How often do you use autoscrolling?

How often do you use autoscrolling?

Never. I use free-scrolling on my logitech mouse.

whenever i accidentally press the middle mouse button down, however turning it off now thanks op

I don't think I've even accidentally used it.

fairly often actually

Very often. Big reason why browsing on linux is such a pain when coming from windows.

yeah only happens when i go to middle mouse click a link to open in new tab but accidentally scroll down a notch while clicking

Pretty much always

>Trackpoint scrolling mustard rice

When I'm using my thiccpad, I always use the nipple

i use autoscrolling in my browser on linux

stop using chrome

Never for any practical reasons

...

>keyboard-only control masterrace
I guess pretty much never.

Or what?

Why don't you just obey bitch?

Just install the AutoScroll extension in chrome dumbass

Down arrow or page down?

Everytime I accidentally scroll click

Home row keys for everything, since I'm using vim-like controls. When you're using the keyboard for literally everything, it feels much more seamless and natural than using mouse or trackpad with occasional hotkeys, however there's quite a steep learning curve.

Pretty often, for when I'm trying to scroll the page very precisely

I didn't even know it was a feature desu

Whenever I misclick while trying to open a link in another tab.

All the time

Not super often, but enough that I miss it when I don't have it.

uses javascript. it fucks up some pages too. also running javascript on every page is fucking retarded. try using your brain before you post next time

i used to but hated it. firefox has a better wheel acceleration that i now use

about:config page, and then filter by mousewheel.acceleration

Very often. It's the closest to TrackPoint scrolling when using a real mouse.
It works on Firefox, but I'm guessing you know that already.
j/k scrolling with a vim extension is comfy as well, but it's not fast and smooth like autoscrolling is.

A few times per day.

Two finger scrolling is better.

All the time. 90% of my web browsing is done with middle click.
Usually I like to have the page slowly scrolling as I read through it.

>wants to avoid javascript
>uses chrome
are you mentally handicapped?

All the time. It's pretty much a very useful feature. When you want fine control on scrolling middle click is always there. You want to skim a page? It's also useful. You don't want to move your hand away from the mouse to press END to get to the bottom of the page? Autoscroll can help you. Click scroll wheel and and move cursor to the bottom of the page.

Chrome is fucking written in Javascript. Chrome is a browser written to run on a Javascript engine.

Mostly for side-scrolling (e.g. panning around a large image)

>using a computer with a trackpad so shitty you have to use autoscrolling or a separate external mouse
fucking poorfags i swear

This

I turned it off because I do this There's nothing better.

>using trackpads unironically
faggot

I use it every day for reading articles or cartoons

Whenever I misclick a link.

Wish I could just turn the shit off.

so that's what this shit was for

>j/k scrolling with a vim extension is comfy as well, but it's not fast and smooth like autoscrolling is.
It is butter smooth, also there's u/d for fast scrolling and gg/GG for jumping to the top and bottom.

All the fucking time, specially on Sup Forums.

All the time since I have a cheap genius mouse and the scroll wheel broke during the first week of use.

>whenever i accidentally press the middle mouse button down, however turning it off now thanks op
This

Only when I skimming a thread on Sup Forums.

>accidentally clicking the only button worth using on browsers.
I bet you go into links then go back again instead of using middle click to always open in new tab.

I just select links and google search it, then click on first result.

actually this

I use pic related + middle click buttom to scroll. Maximum efficiency, will never use a mouse again

Do you use Internet Explorer 6 perhaps?
You know there's a thing called tabs on browsers.

Yeah, I know! I open new tab, then type google.com and paste url in search box usually
I use edge.exe

You're beyond repair.

Whenever I click to the side of a link I want to open in a new tab

99% of the time I'm scrolling

this

I'm using autoscrolling atm because my T420 is glitching up after I gave it a clean today. My mouse keeps freezing periodically every 2s or so (accompanied by a system beep) and my keyboard isn't working, so autoscroll is the best way to browse while I get things fixed.

Pure coicindence that this thread crops up right as this happens to me. If I had seen this just yesterday, I'd haven't had thought about autoscroll for several years.

Never because my middle click is broken. Quite frequently until then.

I fucking love this shit. Linux not having it is the reason I stopped using Mint after only using it for a few hours.

It's pretty much essential for web browsing and ebooks imo.

Pic unrelated.

never it doesn't fucking work right half the time wiht pages that grab the screen and move it

Pretty much all the damn time

It works on Linux with Firefox, stop using the botnet.

>Linux not having it

The FUCK are you talking about? I'm using it every day and also using Mint

When I'm jacking off and the picture is too big and I have to scroll sideways
