>Europeans will defend this
Second most popular religion by country
Other urls found in this thread:
Well there aren't many Jews here because of reasons and asians are rare so there aren't many other options
We are zen as fuck
>Mexico
>Buddhism
How?
>American banter
italy is 91% christian and 2% muslim, my dead sharter friend.
i can't defend france and germany tho
>Japans second most popular religion is Shinto
I will bet they had a small group of hippies start worshipping it, and since all Mexico is Christian, it technically made Buddhism the number 2.
meant to say dear*
it's a fad
Our new age hipsters and we basically only accept Asian migration from Japan, Korean and China.
Reminder that if your country's second most popular religion isn't judaism, your country is pretty much doomed.
*oh, and Christian Arabs
>Argentina
what happened bros?
Nah, we've almost the same amount of Jews as Buddhists, an FTA with Israel and close military cooperation and we don't recognize Palestine, we are good.
hmm... really makes you think
They go overboard in wanting to be like Europe
In Canada
67.3% are Christian with Catholicism being the largest denomination
23.9% are atheist/agnostic
3.2% are Muslim
Anyone else notice that OP got 666 digits for a religion thread?
I second the question.
Thought they had far more jews than muslims.
hello my good christian brothers :)
What's wrong with that?
It's incorrect
Turkey literally used to be the capital of Christianity. Back in Ottoman Empire days, Istanbul was like 1/3rd Christian, 1/3rd Jew and 1/3rd Muslim.
Most Japanese people practice a blend of Shinto-Buddhism. I would say the majority say they're Buddhists before they say their Shintoist but to them there isn't really a difference. idk probably a meme map.
the sultans did'nt kill christians because they did not want christian unity my friend thats the Mehmet the Conquerer didnt abolish the orthodox church in istanbul
It's very syncretic, yes. But the vast majority participate in shinto festivals, and actively take part in rituals. Ritual is the main way to practice Shintoism. The reason people say they aren't Shinto, is because they define belonging to Shinto as belongin to a specific sect, which many aren't.
Shinto is like the Church of England of Japan. It's basically main-line Buddhism with a bit of nationalism sprinkled in.
>implying fedorism isn't de-facto #1 here
So we should be red
It's not basically Buddhism. Buddhists don't believe in a God/Spirit for one. In addition, not many japanese people believe in reincarnation, but rather some sort of heaven. Shinto is pretty evident in the way weddings occur, how people honour the dead, festivals, as well as stages in your life. All of these rituals are how Shinto is practiced
Ost-Deutschland, is that you?
Nah, South-West actually. While on paper still part of some church, most below 60 I'd say are agnostic (hell even my grandpa at age 73 is, he was never part of any church nominally either)
Even kebabs have their weird semi-thing. They'll usually follow Ramadan and pork-avoidance, but do drink and don't really pray 5x/day
wtf i love moldova now
Bullshit map
There are less muslims here than jews and folk religion is very big here and accepted
shinto is nothing like buddhism but a characteristic of shinto is that it works in tandem with ANY religion. There are lots of japanese christian converts who hang a cross next to the family shrine.
how can christianity even exist in all those arab countries?
>99.99% muslims
>0.01% christians
Christianity as the second most popular religion confirmed.
makes sense i guess
