what would be your most desired job within tech?
you might not like how it looks, but it makes absolutely no difference. It's not like it's resonating or something.
what's the exhibition about?

Tannoy Reveal monitors
Bryston amp
Sub my dad made which is decent
Entry level record player, audio technica.

A friend showed me No Joy the other day so listening to them atm.

Headphone wise I have akg k12p's that I plug into an oppo dac. It makes it sound a bit better I reckon but ultimately it's a good head phone amp as the cans are mixed low. Pretty happy with my audio set up for awhile, maybe get a new sub next.

might have to consider getting a pair of headphones as well. Because since I moved into my apartment (used to live in a student house) I've noticed I've started listening less bass-heavy music, which I used to adore.

get haircut, band practice, sit around and read a book

They're the supernova series 5, can't complain. They're nothing special but definitely get the job done. Got them for 50 bucks

Nice, from what I've read they are a bit lacking in the low and high ranges, but they're a great bang for you buck nonetheless.

Actually they sound pretty good over all when listening at normal levels, but when you start cranking the volume the lower ranges do start to sound a bit lackluster.

bump

Listening to a remix I'm doing for a Chicago-based noise artist named Arvo Zylo
Got a couple of Rokit 5's and an M-Audio SBX sub running through an Alesis Multimix 8, though usually I listen to music on whatever speakers I have available, which are generally computer speakers or headphones
Drinking coffee that I made with breakfast this morning
I'm going to make some progress on this mix and maybe find some motivation to get up and go outside since music and sunshine alleviate depression

So small and yet so loud and open those rokit 5's. Do you use them for production mostly or also for listening?

Mostly production. The setup feels kind of busy for casual audio listening sometimes. Also, I don't have anything in this room for dampening sound yet, so there are a lot of reflections.

I'm looking to pick up a AT LP-120 because it appears to be the best turn table within my budget. Does anyone have anything nice or mean to say about it?

>AT LP-120
Why this?

It's frequently recommended as a start up turntable. I have no way of knowing if this is the truth or not, but the reviews I've read seem to suggest that this is the case. I'm aware that they have a somewhat high defect ratio out of the box which leaves me suspicious.

It also happens to be on sale at a local store. I don't want to act on impulse if it isn't worth it.

You'd probably be better off with it than without it then, hm? Reviews on it don't seem bad at all.

I'm going to do more research, I appreciate the encouragement.
