What price should the Xiaomi Mi 6 go for? I've looked at Aliexpress and it goes for around $420 which seems a bit high since it's a Snapdragon 835 phone

LG V20 stronk!

strong*

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or Lenovo P2?
Both have SD625. I want them for the battery. I can buy a Note 4 for 160-200 euros and a P2 for 330 euros. Is the battery so much better? Is it worth the price difference?

Just carry around some mobile battery.

And even if the battery is better, that wouldn't be the only thing making the price that much higher. It could be worse and be higher for other reasons.

why the notch

Attached: oneplus-6r1.jpg (160x212, 11K)

Had a Lenovo P2 but broke the screen. The battery is fucking godlike, at least a whole day of battery with medium use.

Buy a glass protector, don't be a retard.

;_;7

1. It is not popular to like "bezel free" displays
2. Smartphone manufacturers are too boring to come up with interesting ways to implement front sensors / camera in a different way.

Not hard.

What's the cheapest AMOLED smartphone in the market?

I have a 2.5 day battery life on my RN4 running the latest miui.eu rom.

What's the scoop on iPhone SE2 kids?

I'm sick of phablets they're for girls. I want a 4" to 4.5" phone.

No Sony Xperia I'm on Verizon.

That's not a phone.

yeah but /pmp/s dead

i forgot to type in; is it worth the price? it is an x7 but i here fiio's x5 3rd gen is very similar

Don't be mad you're poor and have baby hands. Note 8 is love Note 8 is life.

Not ugly but boring.

But shoutouts to the compact.

Is Blackberry Keyone worth it? I really miss having a physical keyboard, but at the same time I'm aware I'm paying a lot for the gimmick and could get a lot more bang for my buck with just about any other phone. My only real requirements for a phone are typing not being a chore (so maybe just getting a phone with a larger screen or stylus would help more?), and good battery life.

Just like your dick.

Does the Mi A1 support exFAT or not? I need to know ;-;

They did all the wrong things and I will never forgive them.

Such as

Moving the FP sensor, dropping 3.5mm jack, the design, enlargement, higher resolution, and the dumb gimmick they strapped to the XZ2 is tragic as fuck. It's just generally regressive. Omnibalance was a fine design that was heavily criticized by people outside of the intended audience and the adoption rate was more likely due to zero advertisement in the US.

>FP sensor
Rear is better than the side, and I say this as a z5c owner.

>dropping 3.5mm jack
Sucks though personally don't care as I own a dap.

>the design
Agree it's uglier. Less ugly from the front though so I can deal, but it is overall worse.

>enlargement
Still small enough for me, and if they are going to keep the bezels, I don't mind the slight enlargement.

>higher resolution
Fine with this as well. I thought the 720p vs 1080p effect on battery life was nothing?

>dumb gimmick
Which?

I have been using Redmi Note 3 for about 2 years now, I've dropped it multiple times and now it's screen is cracked and battery life is absolutely fucked. Obviously it can be repaired but I'd rather buy a new phone.
I really like the MIUI so I'm bent on buying a Xiaomi although if there's something better, I could go for that potentially.
I'm from India and my budget is somewhere between ₹10,000-₹18,000 ($154-$277)
Any suggestions would be welcome, thanks

>he's trying to argue opinions
Gee man, good luck trolling.

>higher resolution
Marginal in overall drain directly from the screen, but consider the extra processing power, even just rendering scrolling webpages, not to mention games and shit you faggots like to play.

>dumb gimmick
The music vibrator.

Attached: 1508126750275.jpg (250x250, 5K)

Also the 720 screen already hits 319ppi so pushing it any further is just a means to placate more of the audience that has zero understanding of technology and doesn't prioritize pragmatism in the least.

>he's trying to argue opinions
Wasn't arguing anything, was just explaining why some things were personally OK with me, not that they should be OK with you.

If anything, you were trying to argue opinions, since you said "they did the WRONG tihngs" when half the things you mentioned are not objectively wrong.

Redmi Note 5 Pro/Plus

Changing the form factor of a compact phone when there is literally zero competition in the market to accommodate a display that pushes beyond the boundary of diminishing returns to reduce functionality while compromising the long standing design language that was your company's trademark in the cesspool of nebulous phone designs and manufacturers while eliminating another long standing utilitarian standard for no reason is all objectively bad.

Attached: 1510332777190.gif (415x212, 2.85M)

So I just bought an LG V30. How bad did I fuck up??

>implying there is a difference in hardware that all comes from the same chink OEMs.

Get a device with CopperheadOS, fuck the Google backdoor play services. Only thing that matters.

The Nokia 6 is selling for next to nothing right now we're I am, should I bite? I've been meaning to replace my phone for a bit now.

My grandma has a really cheap Samsung Galaxy J1 2016 and it has an AMOLED screen.

Check out that Vivo Apex tho

Nah, the 2017 Nokias are not so good.

When is Samsung planning on shipping S9 preorders in NA?

Forced to move over from iOS to Android for the first time, to a shitty LGK20, and I'm guessing I need to ~root~ this thing before I can do certain tweaks, but how should an android n00b go about that without accidentally opening myself up to a chinese botnet or installing russian dolphin porn bots?

Russian dolphin porn boots are part of the experience.

What kind of moods are you wanting to do?

The front is really nice and square, I can forgive the branding. The back tho, 2curvy4me

What's wrong with them?

The front reminds me of the Nintendo DS Lite

Mostly I had been looking at the Android apps/games page on the old [Sup Forums's recommended games] wiki and wanted to be able to install apps I get recommended that require root stuff, or TOTALLY LEGITIMATE GAMES, or that one adblocker, maybe the app that lets you manually alter your CPU speeds, root explorer so I can gut out the pre-installed bloat apps and junk. And maybe that value editor to cheat on normie mobile games to cut out the grind.

has to be tomorrow if they said we get them by Wednesday.

