Check that last sentence again. You need to add a "for". And you also need to drop a "t" in motte, så it becomes mote. As in the present. To meet = mote. Have met = motte.
Jeg vet ikke, men man moter ikke bare en kjæreste sånn plutselig. Man må gjore noe.

i just looked at the uio bokmålsordboka for infinitive form of 'get/recieve' and it said 'å motte' cuz i was trying to say "to get a girlfriend" not 'to meet a girlfriend'
do infinitives not work like that?
like for something more simple like "to eat is good" would it just be "å spiser er godt"? would it be godt or god? what gender are infinitives even???
also can u explain pic related. do den/denne just translate literall as that/this or is it less straightforward?
also how do genders work in a situation like that? like id imagine if i wanted to say "that is a nice house" id say "det er et fint hus" but what if i was just referring to a house with out actually naming it (like just point at it) would i have to bother saying "det er fint" or do people usually just default to common gender when theyre not actually naming the thing in the sentence and say "den er fin"
sorry practicing social cues
