It scratches that neo-80s nu-disco itch perfectly imo. I love this album.

Great pop album

shit, mostly filler with a couple of alright tracks imo

8/10

8/10 - really impressive production that sounds modern while being a homage to the 80s. It's not as cohesive as Psychic Charms though, so I don't consider it Neon Indian at their prime.

>that amazing melody at the end of The Glitzy Hive

I wasn't fucking ready.

I recently ordered the limited edition vinyl.

Glitzy Hive is probably the best song on the album.

I really enjoy their discography. Alan is definitely a cool cat.

his best album

real fun album. really like the swooping/turning synths on street level

oh, if anyone has the vinyl, it's a 45 but playing at 33 sounds pretty cool.

I loved it. Perfect driving music.

fucking awesome
its my jam

great album

i play tracks from this at parties and normie friends love it

I refuse to ever listen to it.

DEAR SKORPIO MAGAZINE

WE MADE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYES

WE MADE EEEEEEEEEEEEYES

i didnt like it as much as neon indian's previous albums but it was alright

why

one of the better albums from last year
live from the sun sounds like such a prince track (not a bad thing)!!

It is quite good. My favourite track was the opener. Far from the best album of the year but still quite good, I'd say 7.5/10

Smut! is great. Towards the end, there's a synth bit that sounds exactly like Plantasia.

I thought it was pretty good, but agree with the previous poster about it vs Psychic Chasms. Also you can tell he is self conscious of his voice (or it seems like it) because it's so low on every one of the songs. I know that's a chillwave aesthetic, but it was apparent on almost all of the songs and it was not that way on his previous albums. Also the drum production was not as impressive although every other sonic ingredient was a lot more polished.

the thing that annoys me is that the synths and production are fucking stellar, really gorgeous sound stage

but every song is basically the same, great for the first few listens but absolutely no staying value

i agree, only listened to it like 4 times before getting bored

a masterwork of pop music. thats about it.
