legitimately sad

There's no record of when it was released, actually, but May 16 is the most argued date (and the earliest).

People just use Freak Out as a reference point since they know it came out weeks before that, which will also be 50 this year.

Have you heard Nowa Aleksandria? Sviđa mi se da ti ne bude prijatno?

Can't slep :/

I can die happy now

aye

New Die Antwoord singles, with a kind of tacky dub reggae vibe. I guess this does not bode well for Watty starting that new band.

That's what I get for asking people's favorite trips

Nothing

yo manfish, do i have to hear everything before 98.12.28? which albums can I skip?

>Actually enjoyed Memesical Abortions

Have I ascended to the avant dimension?

Does he not remember it or is he trying to refuse it?

Wow these are better than donker mag, and they're from an upcoming mixtape, so maybe the new album will be good.
It at least sounds like waddy figured out being lazy doesn't work
IT DOESN'T SUIT YOU TO NOT THINK

No you don't HAVE to, but you should at least hear Long Season, Uchu Nippon Setagaya, Kuchu Camp, and ゆらめき in the Air (single) are absolute musts. I would also suggest hearing the 8月の現状 live album before, but it's not as necessary as the others. I would say if you're anxious to try out 98.12.28 (as you should be) go ahead and do so, but then do the rest of their discography at your leisure, then go back and revisit 98.12.28.

The reason I say to do it last is because 98.12.28 is the logical conclusion of Fishmans. It is the best versions of their best songs. It's a testament about their progression as a band.

Doing it last after hearing everything is the best way imo, but you don't HAVE to. I just say so since they have at least one song from every album + a couple singles outside albums and in live albums. It gives the best perspective on their discography.

My suggestion (assuming you've heard nothing) do Long Season -> Uchu Nippon Setagaya -> Kuchu Camp -> ゆらめき in the Air -> 98.12.28 -> The rest of their discography at your leisure -> revisit 98.12.28

shit.

Which post specifically did you in?

no, it means you have good taste. This is why I didn't like it.

>It at least sounds like waddy figured out being lazy doesn't work
Did you listen to his rapping on the second track?

I still wonder how much sdc actually likes it

youtube.com/watch?v=WE8vPvIoyJo

"Once it's in your blood, you won't be the same no more."

completely justified tbqhwy

I started one of those "who is your favorite and least favorite tripcode user" threads because I think they're funny but nobody makes them anymore since you get banned if you do it

Still better than "raging zef boner"
He's having fun still, but at least it's less bad
And the other song was at least better than 75% of donker mag.
I can't believe this has me optimistic.
I miss max normal
Look up "evil body snatchers", the quality level of that song compared to donker mag is absurd

I mean, you're absolutely right, but I'm still gonna be surprised and slightly offended by how the rules apply to me

And when i said which were my favorite trips i get answers saying i'm one fo those trips. ffs, why don't people believe i like other trips? I've always liked them.

I'm only a Sup Forums user since January 2016. No, i'm not in high school. I've known about Sup Forums for years and years, i just never really cared.

People who have RYM subscriptions: does anyone else notice people always overrate a song if it's the first or last on the album?

Do people just end up mixing their albums with their favorites towards the beginnings and ends, thus making the better songs naturally in those positions, or are people just more drawn towards/pay more attention to what they hear first and last? Genuinely curious if anyone else has noticed this.

It is a mystery.

A lot of albums lead with a single or best track, so I don't know if I would call it overrating.

I've noticed this, and I'd say it's a mix of both. That leaves the best impression. Most people aren't paying as much attention towards the middle as they are towards the beginning and end, so if you put your best song smack in the middle, it'll often get overlooked.

Artists tend to stack albums with a good opener and closer to catch yor attention and leave you with a high note.
This is especially important in our instant gratification generation; can you think of a recent album whose first and last songs were below average on the context of the album, or failed to make an impact?

