I think you're in the wrong thread.
Here you go.

How am I the first in this thread to realise it's just another ITAOTS joke?

It's obvious you sperg

>WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FACE I HAVE FOUND IN THIS PLACE

>WHAT A BEAUTFUL FACE

>referring to chords by specific key instead of harmonic function
just stop

Not necessarily, I-vi-IV-V is literally everywhere

Using "vi" to imply minor instead of just all capitals = pleb

Because you don't know how ubiquitous it is?

let me direct you to both
and

...but that's how it's supposed to work

Senpai pls

This is REALLY basic theory. Learn some, you lazy tripfag

hey shut the fuck up

Among bedroom guitarists talking on the internet? yes.

Among professional musicians? no.

my apologies, professional. how should a minor chord be denoted?

chord progressions really don't get better than lacrymosa desu

using "I" and "VI" instead of "T" and "Tp".

There's nothing *wrong* with using "vi", it's just only used online. I actually think it's a pretty good idea.

The VI chord in the major scale is naturally a minor chord. If you know the scale, you shouldn't have to say it is minor. If it is a minor chord that is usualy a major chord you could write it like "IV-m".

What if I'm using a non-diatonic chord, that fills the same harmonic function as a diatonic one?
Such as a minor plagal cadence (iv - I).

...

I-I'm sorry desu

i like the iron maiden one. y'know that one thats like duuuuuunn... dun dun duuuuuuuuuunn..... dun dun and you repeat.

ok

It's probably the one of the most popular progressions but itaots is the specter looming over it

but then it would be major
