Be me, working an internship at a large tech company

>Be me, working an internship at a large tech company.
>Boss likes me, most people there do.
>One day the stupid IT guy finds something on my laptop, tells everyone apparently.

Now my boss won't let me come on bring your child to work day. Why is my life like this?

Things that never happened

First of all, what was it? Lolicon?
Secondly, how did he get access to your (I assume) personal laptop?

Yes it was lolicon. Also there's a laptop I use at work. We use Google drive to share documents etc. I logged into it at home to work on something, forgetting I had the drive desktop app on my phone PC. Uploaded some of my photo folders on to drive. As I was getting some coffee at work my laptop was left open. I don't know why he did but he went on my laptop and discovered the images.

Well, I won't berate you for your mistakes, but I'm sure you won't repeat the same mistake again.
I doubt you will get a job in that company, though. You need to be careful from now on, bug tech companies talk to each other.

But I did nothing wrong tho. Also most of the kids were boys so it doesn't matter.

Okay now I know for sure that was a made up story.
Good day to you, user.

You did make mistakes though.

>forgetting I had the drive desktop app on my phone PC. Uploaded some of my photo folders on to drive.

>As I was getting some coffee at work my laptop was left open.

These two are big mistakes

you dun goofed, boss thinks you are a pedo, consider suicide or leaving the country

Those are innocent mistakes. I also really believe the photos are no grounds to not hire someone on. Couldn't I make a legal case?

Unless you want to make a free advertisement for that company and lose a ton of money, no.

Running an app that constantly uploads data to a third party on a company laptop without permission?

That's enough reason to not hire you.

Remember; under the current child porn laws in the US, people have been convicted for having cartoons.

>innocent mistakes

they are still mistakes. and as said don't run your own software on a company computer EVER.

The company laptops have Google drive desktop on them, I forgot it was installed on my desktop. When I temporarily logged into my work Gmail it backed up my personal shit to it and it doesn't make it obvious with a dialogue box popping up.

So you uploaded child porn to a company owned drive?

I'm surprised they didn't call the police.

>Ree why are they so upset over shotacon ree it's so unfair I swear I'm not a pedo ree why won't they let me look at children on bring your child to work day ree so unfair

Why are there so many pedophiles on Sup Forums? Fucking disgusting.

Ew..shota con..

It's not cp though.

>but it was a mistake!
Lose that childish teen attitude. You done goofed, you pay for it.

>Onii chan I'm legal!

Might not be real CP but this shit would get you fired ASAP where I work if you had animated Loli on a wok PC.

Dude should be thanking god he still has a job.

Yeah your not getting that job. Be thankful if they somehow let you finish out the internship.

Put yourself in your bosses shoes, what if you had an employee that has beastiality on his work PC?

yea but I'm a minority. This is the type of company that purposely tries to hire minorites to look nice. I can easily pull the race card and they'll give in. They've done it before.

Honestly I don't care what someone is as along as they can finish a job for me. So if everything is kept quiet I'm fine with it

>putting fishy shit on the laptop you bring to work
Retard. You put your shit on a USB and encrypt it. Then when you wanna shitpost all your files are on that and you can just plug it in real quick.

>It's not cp though.

The 2003 PROTECT act disagrees with you. It's not often used, since law enforcement has some discretion as to what they prioritize, but it classifies illustrated material the same as if it was a photograph of the same act.

The real question is if your boss can really stop you from coming to bring your child to work day.
Take him to court.

I am it guy and i seen many shit in workers and many shitty ideas they do.
But dude, you just took a cake.

It guy wasnt stupid he just realized how badly you hide your lolicon stash so he probably laughed like crazy and probably walked to workers he befriended and talked to tgem something like.
>Hey dude, you know user. He just hidden his little anime girls stash so badly i just seen it by accident. I still cant stop laughther with that advanced level of being retard, or i mean WEEBTARD.
And just this info jumped between people.

> >One day the stupid IT guy finds something on my laptop
You mean on you WORK laptop? Reconsider your life choices.

> it classifies illustrated material the same as if it was a photograph of the same act.
The problem is, depicted acts never existed in the first place.

suits you right you fucking de/g/enerate

I am a little paranoid about privacy especially when it comes to separating work from personal life; politics in particular.
I'd rather focus on work and maintain a professional image.

I would never bring in personal devices to work, nor utilize services (email, cloud storage, etc...) that I would use at home.
I'd use company devices and services solely for work and nothing else; anything I do on them is assumed to be publicly accessible.
This is especially true for social media with any form of personal identification which I avoid like the plague.
Similar deal with cloud storage, I assume anything I put on there is publicly accessible.

I store most of my sensitive and personal data locally at home without encryption, which is far from secure but it is an adequate measure for keeping my work and private life separate.
In the end of the day It is in my best interest to gain experience and keep my job at the very least until I find a better opportunity if it is insufferable.

Lucky you didn't get fired.

What company?
This is important.
