I love you guys

I love your style, it reminds me of a super fucked up hybrid of Built to Spill and Giles Corey. The percussion that starts around 2:08 is definitely too loud, but that's my only complaint. Everything is else is top notch. I like that drawing too, its hella schizophrenic.

I'm loving these noisy textures mixed with spoken word. this stuff is really weird and interesting.

Nice, don't see much Psytrance anymore. Sounding pretty good.

Kick needs a little more power (are you sidechaining?), hats are a little too high and too loud (makes them sound a little messy on soundcloud). All the weird Psytrance shit sounds awesome, and your bassline works.

I'd say go for darker percussion next time, if that makes any sense. Really cool track, dude.

>Feedback is much appreciated

You've gotta EQ this shit. Every actual element is good, but it doesn't fit together very well and your drums sound like they're being played in the basement while the rest of the song is chilling in the upstairs bedroom. Not a fan of the strings, but that's just me. The sidechain on them doesn't really sound great. Get something to specifically play the bass frequencies, don't just count on them being filled in by your lack of EQ on everything else.

The first half of the song is really damn cool though, just work on all that stuff

Thanks a lot, thats some useful feedback.
Yes kick is sidechained to the bass compressor threshold. I dont really get what you mean by darker percussions, though. Like a lower pitch for the hihats?

Returning all feedback

Thanks, I really focussed on making the whole album flow so glad you liked that.

Fade to Black and Enchanted Oak are me working in my genre I'm most comfortable with (Ambient) so I think it shines a lot there, I tried to focus on creating atmosphere on Fade to Black a ton in particular.

As far as production, I'm pretty trash when it comes to that in all honesty. I tried a lot while making this album to mix to my best capabilities but I'm still not very skilled in that area (Shrine of the Fallen was a nightmare in particular). I think the only track mixing wise I was 100% happy with was Fade to Black. I'm going to school for that now, so hopefully I should see improvement soon.

Low end I should probably try to incorporate more, but it wasn't ever my biggest strength and I always kinda stayed away from it.

Thank you for the feedback though, listening to your stuff now.

SHIT I FORGOT FEEDBACK
Ill just pick random people
Damn this is spacey as fuck. I love all the little parts and textures that appear in and out
Planet is really moody, I feel like more textures would accompany it better though
The ambient parts on Sonder are nice, though the percussion is a bit too "angry" for the track itself
Really cool ambience, the banjo work is good too
For some reason this track made me anxious. Not sure why but it's good so it's fine with me
This is very unique, I don't usually see shit like this being made. Check it out

I like the track itself, it's cool. I would however put more work in the mixdown and mastering. Too much highs and mids, way too little bass. And the high pitched instruments kinda clash into another. Yes there is a lot of EQing to do.
Really cool track, though.

I dont know man. Sounds like there went something wrong with your percussions.
The first part is really clean, but when it enters the second part, the whole thing sounds kinda off. Hihat and snare are distorted in a bad way, like they are clipping, and that kills the mood of the song for me because it gets so uneasy.

Your vocals are great. Especially your wonderful, wonderful falsetto.

I recommend this a lot, very nice, soft vocals and beautiful atmosphere created by the instrumentation.

from:

my thing was, I kinda wanted to make them really loud and abrasive (listened to DG right before I incorporated them lol). In the para eq for the hats I have the upper mid cranked all the way up so that might be my prob

Left feedback on SC

Though there is nothing wrong with breaking a few rules, however hardpanning a kickdrum would typically not be considered a good idea psychoacoustically (as related to omnidirectIonality of low freq's). The effect, when listening to headphones it can be disorienting. Would like to hear it be a little longer and have some variation. Overall I think its cool but you should at least a allow for a little bleed with the kick to the L channel.

Some cool synths but I dont really like this. Sorry I can't comment on it further because I don't know what you're trying to achieve here. I mean I can hear you have some production skill, but the "track" is just random notes?

