I'm still on Android Lollipop.
What did I miss on the new Android versions?
Can't be bothered to listen to technigger review guy

Nothing.
is it good to upgrade my marshmallow to oreo?
The splitscreen from nougat
That's it, really
is Android "smooth" yet?
I prefer oreo's, they taste better
You're missing not having memory leaks.
It's smooth since kitkat. Pure AOSP obviously, not the crap that comes preinstalled on phones.
>eating majorly sugar products
this
fpbp
They fixed the massive memory leaks after Android 5
They patched some massive security flaws after Android 5
It's bad enough that I would sell any device that is still on 5 and can't have a 3rd-party rom installed.
>You're missing not having memory leaks.
nah man, I used Xposed to fix that
>>They fixed the massive memory leaks after Android 5
fixed with an Xposed module
>They patched some massive security flaws after Android 5
they fixed security flaws on a mass surveillance device with a 24/7 open microphone/camera.
COOL. keep me posted.
>guy ask questions
>answer questions
>replies with some faggy snarky shit
If you like your Android 5 device, keep it. I don't even know why you made this thread.

I got a real reply, "the split screen for nougat"
fixing a security flaw is not a reply, since Google is in cahoot with NSA
I'm less interested in keeping the NSA out of my device or useless shit like split screen than people using easily exploitable security flaws to steal information off my phone.
Splitscreen is useless. Double tap recents to switch between last used app is a godsend though
1.) Android is ugly as fuck now. But you're on an earlier Galaxy, so that probably doesn't matter to you. You're used to it.
2.) Screensplitting is now a default feature.
3.) not particularly, no. Not as laggy as it was before but still has miles to go.
4.) Added support for a "guided assistance" like feature.
5.) Google Wallet and Android Pay, which used to be just Google Wallet, have been combined and are now just Google Pay.
That's about it.
Split screen is perfect, what are you smoking? It's only useless if you have a low-res manlet phone
Which module? I'd like to try it
Lollipop is complete shit because you can't disable heads-up notifications, Kitkat was great.
Most users will only notice cosmetic changes. Nougat should be your daily driver, unless you want to get a Pixel device.
Optimizations, bug fixes and security updates. I remember going from KitKat to Marshmallow in a day on my S5, the performance increase was very noticeable. No more spontaneous lags/hangs and the battery life got slightly better.
>fixed security flaws on a mass surveillance device with a 24/7 open microphone/camera.
Actually, they will do this in 9.0. Background apps will be unable to use the microphone and camera.
