two grown ups on bandcamp
>no download
woow. cool song though, i dig.
youtube.com
thoughts on the above? also any similar stuff would be cool.
tfw could have surfed that big sweaty crowd
How many of you fags are on NDE on facebook posting memes? cringe
you should listen to some sad music
what do you guys think about snowings lp? personally i didn't really like it, maybe becasue my vinyl copy was fucked so it ruined the experience.
ep is 10/10 but i can't feel the same at all about the lp
I've never been to an emoe concert, or a concert in general. the idea of crowds always was unappealing to me, but these kinds of small venues looks so intimate and fun
maybe someday
truly one of the best eps in history
lp is good. it doesn't have the same immediacy as FYEB and the songwriting isn't quite as strong, but there are still some real bangers.
do it desu. find a house show or something
there are some really great songs on it,
what is that

thx senpai, "summertime! fun with friends!" is one of my favorite songs
also thought i would leave this snowing discography link here in case anyone needs it
www18.zippyshare.com
where do you even find out about small shows like that
hello friends
pinegrove - cardinal is the first 'emo' i've listened to in a while and actually enjoyed, what else would I like?
if you don't have friends "in the scene," it can be a little hard.
i would suggest following some local bands on facebook or twitter, they usually post about their shows.
alternatively, people in some cities maintain pretty good underground show calenders. like this is the portland, OR one that i used to find out about shows when i lived there: pc-pdx.com
maybe some ""emo""
pinegrove isn't emo, sure it has some influences but it's far from it, you might enjoy built to spill (also not emo)
yeah user its literally the best thing to come out of emo revival imo.
snowing best band desu
LP took me a while to appreciate jsut because of of how great the ep is
in the end the LP is just as good for me where every song fucking destroys me and is perfect
why do people hate this album so much? sure it's not as good as s/t, but it's still a good album. this must be how and ancient star seed are excellent tracks.
well lets not bash that user, guys!
pinegrove may not be full on emo but theyre very big in the emo scene
check out Sioux Falls (came out w a great album this year)
check out Sorority Noise, Animal Flag, and Everyone Everywhere, user
welcome to emo sorry for the negativity
>theyre very big in the emo scene
why emo is dead
>check out Sorority Noise, Animal Flag, and Everyone Everywhere, user
all bad
>welcome to emo sorry for the negativity
>not liking negativland
word, part of why i like this general is bc it's usually pretty positive
user, you may like pic related. also not really ""emo"" but emo-influenced and fun
>welcome to emo sorry for the negativity
but
i wasn't being negative, was just stating that pinegrove isn't exactly emo, i think that user might enjoy indie rock artists with a bit of emo influences and not the emo genre itself.
but anyway, to that user, try listening to:
into it. over it
camp cope
cllctyrslf
estranged husbands (maybe)
im not disagreeing with you but itd be cool if we had a discussion about the influx of a more indie sound in emo with the likes of most of the bands i mentioned, besides EE.
Everyone Everywhere is p good imo. i can respect you for not liking the others but cmon user
yeah, got carried away a bit, apologies
the new IIOI has grown on me a bit. really liking the production on Standards too
>itd be cool if we had a discussion about the influx of a more indie sound in emo with the likes of most of the bands i mentioned
disagree
this desuu
i don't really like any of those artists, just remember them from listening to their releases (most of them i've found on bandcamp), i feel like there hasn't been any artists that have released a "true" emo (one that stuck to the roots of the genre) album in a few years, most of the new releases all sound like either recycled material or going more towards the indie rock genre.
>itd be cool if we had a discussion about the influx of a more indie sound in emo with the likes of most of the bands i mentioned, besides EE.
ew no
*coughs*
youtube.com
this sounds like pure 90s emo
you just have to look past the shit bands that are currently popular in the shit emo "scene"
this is great, thanks! the thing is that it gets tiring searching through the emo bandcamp tag releases and most of them being either indie rock or pop punk bands. hard to find some gems in the midst of all that. i still think that emo is slowly dying.
also from 2014:
youtube.com
youtube.com
sorry i meant in terms of whether its good or bad.
i dont support it but i find it interesting that emo bands are slowly taking over indie rock
So lonely lads.