Cool sample choice, but the chop is a little random. Drums needs a lot of work also, you're using quite "natural" sounding samples and recycling them a lot in the track so it sounds very weird -- try get some round robin in there by layering more and switching it up. Could also use some bass perhaps?

Every Song has a story to it this one is about my aunt, read replies for the story about this fucking cunt.

soundcloud.com/skrim-dimmler/i-hope-you-die-in-a-fire

This was written about my aunt, she stole over 250k in money and over 2.5 million in assets from my family. She rewrote my grandmother and grandfathers will (while my grandmother was on her deathbed suffering from dementia) and got her to sign it. She emptied my savings account to buy her new horse trailer. Pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters I had to roll up every time I visited my grandmother and grandfather as a child, all the while being promised that this money would be going to my savings account, and I would have access to it when I became an adult. Well I am an adult now, my grandparents are both dead, and all those pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters are gone with them. She loves to talk the talk of being a farmer, but she has never actually worked a day of physical labor in her entire life. She actually subconsciously explained to me the last time I stayed at my grandmothers old house(which is now hers) how she manipulated my grandmother into signing that piece of paper. We were the sharecroppers without the sharing, but at least we got to have a roof over our head for the 20 years I lived out there, and the 35 years my father slaved away; raising thousands of cattle and shipping them in 70 year old wooden pens that could be considered death traps. Dad hunted off the land to put food in our bellies when oil was in the shitter, which was like the entirety of my childhood, but we had a wonderful life. All we could ever ask for was one another. I have never had any great love for money, but it truly does show you someones inner self. When we left the old ranch house, my aunt swooped in and manipulated my grandmother into basically hating us for leaving.

We had to ship the entire herd due to drought in 2006, and we moved in 2007 because dad had finally had enough of my grandmothers bullshit, and he found out about my aunts desire to split up the ranch. The "Century Ranch" she is so proud of to have stayed in our family for a century has been sliced up, and we got the crust. Dad said he was amazed they left him anything at all. My father offered to pay off the bank note in its entirety if we could build a new house out there by the lake, my grandmother pretty much told my father to go fuck himself. She hated the fact that dad had made some money for himself in oil and gas, he was one of the best landmen in the state. The final straw was my grandmother chewing him out on mothers day for calling too late, it was like 5:00 pm. We moved to the suburbs into a regular suburban home that seemed like a mansion compared to the hovel we spent most of our lives in. My aunt purchased the home we sharecropped out of for 1 United States Dollar a month or two after we moved; the ceiling partially caved in shortly after her purchase. Maybe there actually is a god. She has made some minor cosmetic changes, like putting in wooden glossy floors to give it a rustic feel and she fixed the ceiling, but my old home is now used for her storage. She has boxes and boxes of shit chest high stored in what once was our home. When we moved she pillaged the arrowhead collection we had, cherry picking through artifacts my father had collected over an entire lifetime. She lies about it to this day, but who the fuck has time to break into a house and literally go through rocks? Why not take the entire collection? She is so much smarter than everyone else I guess she figured nobody would notice. Her entire life she has obtained anything she has ever wanted regardless of how immoral the means.

soundcloud.com/cowingzounds

> indie, improv, joke rock, noise, covers, weird

We just keep plugging away!

She has told me that she will not be leaving the land that my sister and I grew up on to "Her brothers children" and in lieu of this information I will not be leaving her public facade untouched by the truth. She controls the access road to the entire property and our crumb of the pie sits in the very back of the pasture. She has already told me that if I even attempt to throw any kind of festival or even she would contact the DEA and the local Sheriffs dept. and she controls the road that goes into property.

