Why people see in this album? i mean its not bad, but thats just a pop rock album

why people see in this album? i mean its not bad, but thats just a pop rock album

Explain

These songs are just a collection of cyberpunk bangers ready to turn the dancefloor into a fucking warzone

Dont reply to my thread ever again

I remember 2 years ago I said OKC was a pop rock album and everyone got super pissed at me over it

I wonder what happened to that outrage? Is it that hip hop plebs took the place of the rock plebs?

(I agree with OP I'm just confused)

people stopped taking the word "pop" as an insult

Because it sounded completely different to what any other alt rock band was making at the time, and made other bands copy the way it was made.

Also it was pretty much the transitional period from RH's early britpop/rock shit into a more unique band.

pop =/= bad

Beatles are pop as fuck and good as well

The Beatles were innovators in tape music and indian music in rock music.
Radiohead never innovated a single thing.

They don't have to innovate shit. The music is amazing.

They weren't innovative, but they were influential.

It's decent but not "amazing." Stereolab made more interesting shit 7 years prior.
Innovation is really the only thing that decides whether a band is great or not.

No

So was Nirvana.

How am I wrong?

fuckin stop me

Muse has a career because of OK Computer

And?

Nirvana were pretty good.

>Beatles innovated in tape music in rock music
>hasn't heard Freak Out!

i agree with your larger point, though

OK?
Nirvana were mediocre as fuck.

Within the span of like a few months there was Zappa, Wilson, and Lennon

You can't say one of them was first

More than ok computer, muse has career because of my iron lung ep and airbag how am i driving?

Serious question what is wrong with it being a pop rock album?

considering the amount of acclaim it gets quite a lot

>pop rock album?
>pop rock
>rock
there's your problem

because being a pop rock album doesn't make it innovate as everybody pretends here

because it's the first brit-pop album to sound like pink floyd

more like can, you know
that end of karma police
