>Our March cover star says the genre's beats range from 152-160bpm, showcased last night as he was joined on Rinse FM by Grandmixxer and a few MCs for a 40-minute set, with jungle, grime and drum 'n' bass being influences.

...

>Grime
>Garage
>Jungle
>Dubstep
>Ruff Sound

When will these fake "genres" end? It's all just hip-hop anyway because you fucking put rappers over the top when you dj this shit.

>Grime
>Jungle
>Dubstep

But these are all real genres.

novelist has been nothing but hype since he was on that first mumdance track

shit-tier mc
for noisey and factmag readers only

>every genre ever
>its all just music anyway stop making fake genres when its all music anyway?

whatever the fuck this is that was awesome

Which is all just Jamaican music

Kanye is American reggae

And yet they all sound like hip-hop because their "proper club setting" you have to have MCs and rappers over the music.

Nothing more than glorified hip-hop beats musically speaking.

*reggae beats

It sounds like if boards of canada did grime beats

except there are plenty of djs/clubs that play all those genres without mcs

>tfw you speed up grime riddims, leaving no space for the MC
>tfw any sound with tone is higher pitched than normal

No you speed it up so it takes more skill to become an MC in the genre

Made some Ruff Sound songs real quick.

so its just instrumental hip hop then

What does it take
To be a Ruff Sound MC?
Personality
Originality
On a microphone
They got to be (yeah!)

You mean dub.

You forgot energy and flava

no they are all completely different genres of music

you are just too much of a dumb pardner to tell the difference

k

This sort of thing's already been done.

No, this beat is just grime speeded up, leaving no room for the MC and also all sounds with tone have a higher pitch than normal.

his 1 sec EP was good, but honestly I've been disappointed by him ever since. The freestyle posted in OP was good imo because of the beat. His beats just haven't been good recently, so hopefully this new direction works better for him