YES! I'm digging it so much so far. I like it more than there last album, and maybe even as much if not more than their first.
yeah human hands is p good
they also just did aa split with the blue period that was cool
theblueperiod.bandcamp.com
emo is confirmed dead when nouns release there 3rd album and then break up :^)
i wouldnt say emo is taking over indie rock
though it might seem strange
aaaaangels called my name
Hey everyone not sure if anyone is into Japanese emo, but in the spirit of /emoe/, here are some bandcamp links.
watersliderecords.bandcamp.com
Think snowing -- but Japanese.
watersliderecords.bandcamp.com
Think algernon -- but Japanese.
What I really dig about these two bands are that they emulate very well the American (philly) scene unlike most Japanese emo bands. Malegoat does it very well, but I've listened to a decent amount of Japanese emo and the vocals are always very "pop-y" or "clean". It's not always a bad thing, but totally refreshing to hear these more visceral vocals. It's more in the spirit of the people who clearly inspire them.
yeah japanese emo is good
the cabs are the best
seriously listen to this is you havent
The Cabs - 再生の風景(2013)
>emo, mathrock, screamo
Dl : mega.nz
heres some more good japstuff
youtube.com
youtube.com
will listen to that band
>someone mentioning the cabs
I'm looking for gay and girly emo, like flowers taped to pens.
husker du
that's some seriously good shit right there. I've been aware of them for a while now and they're definitely in the same vein as flowers taped to pens.
I wish I could like this band, but the lead singer is fat.
go to bed metaldiscussor
OMG STOP RECOGNIZING ME WHEN I POST! How many times have you pointed me out?
yeah father figure is great
if you havent heard this then hear it ok
youtube.com
also listen to this for mor screeching skramz
and dont make fun of adam
literally the first time
its hard not to recognize you though
why? because I'm the only one who likes the cherry icees and flowers taped to pens and always asks in vain for artists similar to them? I'm not impressed.
have you listened to meryl streaker i think they may be better than fttp
no, I'll check them out. I don't think anything will ever match the sheer amount of spine chilling I experience when listening to flowers taped to pens. these guys have a pretty similar sound though, if not a bit more despair in their sound.
well its 75% of fttp so
listen to this album already fuck
why does modern baseball get to be memestream
all the shittiest emo bands are somehow the most popular good album btw
modern baseball bragged about how many shekels they got from that album that charted like 2 years ago when i stayed at their giant house. that's all they talked about. fuck.
youtube.com
any thoughts?
>crywank
kinda cool take on that song
its ok
gives the lyrics a new meaning.
What's so shit about the new Modern Baseball again?
treaty of versailles > spirit of versailles
Is there any midwest emo and noise rock crossover, they're my favorite genres and it'd be pretty cool desu senpai
are modern baseball cunts? I heard rumors from a friend that they were unpleasant people.
It's mainstream so i hate it and the lead singer is a fucking fatass
t. emoe
palace tho
yes see below
hello modern baseball
I know that 一番はじめの出来事 is an ep but it feels a bit more stronger than regenerative landscape imo. Both are really good.
youtube.com
What do you think of kocorono?
The crescendo in please don't cry never gets old.
everything
youtube.com
But i actually don't like modern baseball
when their album came out, actually this was like over a fucking month after... the guy made it 'rain' at his house and lit three blunts at once. they kept mentioning how much money they're raking in. it was embarrassing as fuck to stay there tbqh.
they mentioned how their fans are stupid kids at least, that was pretty real. but yeah i'm 99% sure they're just in it for the money at this point.
the most generic and bland uninspired pop punk/indie rock that has been done to death a million times. cringe tier lyrics. terrible vocals
that's a bummer. they played at my house in 2013 after sports came out and i hung out with them for a bit and thought they were nice dudes, but i guess it's possible that a little success could've gone to their heads.
>palace tho
?
>i'm 99% sure they're just in it for the money at this point.
no way
they were nice to us, just really braggadocios and it made everything awkward. i don't think they're giant douchebags as people or anything.