Are microLED phones in the pipeline yet? I hate AMOLED burn in.

If I root my device will it stop getting updates?

lol, i've had mine since last thursday. being a europoor isnt all bad.

Upgraded from a launch day 5c to an S8 a week ago.
Is this what coming out of chastity is like?

Go for the Note 4 imo

You will probably get an error when trying to apply an OTA. You'll need to unroot, but if you made any /system modifications like adaway then you're fucked and need to restore stock first.

I got the tracking number for mine yesterday, but it hasn't been shipped out yet.

Why did Sony change the design anyway? Was the average consumed that turned off by the rectangular look?

Even if, you'd think Sony could come up with something a bit nicer instead of just ripping off an HTC U11.

Attached: DYDM0tIV4AAvegx.jpg (720x480, 20K)

It was the rectangular design, big bezels and blandness combined.

Consumers like standing out, Sony phones stood out by looking old, and cheap (because of the shape). Nobody likes old and cheap stuff in the mass market.

The bezels are one thing but if you look at the front Bezels of the XZ2 and consider those to be fine, why would people be that turned off by the older square look + thinner bezels? I've never heard anyone say they were turned off by Xperias just because of the boxy look.

It's personal preference for sure but I much prefer the look of more squared off phones. Even if it isn't as boxy as the Xperia, I'd rather a phone look like the Essential Phone than the new Xperias or the Galaxy line.

samsung's site proper, or did you get it direct from a carrier?

I liked the old design too but this is still nice. Looks like the iphone 3G.

That's the U11 Plus not the XZ2

Can I go to China, walk around Shenzhen, and get someone to mod the internals of my phone? Put in a better camera, etc.

>5 inch screen
>compact

LOL

No... that's not how phones work.

1:2 5’’ it’s just a longer 4.57’’ 16:9 screen.

Is the "xperia cameras are shit" thing a meme or not? Is the XZ1 camera bad?

I can't tell if people think the actual cameras or bad, or of most people now generally just prefer the more saturated photos that the pixel / iphone / galaxy cameras produce, and the xperia now doing the same makes people think it looks "worse" despite the camera itself not being shit.

Any recs?

poor neet here
i'm thinking about getting a refurbished htc one m8 from ebay
anything i should look out for?

I'm so happy with the mi max 2 I plan to either get the 3 or the mix 2s

>phablet

whats the smaller version

Man Zuk Z2 is some good shit

My friend was having some Bluetooth battery drain issues on nougat and official Chinese Oreo is out now. Went all the way and installed official AOSP-extended Oreo 8.1 on it.

Suddenly massive battery life, speed and aosp ui with everything just werking. OTA updates. I paid $169 for this thing 2 years ago.. sd820 and 4gb has some staying power.

Best part was she came from an iPhone 5s. The zuk z2 is like a bigger version of this phone.

Attached: sku_449421_1.jpg (700x700, 54K)

thanks for the info user!
im looking at one too now

Not him, but there's not much wrong with them, you'd just be missing out if you didn't wait for the newer ones since they're much better specs-wise. The 2017 Nokia 6's processor is weak for a 1080p phone.

Probably A1

Moto Z2 Play

xda-developers.com/xiaomi-mi-7-notch-display/
mi 7 got redesigned, has a notch now

Best

le pro 3 is pretty good, $188

smartphones are fuckin stupid

In what world is that high?

Third

will there be any relative-budget phones (like $400) with SD 845 that don't have a notch?

You didnt. It is a great phone, enjoy it!

Galaxy Nexus

I second that question. Probably going to pick up an XZ1 compact on Thursday, it's on sale for 350€ which is an insane deal considering the specs.

Will there be any relative cheap budget sd845 phones at all?

What can I get for 720p screen and good Lineage support?

anyone here have experience with Leeco phones?

Since the mobile devices of the latest generation are now capable of powering the desktop user experience, why there's no active steps towards it?
Specifically application wise?
The only companies that are pushing it are Samsung with it's DeX station /DeX book, Razor, Huawei and Apple.

Attached: 1520600231251.jpg (550x844, 59K)

Probably because no one wants it. The people who aren't autistic enough are satisfied with just using a phone/tablet, and the ones who are autistic enough already have dedicated computers and/or laptops

Zenphone 5z is going to be $499. That's probably the cheapest SD845 phones are gonna get.

Then, are there web browsers that are optimized for desktop experience?
Something that support various extensions like (UOBlock/Greasemonkey/Stylish)

What ROM should I put on my xiaomi mi a1?

Im kinda new to the whole smartphone party but I readyto try out some things.

Isnt the point of mi a1 to have stock android without buying a nexus or pixel? I have mi a1 just for that reason, but if you can convience me i might install a ROM too

I currently have the Xiaomi Redmi 2. I'm thinking of upgrading to either the Redmi 4A or 4X. Those are pretty much the only two options at the price point/what I need.
Currently the 1GB of RAM is making mine either slow down or just freeze sometimes. I use IM's and Instagram/Pinterest with some browsing.
I'm not sure whether to go for 2GB or 3GB or ram if it makes that much of a difference. Tested my friend's 4X and liked it, I've never tested a 4A though.
Any thoughts or recommendation?
The 4X also seems to have a less bright screen when the brightness is turned all the way down compared to my R2. (Don't really care about it, but just wondering if that's normal).

Attached: Xiaomi-Redmi-2.jpg (800x800, 139K)

Ah I see, I just don't want to get a new one because I can get a 2017 for literally nothing

Get a Moto G5 plus
