If I don't learn sql in 2 days I'll be on the street

you might as well lay down in the middle of a street and think about bad life choices while the truck being ran over you.

What the fuck do you think dude

Read how it works. SQL isn't hard if you use a reference. What's hard is normalizing your database

man sql

You first need to kiss the bee.

Run queries that don't have these words in them:
UPDATE
DELETE
TRUNCATE

It's literally the easiest possible thing in technology, probably easier than HTML. You watch Khan academy's youtube video and that's it.

No manual entry for sql

Installing Gentoo.

You haven't seen what's SQL is capable of, then. It's easy to learn basics of SQL, but if one needs SQL explicitly (as opposed to "server-side + some SQL") it's usually not the thing you can pick up in a day.

You don't. SQL learns you. When he finds you that is, so be careful.

DROP TABLE USERS

You can learn 90% of actually used, not mentioning data specialists, SQL in one day.

OP is kill. Why do you need to learn this SQL?

man suicide

Take a class nigger.

I don't get it. Surely truncating a table is more efficient than dropping ant recreating.

i'm more curious on learning what is advanced sql and how to go about learning it

No manual entry for suicide

the only way to actually learn sql fast without killing yourself

SQL stands for Shittiest Query Language.

> .asp
Enjoy your ban :^)

It's pronounced "squeal"

Sadly not enough, documentation will not teach you the current conventions and considerations you need to have actually developing applications.

How?

OP it's easy.
Fake it til you make it, that's exactly what I did. Query writing is the easy part.

Designing, ETL, BI, and scripting. Now that's where the money is.

The SQL portion will only be around 500 lines for a simple application. The rest of your program will always be bigger.

Sometimes SQL is all there is, like when you are hired do do "reports" for non-software company.

Set up Postgresql, do some queries, keep stuff normalized.
/thread

Why would you ever want to work for a software company

simple select queries
simple join queries
simple creation T-sql commands
sql procedures
sql triggers
sql subqueries
sql cursor procedures
etc..
It'll take a small week if you do it a few hours every day
you can fit it in 2, I guess