I think there are bands who do it on purpose, like Fugazi.
But yes, i think you're right. The same thing happens in painting or pictures in general. The regular composition always feautures the main thing on the right side, because that's where most people will look first. Pic related

NOOOOOOO

/daily/ still being a thing one year from now

did you ever expect it becoming such a big meme

MEINT IHR NICHT
prepare your bumhole boi

pet sounds is a 7
wilson's lyrics are so cringey I'm really not sure why it's so praised so highly.

I'mma check out that Uchu Nippon next, prepare your gills fishy

Is Helter Stupid a good place to start for Negativland?
Actually I don't give a fuck I'm doing it anyway.

I did everything I could to make it such a big meme so ye.

Instead of doing all the stuff I probably should have done today, I instead played Demon's Souls and listened to Meshuggah.

I am really really liking these. Laid-back and slow Watkin is pretty good, it seems.

I still watch the threads sometimes I just haven't been listening to music lately really. mostly been reading and studying

Jesse Sykes & the Sweet Hereafter - Reckless Burning (2002)
>alt-country, singer/songwriter, americana

Sparse and sad alt-country, very reminiscent of Cowboy Junkies. Sykes' voice is incredible, and the songs are composed and performed well, but its singular theme runs its course by around the 6th track. Still an enjoyably melancholic listen.

3.0

i keep getting a big urge to listen to escape from noise everyday, it's become quite an addicting album to listen to.

by the way this chart is still going, what next?

happy bday bb

tfw you're having Chilean Sea Bass with a glass of White Rhone while Carl Wilson sings a few feet from you.

youtube.com/watch?v=yAAKG-hKdhM

Your mixtape is really good, I especially like the opener and closer. I listen to it when skateboarding or at the beach, it's a major comfy summer so far thanks in part to you
Your haircut is good also

red hash

In re-listening to the entire Radiohead discography in preparation for the new album, I've found myself constantly coming back to this.
Honestly, I think it is better than OKC in most respects, and is only inferior to Kid A because I'm a complete sucker for the miserable/claustrophobic atmosphere.
Also, TKOL isn't nearly as bad as I thought initially.

Oh shit daily i forgot about my callendar and reviews. So, here are some short reviews.
>Paul Schütze - Apart
Mediocre/bad Jazz ambient. At points it feels uninspired, at others it just copies other artists. Goddamn i got quite mad at that 2nd track , it felt like a truly watered Down Tangerine Dream. If i'm going to listen to ambient jazz i check Boheren & der Gore Club or The Killimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, but not this turd. Not even worth a 2nd listen
Final score: 3/10

>Die Like a Dog - Aoyama Crows
Holy shit why do people ignore this Quartet this is fucking great i loved it. Kondo killed it with his trumpet, i can't believe you can make such nice trumpet. William Parker is an amazing bassist he makes such interesting melodies. But being honest, the 2 best playera here are Hamid Drake and Brotzmann. Peter is a fucking magician and Hamid is Mind blowing. Overall, amazing Free Jazz record
Final Score: strong 8/10

NEW SCHEDULE:
>Tomorrow: Seiko Oomori - Tokyo Black Hole
>Wednesday: Shiina Ringo - Semen coffee (can't remember the name)
>Thursday: Loops and Dots
>Friday: Animal Collective - Feels
>Saturday: Revolutionary Chinese Orchestra - V1.28
>Sunday
If rejected
>David Murray Quartet - A Sanctuary Within
If nothing happens / get the Girl
>The Spent Poets - s/t

Fire Engines - Lubricate Your Living Room (1980)
>post-punk, art punk

Short little bursts of energetic and anxious post-punk with some scratchy and atonal guitar work. The guitar work is the best thing here, the rest is just kinda standard Devo-ish post-punk. A lot of stuff that doesn't impress or astound that much, but it does a lot to entertain. Well, "Discord" is wonderful, but other than that it's not that insanely impressive. Still solid though.

2.5+

>did you skip over mine or have you already listened to it?