Any time we go out there to visit the ghosts of our childhood past my sister and I are stalked by her, she has cameras all over the place. Including on our third of the property. She leased the hunting rights out to a bunch of cops, a patch of earth that my father used to grow some of the finest herb in the world on is now being hunted by the brown shirts. It pays the taxes though, and due to her complete and total unyielding negative attitude towards our own endeavors the policia remain. She absolutely refuses to cooperate with us, forcing our hand to sell the homestead that we once never even dreamed of leaving. While we were visiting the spot where my father had his heart attack and died, my mother began to lay flowers on the location of his spirits departure from his physical body. While tears were pouring out of her devastated eyes, my aunt asked her 4 times if she wanted her to take a picture. Not once, not twice, FOUR fucking times. She would have kept asking her but I cut in and as politely as I could told her to shut the fuck up.

Gimme some feedback on this. I know the second track for the solo was a bad idea and the timing on the vocals at the end is a little off but I want to know if there's anything else I can improve

soundcloud.com/ultach/the-castillian/s-rpJul

I dig it

My father was arrested in 1979 in Texas with 65 pounds of Hawaiian Afgani herb, it was the largest bust of high grade marijuana in that city up until that time, so it made the front page of the paper. He was given back his pistol 10 years later, it was a colt model 1911 38 super auto assembled in 1919. He bought it off of an old vet who needed some money for booze. The cops gave him back his pistoli, but even in death he couldnt escape my aunts judgment. I drove her to Austin not too long ago, and half the trip there she was telling me how terrible it was when my father was arrested, and how it completely ruined the reputation of her family, by her family I mean her and my grandmother. My father had just passed away and she is telling me how much of a piece of shit he was while I am driving her to go to her farming class so she can learn how to jerk off her long horns and perform a proper donkey show with the inbred jackasses that started out as just one. now there are 3. I have named them all after her. I am not a greedy person at all, any time I get any money I spend it on family, drugs, and music equipment. Always in that order.

I am releasing the album I am writing about her one song at a time on soundcloud for free because the world needs to know about this fucking woman. My sister has asked me to hold off on releasing her personal information and posting things on facebook about her until we are able to retrieve whatever is left of our belongings out there, while we still have the limited access to our ancestral homeland that we do. If you are still reading this I would like you to know that I love you, and you are a beautiful soul. I know I probably come across as an entitled piece of shit to some of you, because some of you never had what I was blessed/cursed with. I am eternally grateful for all the years we spent out there. They were rough years, but we were happy, we were a family and we loved one another more than words could possibly explain. My aunt will never have what we had, and that makes her jealous as fuck, envious to the point of being pathetic, and petty to the point that she has to bash a dead man a month after he died talking to his son while he is going out of his way to be her personal fucking uber driver trapped in the ford king ranch truck she bought with his fucking savings account money. Dad had to supply his own trucks when we were out there, and they always got beat to shit. The old 95 GMC sierra is sitting in the driveway behind the garage at my current home with all kinds of dents in it from cattle. Her 2014 king ranch is shiny white without a scratch and has one of those fucking truck bed covers that you can lock up. I know I sound like a greedy little shit but I'm really not, I am thinking about my niece, and maybe someday my children, they will never have what we had out there.

Sure we will get a new place somewhere else, maybe in Colorado where the herb is legal and the air is cool, but I was Texas born and Texas raised. Texas has fucked my family enough though. I don't give a fuck whos name is on the ownership papers, that land will always be more my sisters and mine than it will ever be hers. Here is a story to sum up my aunt in the best way possible. Every summer she and my father would go stay with my great grandfather out on the ranch, my fathers time spent out there consisted of fun activities like breaking rock up with a sledgehammer and hauling it around like John Fucking Henry if John Henry had a pick up truck. If he ever wanted to go hunting, Boss would hand him a 5 gallon bucket to fill with pecans while he walked around out there. Not a second of his time was spent leisurely, even in his downtime ol Boss had him working. My aunts time on the ranch would consist of her riding her god damn horses around looking at the beautiful scenery of rolling hills and rattlesnake infested canyons, and when she got bored of that she would just go sit around in the air conditioned house while dad was worked like a slave from sun up to sun down. There is a reason why my great grandfathers nickname was Boss. Each of them would be paid 50 dollars at the end of their stay. And yes, my aunt is indeed a feminist.
