propietary botnet
is there anything better tho?
It's run by the Chinese.
Still shit privacy wise but better than the Google walled garden.
Startpage
Made by a Jew. You just can't trust them.
t. NSA
Because Startpage exists and it's better.
This.
(((Gabriel Weinberg)))
i use it, its the best google alternative by far. i refuse to use google. theres no major benefit to google anyway. if duckduckgo ever doesnt give you the result you need you just type !g and it searches google for you
duckduckgo.com
What about searx?
change settings dummy
Its pretty shit at finding related articles that arent 2+ years old, same with Bing, if I want the newest and most relevant news I pretty much have to go to googles site and search
Still good for finding out info that isnt time sensitive
you can't with js disabled
Is there any way to make startpage not be slow as fuck and lack 90% of the results google shows?
Better than google
Not only is it owned by a fat Jew, it straight up sucks as a search engine.
Use Startpage/Ixquick or Searx.
it's ads fucking insinuate that i'm bald had herpes, gay and criminal
the name is too long
Yeah the Herpes thing is way off since you are a virgin.
it's a botnet run by an advertising jew.
>Better than google
that doesn't mean much these days since pretty much everything's better than google.
I have kids
>I have kids
I guarantee you they're not yours.
I don't, I like it because of bangs. I don't even use the search engine itself, I just find it convenient to do "!gi waifu" and get waifu pics on google images
I got jew surname therefore i'm jew.
faggot.
even if he is. at least Jews are not terrorist.
lite is alright
>A mysterious startup appears out of the blue...
>A duck in a bowtie, run by a Jew.
>He promises privacy, to respect your space.
>But did you take note of the methods in place?
>A company US, your privacy sworn
>In 2010 markets Tor service (for your porn)
>Year later it's mentioned in Time Magazine
>"[it's] like early Google", the author did preen.
>"We do not track you!", the Duck says as you choose...
>Just remember: he's tracking the search terms you use,
>and the location data,
>though not your IP, (wink)
>but they get ads from Bing,
>don't you think that they see?
>Hosting their servers, guess who? Amazon!
>Do you trust their cloud, are you a moron?
>Now there's auto-suggestions.
>Think, how does that work?
>You trust that you're safe?
>I prescribe you more lurk.
>You hopped off of Google, privacy was the plan,
>but you've jumped out of the fire and into the pan.
Let me blow your mind real quick. Right click nearly any search bar and create your own bangs, right in your web browser. Pic related is from Waterfox. I didn't figure this out until just a little while ago.
>Jew not terrorist.
Did 9/11
USS Liberty
and many more
If your not searching for something incredibly specific the results are shit.
When I middle-click the non-URL part of a search result it tries to open the result in a popup window
Hate's a strong term for it but because compared to other engines, it's search results are pathetic. Google and Bing have the balls to deny me service just for using Tor, though, so I use it quite a bit.
They push the whole "Oh, we're SO much better than [company], we NEVER collect and sell your data", but they do anyway so that just doesn't sit right with me. But besides that, it doesn't give me the results I'm looking for. I did a test with a couple of large search engines and surprisingly, yahoo search gave me the second most relevant results behind google.
i guess it's cool? i dunno, it's just become habit to use ddg's bangs at this point. i'm one of those people where if i find a way to do something i just kinda stick with it i guess, even if there's better options out there
Sp is slow as molasses though. Is qwant any good? It looks awful but what else is there?
Yandex?
Good for images, but far weaker than google for other things, especially video
>They push the whole "Oh, we're SO much better than [company], we NEVER collect and sell your data",
Reminds me of Google's
>First do no evil
and makes me suspicious of what else they're doing that we don't know about. Probably still better about privacy and other things in total than the well known engines, though.
it's "don't be evil"
an anagram of "evil den bot"
Oh, saw it misquoted somewhere, then.
I thought the founder was a Jew and that was the reason why
Does DuckDuckGo have an answer to google map and google translate? Those are the only two things I need to find a substitute for
More than a third of the web runs from Amazon. Are YOU a moron?
Isn't Yahoo literally just Bing?
a fuckign duck
DuckDuckGo is down. What the fuck did you guys do?
