I don't have it in me to toss around racial slurs, can I just call you a weeb and be done with it?
Do you like the sound of someone dicking around with a guitar and making screeching, grinding noise? Try Pat Metheny - Zero Tolerance for Silence
weeb is a racial slur silly
life is boring me
I need to try something new but idk what
have you tried Camel - Mirage
deeeaaaaatthhhhhhhh
You must reply to this post with a recommendation, or you will be anally violated by Suge Knight

Topsters is dead
long live MS Paint
hard to tell. are you feeling the charm of their most popular tracks like Blitzkrieg Bop and Sheena Is a Punk Rocker? the tongue-in-cheek immaturity and imbecility, the high energy, the uncompromising simplicity? frankly not much to expect from their albums but more of that, i for one just can't get enough of it.
i imagine you could really like The Soft Boys, but it looks like you know your Scaruffi so chances are you already gave them a try.
TOPSTERS IS DEAD

Still looking for Solo Violin Improvisation-related recs, just not the Charolette Moorman comp.
>down to having fuckin eastman and bradfield in the same top ten lol
I genuinely immensely enjoy both. Admittedly I discovered both in AntiWarhol's five stars on RYM though.
>including me, always had enough self awareness to avoid becoming *exactly* a cliche
God forbid I enjoy weird music that others do or the Spanish Inquisition will find me and call me names on the internet
Probably not. They're hugely influential, but consequently very dated-sounding. Give Rocket to Russia a shot if anything, though. It's got a lot of their best songs. If you want more influential punk with a bit more character, try Minor Threat, Bad Brains, or (a personal favorite) The Urinals.
No kidding
>Simon Finn - Pass the Distance
>how pleb am i
Honestly not at all
Based on Music for 18 Musicians, you'd probably like either Terry Riley's In C or the Julius Eastman comp. Both take a similarly fun and layered approach to long-form minimalist compositions. Also, based on all the AC and Pink Floyd, have you listened to Piper at the Gates of Dawn? And with all the Brian Eno, you'd probably enjoy Jon Hassell.
mufags will call you a pleb since all your albums are well known and critically acclaimed
you have great taste though
sup poseur
dude can i be friends with you pls
thank you
I've listened to and appreciated PATGAD, stuff like interstellar Overdrive and Astronomy Domine is amazing. Hassell and Riley are great too. I'm having a hard time recommending you something since i haven't heard much on your chart. Check out Monster Movie by Can
Tell me your adress and i'll come over
Sup nerd
Already heard Monster Movie. I far prefer Damo Suzuki-era Can, but oh well. Don't sweat it, btw.
you seemed to like dissonant, guitar-driven experimental stuff based on TMR and VU, and Monster Movie is pretty close to that. You've probably heard that too but Here Come The Warm Jets by Eno has some incredibly noisy and fantastic moments on it, mostly created by Fripp's genius instrumentation. Other than that i don't know
...
>you seemed to like dissonant, guitar-driven experimental stuff
Nailed it. I'll check out Warm Jets
It's an extremely diverse album, there's some proto-ambient and more conventional art pop in there as well but i think you'll like it
[2]
been interested in checking out that record for a while because of bardo pond's fantastic cover of one of the tracks from hcwj. i stereotyped eno as just an ambient guy so i thought bardo pond was putting a kinda noise pop spin to it but was surprised to find it wasn't much different from the original
You could try Charlotte Hug - Slipway to Galaxies (Solo Viola & Voice) or Joëlle Léandre & India Cooke - Journey, I can't check your RYM atm so Idk if you've heard them.
That's about all I could recc you Viola/Violin wise
Up-Tight - The Beginning of the End
Skeptics - Skeptics III
thanks man
>Up-Tight
i was just going to listen to their early years record later today, should i drop that for your rec instead?
...
Early Years is the better one overall, I just don't like reccing the same record over and over when I recc the same band. So I guess, just don't pay attention to that recc. :s
bump
God, Bardo Pond is so fucking good. I really enjoyed their recent collaboration with Acid Mothers Temple and Guru Guru.
Check out early Ween and Chui Wan
Crocodiles- Sleep Forever
Dumbo Gets Mad- Elephants at the Door
The Golden Dawn- Power Plant (Top tier 60's psych here m8)

Midnight Ride - Video 2000
Vangelis - China
Have you listened to Honeymoon by Lana Del Rey?
i'm vibing with your chart
i think we might be soulmates user
We should hang out and listen to Spiritualized on DXM
Wait my man
i'm not finding any Eno on your chart
you need to listen to Eno
I'll come over to your house with my Eno albums rn
I actually have to confess, I haven't listened to Eno in any significant way, is there an album or albums I should start with?
Start with Here Come the Warm JEts, if you didn't like that then continue to Taking Tiger Mountain and Another Green WOrld which are more ambient and more sentimental in sound. My favorite is Before And After Science, absolutely amazing record, actually probably my favorite of all time. So beautiful. They're all perfect.
If you liked that then try his ambient like Apollo and Discreet Music
Thanks, man
Are you ? If so, nice taste. I've been listening to that Soft Machine album a lot recently, it's good shit.
Do you have a last.fm?
Nice, I like Mac Demarco and Genesis
Don't like this one much. You like OK Computer, do you know the album The Bends? It's similar but better.
I know the album with the hands, did you know that band did another album called Hallelujah? It's probably my all time favourite album haha
your lastfm ?
I don't know how to scrobble I don't have one

Yeah, it keeps track of everything you listen to electronically and then stores all the data on your "profile". It's pretty neat to reflect on what you've listened to over time
